good luck - but remember, even if you are 3cm and 80% effaced - it could take you another 6 weeks! haha. :) Sorry, I was making a joke about myself but I guess it's not very encouraging! Well, you know I mean well! :) Keep me posted!!! Levi slept from 11-4:45, ate, and fell right back to sleep till 7:45. AWESOME!! He's starting to become a regular! I'm so excited about this. Tim says he didn't even need to stay home because he's been such a good baby - in comparison to how Rachel was he is a total angel. I feel so fortunate this time around - it's totally worth the extra two weeks I had to wait. :)

mjvdec01 - June 26

Well, the bad news is that I am 0 and 0%. The good news is that I am measuring the same this time as with Maddy at 36 weeks. So, I am right on track to have another 6 pound 8 ounce baby if I deliver at about 38 weeks like with Maddy. If I go to 39 weeks he should be about 7 pounds. After my appointment we went to Lowes and Jimmy picked his new BBQ. We are having it a__sembled and picking it up on saturday. Then we went to Costco, and then to AppleBee's for lunch. Now we are home and Jimmy needs to get some work done. Later he is going to take Maddy to get the bike helmet she has been asking for, and then they are going to the park. As far as getting this kid out, I am going to go to whatever lengths necessary to help it happen, s_x, squats, walking, whatever anyone suggests, I will do.

mjvdec01 - June 26

What were you at 36 weeks?? I know I shouldn't compare, but I am starting to obsess.

fefer1 - June 26

i was 3cm and 80% at 35 weeks - but we both know that it meant nothing. :) He came when he was ready to! The good news though about waiting longer is that they gain more weight and tend to sleep better sooner....just in case you have to go closer to or after your due date. Don't stress about being 0 and 0. It really doesn't mean anything. You can go at any moment - my friend was like that. 0 and 0 and she went into labor 4 days before her due date. The L&D nurses told me that walking is one of the best things to do because it uses gravity to get the babies head to engage, which puts pressure on the cervix to dilate. They also said to sit on those exercise b___s and rock side to side and to do the same thing standing up - move your hips from side to side. It actually feels good too. :) Sounds like you guys had a busy day! We went to babies r us and got diapers, ran to get Tim some tools and stuff, cleaned the garage and got stuff ready for the garage sale, went and got burgers to BBQ and then we're gonna finish getting ready for tomorrow and watch my So You Think You can Dance. I feel like I have sooo much to do still! I haven't priced anything at all - I need to list it on Craigslist too...ugh..so much to do so little time!!

mjvdec01 - June 26

Oh my god, you are doing all of that and are only 11 days post partum!?!? I could hardly walk at that point after I had Maddy, and when she was 12 days old we had a water leak in the garage and had to have 800 square feet of hardwood flooring torn up in our house because of water damage. Jimmy just got home from his run and is getting in the shower with maddy, so I am going to run up to Fred Meyer for one of those excercise b___s you mentioned. I think Julie and I are also going for a walk in about an hour. Maybe I will make Jimmy have s_x with me too. Anyway, good luck with the garage sale. I hope you make millions!

mjvdec01 - June 27

Walked today with Julie, and played with Maddy in the back yard. It is so hot outside. I hope you did well with the garage sale. I'm going to feed Maddy dinner quick and play a bit more, then around 7pm I will get her a bath. Jimmy won't be home until about 10pm, but then we have the weekend and Monday he will be home by 1:30pm. Anyway, I hope you are surviving in the heat. This weekend is supposed to be a lot warmer. Talk to you later.

