Were you supposed to get yours direct depositied on or by the 2nd? Have you checked this morning? Everytime I get my federal refund it always goes in on a Friday so I'll cross my fingers for you that yours is there. I'm not supposed to get mine till th 9th so that doesn't help!

Yeah I was. I called the irs again and they said because I used TurboTax online, it's considered a refund anticipation loan and I won't get it direct deposited. I have to wait 2 weeks to get a check mailed ): I'm actually pretty upset about that because it WASNT a loan, I had to wait 2 Wks for my money.

I got mine direct deposited today! WOO HOO

How did you file Cors1wfe? I did mine on turbotax and they told me i'm getting a paper check and i don't understand why i didnt get direct deposit.

I didn't use turbo tax - we have a tax guy who submits electronically - my friend at work who used turbo tax didn't get hers either so???? not sure what that's about. Sorry

So I found out that if you used turbotax, you're getting a paper check. period. according to the irs, even though it isn't a refund anticipation loan, that is how turbotax transmits it's payments. guess i'll be waiting on a check in the mail ):

go to irs.gov && i used turbotax & got mine direct deposited today.

I also used turbo tax online and had my refund deposited electronically so I a__sumed this check (stimulus check) would also be direct deposited. Kendra, you got yours on time and used turbotax, right? I'm not due for my deposit till next Friday though so we'll see...

Ugh I filed with turbo tax also so I'm just going to cross my fingers I get mine next Friday.

Basically what the irs told me is that most of the phone calls they have got today have been from people who used turbotax. I looked on the turbo tax website and what I understand is if you used your refund to pay your fees and had your money deposited by Santa Barbara Bank & Trust, it was considered a refund anticipation loan even though it really wasn't one, because the money was deposited by a 3rd party. I called 18008291040 pressed option 2 then option 3 to talk to a live person, but beware it's like a 30 minute wait. Also, you can call the automated system but they only have information available for you once your rebate has already been processed. So I opted to sit on hold 30 minutes TWICE today to find out where my money was lol. There is also a where's my rebate option on the irs.gov website where you can enter your information, but again, it will only give you information if your rebate has already been processed.

Sorry, just to make it easier to understand, if you paid your fees with a credit card, you probably got your money. If you let turbotax take the fees out of your refund - when they try to direct deposit it, it will bounce back and generate a paper check for you.

Oh I think I'll get mine then, I remember entering my credit info....again crossing my fingers and I hope yours comes in the mail soon!!

RMC thanks for the info I didn't use turbo tax but I looked on the IRS website and according to the chart mine was going to be in there the 9th but when I checked that link you referred to - they already processed it and I should get it the 5th sweet!
