Miscott, when I go on my exercise ball, I rock my hips from side to side or do a full circle with my hips. I think it i supposed to help open up the pelvic area. I am sorry u cannot go to the bathroom. The baby could be putting alot of pressure on ur rectum, which can cause constipation. Do u have a prunes? They usually work well. Eating some extra fruit or fibre may help.

Hey girls. No labor here yet either. Last night my contractions were regular at 30 minutes apart...and then STOPPED!!! GRRR. lol My dr said that the ball can help to put the pressure on everything. I kind of think of it as being in the squat position but without your lets getting so tired as they do with squats. I bounce on it, rock on it...whatever is comfortable. I read that it's good to use as it supports the perineal area, but is allowing gravity and pressure from the bouncing to help things alongl.

Hey ladies. I see there aren't any new babies yet. Any signs of labor? Anyone have an induction scheduled? I am sleep deprived and really sore, but I am so in love with our baby boy. I don't want to put him down. I am so happy and I can't wait for the rest of you to feel the way I do with your babies.

Well...I have been up since 4:30am and have no idea why? I should be sleeping right now, but I just can't. I really want to vacc_m my house right now, but I do not think my husband would appreciate it at 5:50am. LoL MJ, I do not have any signs of labour as far as I know. I know the baby has dropped quite alot this week and I have been getting some cramping on and off. My b___sts have been leaking alot in the pat 48hrs. I will be induced by Aug 1st if the baby does not come soon. I am so happy for you and ur baby boy. I cannot wait to be just as in love with our new baby! Well...I am going to watch some TV and then hopefully get some more sleep. Hang in there ladies, we are almost done! :)

Mari26me, sounds like you got the nesting urge to me! My prenatal instructor (mother of 5!) said that was the only tell tale sign she had right before she went into labour with each of hers... Sounds like you are getting close girlfriend!

Mj...my induction is set up for Aug. 3. I am really hoping to go into labor on my own before then though. How long were all you girls using your b___s for each day? How long were you walking,etc? I have had regular contractions, but then they stop....frustrating! I've been having the increased nipple leakage too! Id ont' know if that's any indication of labor or not though, do you?

I used my ball every day for atleast an hour at a time. I tried to walk every day as well, atleast a mile, and keep in mind that you have to maintain a brisk pace to take full advantage. Hey, since you ladies are so close, have you thought about using your b___st pumps to help jumpstart things. It is just 15 minutes a day, you aren't supposed to go any longer than that.

I don't have my b___st pump yet, but my dr did mention nipple stimulation. I've got to get mine ordered. Actaully, I think you're the one that directed me to the site on the BF thread!! :) Thanks! Does the having s_x to induce thing only work for the effacement? I am figuring so since isn't that what the cervidil is for...just effacement? Since I'm 90% effaced, I'm not sure how much that would help. What do you guys think? The baby has been so busy the past couple days, and today she's moving around, but much less...maybe she's resting up???? :)

I you get a chance, read the "induction with 2nd " thread by preggosauce on this board. There are a couple of women there who are fixated on the fact that a lot of us were or will be induced. I couldn't help but respond. It really ticks me off when other women on these boards judge without knowing the woman or women they are talking about, or their situation. I wasn't mean with my response, just matter-of-fact.

Honey, don't let them get under your skin. It bugs me too when people judge, but unfortunately the world is full of short sighted judgemental people. We can't please everyone, just take comfort knowing in your heart that you are going to do what you (and God, if you are a believer) know is right for you -that is all that matters. And shortly you will have a BEAUTIFUL new life to celebrate out of it! It doesn't matter how it comes into this world, just how much love it is going to receive when it gets here! xoxo

I really try not to let it bother me. Maybe it is the hormones, but I couldn't keep my mouth shut. Anyway, are there any more babies yet? Nathan is doing well, just ga__sy after he eats, even when he has burped well. I know his tummy is bothering him. I have started giving him Little Tummys after feedings and I think it is helping. I was worried last night that it might be the beginings of colic, but I don't think so. Other than that he is beautiful and healty. Last wednesday I the photographer came to the house and took his newborn photos. They will be posted on the photographers website in about a week and a half. When that happens I will give out the website for those who want to take a look at our little man. I am such a proud mama.

Hey Ladies, how was the weekend for everyone f? My weekend was spent packing b/c we are moving in 8days!! Our house was delayed until september, but we sold this one for Aug. Now we have to live with my parents for 5 weeks. Oh well...I am sure things will work out. Any one get any other labour symptoms yet? I just feel alot more pressure, the baby feels super low. I have my Doctor's appt at 12:30 today, so I am curious to see if I have made any progress since last week. He is going to confirm a induction date for me as well. He does not want the baby to get too big and my blood pressure has spiked a bit. Oh ya, today is my due date too!!! I hope this baby comes soon. :) Hope u all are hanging in there!!!

Mari, I love moving into a new house. I don't like the packing part, but being in a new place is exciting. I am looking forward to hearing how your appointment goes. Maybe your OB will send you over for induction today?? I haven't heard that anyone else has gone in to labor, you may be the next one!!

Hey mj, I love moving into a new house too! The packing part does suck, but we are almost done! yay! We have hired movers for all the large items. I am so excited for my OB appt today, I just want to know my progress since last week. I better get going now, I will let u guys know how my apt went when I get back.

My appointment is tomorrow. Last night I had contractions 3.5-6.5 min apart and they kept on for several hours....we thought i might finally be in labor. I called the dr's MA and she said I seemed to happy to be in labor and not to worry about going itno the hospital unless they got stronger. They stopped a couple hours later. so frustrating!!

hey ladies, I had my appt at 12:30 and I am still only 1cm dilated, but the cervix is soft. So not really any progression from last week. My OB has scheduled me for an induction on Monday Aug 4th at 8am. He wanted it for Friday Aug1st, but the hospital was fully booked. Pepperperson, what did ur contractions feel like? Cramps or pressure? Just wondering so i will recognize them if and when I ever get contractions. That sucks they stopped, I would be so frustrated too.