fefer1 - June 29

hey there - it's been almost too hot to be inside on the computer. We're outside on the NEW patio enjoying the cool air. Our house is 90 right now and it's after 8. It really sucks. Last night Rachel would not go to sleep till 10pm. She was fussing on and off for 2 hours. ugh! She had a short nap too because it was too hot - AND the night before we went to a drive in movie thinking she would go to sleep and NO she stayed up till the movie was over at midnight and screamed at us nearly the entire time. I was about to go crazy from her nasty little att_tude. She climbed all over the car too because she would not sit in the car seat without screaming. It was soooo bad. Plus, I hadn't had that much sleep the night before and we were doing the garage sale and I was just a wreck anyways. All I wanted to do was relax and watch a movie. Anyways - yesterday we played in the yard and in the little tiny pool and weeded the yard some and worked on encircling/stoning an area next to the patio. We have a some trees next to the patio and a dirty area so we put the stone around it and started to bark the area. It looks really nice. But...it's been so hot out! I live downstairs and on the patio! :) Levi is being real good too. He slept from 10:30 to 4, then went right back to sleep after eating till a little after 7. I got some good sleep. :) Soo..what's up with you? Have any good BBQ's?? I need to run - got to pee and Levi is needing some attention. Wish me luck tomorrow - my first day all alone!!!! tim goes back to work already. :(

mjvdec01 - June 30

Hey, I know the heat stinks. I have AC and sometimes I still can't get cool enough. Have you thought about getting some window units for the bedrooms to make it bearable at night? Julie has them in their house and they work really well. I think they are only about $100 a piece. Well, we found the BBQ Jimmy wanted at Lowes and bought it on thursday. He grilled dinner the last two night and is very pround of his new 'toy'. I have been nesting like crazy, but I am making headway with my list of things that need to be done. I have given Jimmy and myself a deadline of july 6th to get everything completed and I plan on sticking to it. It will me batty if Nathan comes and there are things not done. Julie came over this evening and helped me finish the painting, and I washed the crib bedding, even though he won't be sleeping in the crib for several weeks, I had to do it. I washed all the padding on the swing and bouncy seat, and carseat in the washer. I put the swing and bouncy seat back together and Jimmy installed the baby seat in the van and moved Madalyn's seat to the other side. Maddy didn't seem bothered by the move, but we will see. It's funny, she keeps trying to sit in the bouncy seat, which is a lost cause. Anyway, my OB appointment is thursday, I will be a little upset if I am still 0 and 0%. I have been walking all over and sitting on my ball for about 30 minutes a day- is that enough time on the ball?? As far as s_x goes, I just don't want to, but I think I may have no choice if I really want to get things going. Well, the crib bedding is dry, so I need to put it back on the crib and get to bed. How did the garage sale go?

fefer1 - June 30

haha -rachel does the same thing with the bouncy seat - and the swing. It's a pain trying to keep her off the stuff. Even the car seat!!! Ok, don't stress about being 0-0, it means NOTHING. :) Really!!! I know you will though - it's hard not too. The garage sales wasn't that great but we didn't have as much stuff as I'd have liked, and no one wants baby clothes. We did get rid of some c___p though, even some of our free pile went away overnight. :) tim's ex is giving us more c___p - I guess she is trying to say that the extra money he sent her when his son first went to live with her was a "gift" and should not be counted towards child support and that he is in arrears in Kansas. She is such *&%*)!!!!!!! He even wrote child support on the checks - but since he didn't send it through the Kansas Payment Center to forward to her, she's saying it doesn't count. We already dealt with this over 2 years ago and it's really starting to p__s me off. Boeing is supposed to give some bonus out in July and he got a letter saying it would go to Kansas because of all this c___p. We never hear about it until the process has been rolling for a while. It's p__sing me off big time. Why on earth she feels the need to pull this c___p is beyond me. Tim was being nice and sending her money because he knew he'd owe it to begin with and thought he should send her the money before the court made it's decision, which was 8 months later. You get screwed if you try to do the right thing it seems. Anyways.....got that off my chest now. :) I can't wait to be done with her!!!!!! So keep walking - and s_x, well - it wasn't any fun for us and I didn't try the last month. There was NO motivation at all. : ) I don't know how long on the ball either. I tried to sit on it while watching TV or at the dinner table - whenever I could. Good luck and keep me posted!!

