my baby is due today woo hoo
for the past 4 days i have been losing loads of clear, yellow gelly stuff sorry tmi do you think this could be the mucus plug and i have been having loads of braxton hicks that are really unconfortable sometimes painfull they come about every 10 mins for a couple of hours then just stop does this sound like the baby might be coming soon

I'm not sure whether or not that's the mucous plug. I've had clear jelly stuff in the past few days, but I think it's just increased discharge. I'm only 35 wks so it's a little early for me. I remember with my first it was not clear at all, but really yellowish green with streaks of blood and pretty thick. The BH are promising, especially with your first. Once I started having periods of regularly every ten minutes with my first, I went into labour a couple of days later. With this one, that's been happening already for the past couple of weeks, so who knows. At least if it's your due date you know it can't be too long now!!

fizzypop- I think you are getting there soon! Erin is right about the mucous plug thing with your first...but I had the same thing when my BH started getting more consistant and a little more intense they moved into real labor shortly after! GOOD LUCK! How fun!

Well I'd love to say that I think the baby is on the way but I've been having the same stuff since about 29 weeks and I am 2 days overdue now. Blood tinged mucus is definitely a sign of close labor but otherwise it's normal to lose a lot of mucus but it regenerates up until labor. The BH also get normal and go away for a long time. Hopefully we'll both get to go soon!
