I agree about the name thing. If I ask your opinion, then I'm wanting an honest answer, but if you are just asking about the name I've chosen, don't chime in with your opinion. Even if you think it's terrible, tell me that you like it. The fact is, you can pretty much tell if people are being sincere when they tell you that they like the name. Even if I can tell they're lying, and they hate the name, I appreciate them trying to be polite and saying that it's cute.

I had my 34wk U/S today & am very excited to share that the placenta has moved well up out of the way, so I can go ahead with my natural birth plan, yeah. I was really scared at the thought of not having a choice but to have a c-section, so am quite ecstatic at the moment because now I don't have to. Bubs looked great, but squished lol. Poor thing still has 6wks to go in there all cramped like that. On the bright side the measurements indicated that s/he won't be a big baby, which will nice after birthing my 9lb 3oz ds. The only bad thing that happened during the U/S was the tech found a large black spot on my right side & had no idea what it was. She thought it might have been from my kidney but after checking both kidneys, said they were fine. She had to get another tech in to check it out & they decided that it is most likely a varicose artery (like a varicose vein but on the inside) caused by all the pressure from the baby. I wish they had figured it out sooner, because dh & I were starting to have a small freak out that something was seriously wrong (like cancer or something). Thank god it's not.

Well, I spent the evening at Labor and Delivery so they could monitor baby. I went for a non-stress test at the doctor's office today. They couldn't get a great reading, and the ones they did get, they didn't like. So, they sent me over to L& D to get better monitoring. I was there for a few hours, and they said everything looked fine. Also, while we were there, I thought I'd ask several questions so I didn't have to set up a tour later. I found out that I will only be allowed to have 2 people in the delivery. My mother-in-law is totally p__sed, and I just know she's going to take it out on me. I don't know what she expects me to do. My mom is not getting kicked out, that's for sure, and neither is my husband. Everyone who celebrates it, have a Happy Thanksgiving!

misscrotts - November 29

I hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving. I did, i really enjoyed being with the fam. We have been married for 3 years. As soon as we legally could get married, we did, and it has been pretty good. we both still have some maturing to do, that would avoid stupid fights but ya know. i lost my mucous plug this weekend, that was great....since i am not supposed to go to have my baby until jan.8. I have to get some errands run, but i wanted to check in on everyone. thanks for all the congrats!!!!

I'm ok. I've been getting a lot of contrations. I had them every four minutes for a half hour last night. They don't really hurt but my stomach gets all hard and it takes my breath away. I will be 35 weeks tomarrow. We are all getting so close to having our babies. I can't wait.

Well ladies - we're in the home stretch now...Dec has arrived! With Christmas etc Dec should fly by, then before we know it we'll be on our way to the hospital and having our babies - YAY! I think I'm going to pack my hospital bag this weekend(better to be prepared early lol) and set up my Christmas tree! Exciting times!

Morning girls! I had a doc's appt. yesterday, and everything is looking good. I am measuring 2 weeks (actually like 2.5) behind though...think that's ok? I do think Dec. will fly by with the holidays and everything. I can't wait to be holding my little baby! Mcbee -glad to hear that everything is ok. E - sounds like your u/s went well - that's great! My dh and I need to finish up the nursey, buy a crib mattress, and organize things this weekend. I also need to pack my bag...I'd rather be ready earlier rather than later too :) Well, take care!

babeedust2all - December 2

Hi Kimmer, I'm glad things went well at your appointment. If you continue to measure behind, the dr. will probably send you for an ultrasound to get more precise measurements (an u/s although not perfect is a better gauge for size than fundal height). Also, if you continue to measure behind but are still growing, they're less concerned than if you stop growing at all. When do you start going for your weekly appointments?

jeni23 - December 2

Hey ladys,my next appointment is tommarow, glad to see people still hoping on here even tho were getting so uncomfortable.Im gonna pack my bag when im 34 weeks,at my docs office you start going every week at 36 weeks on.Hope eveyone is doing well today.

mrsvalenti - December 2

I went to the doctor yesterday...she guessed my baby at 3 or 3 1/2 pounds(I'm 33 1/2 weeks). It kind of has me a little worried...I just hope she's healthy. Also, the doctor told me my pelvis is really small...so I have more than the usual chance for a c-section. :(

Kimmer23 - December 2

babee - thanks for the info. My doc said that 'm still in the range of normal, so she doesn't want to order an u/s yet. I wish I could just get one though to make me feel better. I have still been growing...last appointment at 31 weeks, I measured 30 cms., and now at my 33 weeks appt, I'm 31 cms...so, I"m growing just not as much. I also didn't gain any weight in these two weeks, so maybe he had a growth spurt and stopped for a week or two??? I go at 35 weeks again and then every week until the end. HOw are you? And, how is everyone else?

babeedust2all - December 2

Hey Kimmer, You're not measuring very far behind, so I'm sure it's fine. I've started going for weekly u/s to check on baby's growth because my d/s was born at 38.5 weeks weighing 5 lbs. 5 oz. (He was in the 5th-10th percentile). Since there were no baseline u/s for him other than the 20 week u/s, they didn't have anything to compare him to. It could have been that he'd always been in the 5th-10th percentile, or it could have been that he started falling off his curve. Anyway, if the baby weighs less than 5 lbs. 8 oz, then they send the placenta away to be a___lysed. His was fine, so they concluded he was just a small baby (he was long, just skinny). My dr. then decided that it would make sense to send me for multiple u/s this time around, so that they can keep track of the growth. It's funny, because at this stage the baby is so big that I can't tell what any part of the body is, whereas when it was smaller, you could make things out!!!

Home stretch ladies!!! I am really exited i am just about ready to go get this baby out lemme tell ya! i have four and a half weeks left until my c section, and i am gettin exited. i have been cleanin like an idiot lately, lol, cleaning doors, floors, walls, i mop 5 times a week and clean my shower 3 times a week. bathroom and kitchen get daily scrubdowns with either clorox or pine sol i have been freakin out lol, my husband calls me "lester the nester" becuase he thinks its cute that i can't stop cleanin lol. I am done christmas shoppin, i have been done since before thanksgiving. I am exited about christmas, my next appointment is on the 8th i have to talk to her then about my contractions and my loosing my plug, if i dont have to go every week after that i'll be surprised, i am going to be 34 weeks on thursday!!!! i am very exited about that, I had my bag packed when i was this far along with my first baby, but i will pack it probably when i hit 35 or 36 weeks, but i am not sure yet, it depends on how my next appointment goes, if she decides to make me go bedrest and whatnot i will go insane. i swear....i can't do that!!!!! alright I need to start figuring out what i am going to fix for supper, so i'll talk to you ladies later! hope everyone is doin well

Ladies I must be paranoid or just too d__n organised lol, cause I've had my bags ready since 30wks, crazy heh? Kimmer if your doctor isn't worried try not to be either. With ds I always measured 1-2wks behind right up until 39wks when I finally measured on time, & he ended up being 9lb 3oz. Not saying you'll have a big'n lol but you shouldn't be too worried about bubs being behind either. misscrotts I'm terrified of the idea of a c-section (been through too many operations as a kid), but how exciting to know the exact date you'll get to meet your baby. & as for the cleaning thing I can TOTALLY relate, it's been driving me crazy how sore I am at the end of the day from over doing it.

austynsmommy - December 3