mjvdec01 - June 30

His Ex is doing it because she can. She is obviously still angry with Tim for some reason, probably because he re married someone younger than her. That really sucks that she is garnishing his bonus. She is really latching on to every penny she can... what a piece of work she must be. It is too bad you got her too when you married Tim. Anyway, tomorrow is Jimmy's actual birthday, but we celebrated today since he was home early, nothing big. Maddy wanted daddy to have a Dora cake, so I picked up a cake at Safeway, had the lady write "Happy Birthday Daddy" on it and then when I got home I snatched one of Maddy's Dora figures and stuck it on top. It actually looked pretty cute. We had chicken enchiladas and corn for dinner and I left the cake in the center of the table as incentive for Maddy to eat. I told her that there was no cake if she didn't eat her dinner. That kid will eat just about anything you put in front of her if she thinks the pay off will be good. I have been able to get her to eat entire bowls of veggies when promised two lemon cookies the size of silver dollars, she will even eat for a couple of pretzles, or strawberries. She doesn't get sweets very often at all, so the promise of CAKE!! was a huge deal. She is so funny sometimes. I am trying not to obsess about making progress, but it is so hard not to. I really want Dr. Edstrom to agree to an induction on the 17th. It would make things so much easier for us, and the arrangements that need to be made for my mom to be at our house with Madalyn. Although, I do not want to be induced if I am still 0 and 0%. I have no desire to force it from nothing. I would love it if it were the same conditions as with Maddy. I was 38 weeks 2 days and already having contractions, I was also dilated to 2cm and I think about 50%. Everything went textbook, other than having to use the vacuum, which didn't bother me at all. I was supposed to walk tonight with Julie, but she can't go as late as I need to. Maddy didn't get up until 9:30 this morning, so I can't even think of taking her up to brush her teeth and read stories until 8:30pm or she won't stay in bed and I will have to keep putting her back, which I don't have the energy for. Anyway, Jimmy is upstairs working and I might take the kid and go over to South Hill Mall to Hallmark. I want a keepsake box for Nathan like I have for Madalyn. They used to carry them at Babies"R"Us, but when I was last there they only had two on clearance, but they had big brown water stains on the fronts, and nothing else they had was what I want. Okay, I'm going to call the store before I pack Maddy up and head out. I hope the heat isn't too bad for you. Talk to you soon!!

fefer1 - July 1

hey - yeah, she's a piece of work. I wouldn't trade Tim though, even if it means keeping her. :) You'd think after 15 years of divorce you wouldn't care about your ex, especially since she was the cheater who left for greener gra__s - even while she was pregnant with the twins she was cheating. If that doesn't tell you something about her! oh well, 3 more years and we SHOULD be done with her. :) I wish I could entice Rachel with sweets. If I put something like that in front of her she would just scream till she got it and throw her food on the floor. OH, did I tell you that she has this strange habit of pa__sing out when she screams too long? Sometimes she gets so angry that she does that silent scream - but then won't take a breath and pa__ses out. She's done it 3 or 4 times now - thank goodness we were holding her and noticed something was up - and caught her so she didn't fall and hit her head. It freaks me out big time. Last night we were at my sisters till 10 pm - Tim helped my brother in law put in a new dishwasher - and Rachel played with Lizzy. She did NOT want to come home or go to bed. Today will be a fun one when she gets up. :) Good thing she's going back to my sisters this afternoon. I have to take Levi to get his hearing test re-done and I can't take her to that. He also has his second PKU tomorrow morning too so I'll get another hour or two Rachel free. It's hard dragging them both everywhere!! Especially when one of them throws tantrums! :) Tim's first day at work for me wasn't bad either! A friend came over with her 4 year old dd and played with Rachel outside all morning, then it was nap time, off to Lowes and then to my sisters. AND, Tim came home with a truck load of gifts from his employees for Rachel and Levi. They are so sweet! They already got us a gift card to Babies R Us...and Rachel has been getting all sorts of cool stuff too. :) She got a baby doll with a pacifier she's gonna love. Well good luck on the induction thing - sometimes it all works out the way it's supposed to. I wouldn't go in at 0&0 either - that's really forcing it out and making labor longer and more challenging. My friend who has the 3 month old was barely at 3cm and her cervix wasn't very ripe at all and she had 20 hours of labor on pitocin and 2 hours of pushing. Oh, great news! Not only is my sister in law pregnant and due in March, but one of my best friends is having a baby in january!!! They have been trying for a couple of years and ended up giving me their crib to use for Levi - well now I have to give it back. :) Not yet - but eventually. I can't believe I'm jealous they are pregnant! I think the excitement of having a baby was what I liked -not the actual being pregnant part. haha.. I hated that! Especially the stage YOU are in right now. YUCK!! Hey, any ideas on a birthday gift for a 2 year old boy? Other than clothes? You'd think it would be easy for me since Rachel is about the same age - but I don't know what little boys are into. Ideas???

mjvdec01 - July 1

When Rachel does the screaming thing, just b__w in her face as hard as you can, it will force her to stop and take a breath. That is what we were advised to do with Madalyn when she was younger. If I were going to buy a birthday gift for a 2 year old boy, I would go get a big Tonka Truck, or I would find some play power tools. Those are the kinds of things my nephew loves. Maddy went to bed pretty easy last night, but was awake at 5am. I changed her and put her back to bed, but she was up again at 6:11am. I woke up when Jimmy was getting ready this moring, and I wasn't even back to sleep again when she came in. I hadn't gotten to bed until about 12:30am, so all in all I got about 4 hours of sleep. Now the kid and I are both crabby. I had better get going, I have a lot of errands to run today. :o}

fefer1 - July 2

hey - so Levi had his second PKU test done today and he screamed like I've never heard before. Poor baby! Other than that he was good. He weighs 10 pounds 12 ounces!!!My little babe isn't much of a baby any more. :) All is good though. I asked about the pa__sing out thing and the doctor said it's not normal but it's not abnormal. Kids under 3 can do that when scared or mad and I guess the brain does some weird thing which makes them stop breathing for a little bit. Some kids kind of have little seizure like episodes too. He said it won't hurt them and they grow out of it. Good to know! SOOOOO - guess what I get to do to night. My friend works for Key Arena and she got two free tickets to the George Michael concert!! I'm so excited!!! The last time he toured I was 17 and my dad wouldn't let me go and I never dreamed she'd get free tix!!! I thought for sure he'd sell out. So we're taking the guys and kids to dinner at the Spaghetti factory and then they guys will take the kids home and us girls will stay for the show. She works downtown obviously - and lives by me so it will work out perfectly. I need to shower now - got all yucky outside cleaning the truck and stuff. Anyways - I'll catch up with you later - I'm a__suming tomorrow is you next appointment??? Can't wait to see if anything is happening!!!

mjvdec01 - July 2

You will have fun tonight. Yesterday was a nightmare. I had gotten less than 4 hours of sleep and it made for a horrid day. By the time Jimmy got home at 10pm, I was sobbing on the couch. Anyway, I slept great lastnight and today has been good. Cynthia was here with Maddy today and I was able to run some errands alone. We just got back from the grocery store and I have to make dinner. My appointment is for 9am tomorrow. I will post when I get home. I have been on my ball a lot and I think maybe he has dropped some. I feel his little b___t only about three inches above my belly b___ton, and I feel more pressure too. I am hoping for anything other than 0 and 0% again. I will let you know. Have a great time.

mjvdec01 - July 3

Okay, Dr. Edstrom says I am 2cm, not dilated at all, but very soft and my plug is gone!! Just like with Madalyn I never saw it. Anyway, he said that he is very comfortable with an induction. He is going to call the hospital on the 14th to schedule me for the 17th!! I am so excited. I really think the exercise ball is working for me, and this weekend I am going to force myself to have s_x, as awful as it may be... I don't care. So, that is my news, how are you and little Levi doing, is Rachel adjusting well??

fefer1 - July 3

he -that's great news!Hopefully by then you will have dilated/effaced even more. :) Two more weeks to go!! You can do it!!! Rachel is driving me crazy today! She didn't get up till 10 -well, I think she was awake earlier than that but playing with her toys. I didn't get up till then either. Around 8 Levi was hungry so I fed him and bed and kind of dozed in and out till 10 - listening to the thunder and rain. It was going all night! It started when we got to the concert and made a great show for our drive home across the lake. It was pretty cool. The concert was great -but he didn't start till 8:45 and the tickets said 8. I was kind of annoyed by that. We didn't stay for the "encore" because it was already 11 and we didn't want to deal with the traffic getting out of Key Arena. We still didn't get home till midnight. Anyways -I have to go get dressed and go to the grocery store.
