My exercise ball came with a pump and an ab workout for later. If you could find one with those things included it would probably be worth getting. I only paid $16.99 for mine at Fred Meyer. I got my baby to drop in less than a week. Remember, the lower the baby in your pelvis when it comes time to push, the less pushing you have to do (usually). Also, the ball is a lot easier on your legs. Anyway, I don't think I will be going this week. I have had a few contractions today, but nothing like last night. I am a bit bummed, but at the same time, my house is a wreck, and we needed today to finish the nursery. I am so happy with how it turned out. I used a transportation theme, cars, boats, planes and trains. My mom found me three old prints one of old cars, one of an old steam engine at the train station, and another of an old truck. Then my aunt gave me a really cool big old photo of an airplane, then I ordered a re-print photo of the Titanic. I had them all matted and framed. We found a crib set and it looks so great. I am still waiting on my nightstand, and a new crib side, because one of them isn't attaching quite right. We do still have to buy blinds and install the closet system, but that is it. How are your nurserys decorated? How are you ladies feeling today?

your nursery sounds so cute! Mine is a half nursery because it is sharing the same room with my office. I work from home and we only have 2 bedrooms right now until we move (maybe next year). There really isn't a theme, just lots of pink. I have cherry furniture (crib is a sleigh bed) and bedding is pink and brown. It's really cute I just would have loved to had a whole room to go crazy on and paint the walls, etc. I figure we can hold off on that until we buy a house when Ava is older and she'll appreciate it more. Well, I had a pretty uneventful night here...woke up a couple of times with more uncomfortable BH contractions, but they never got consistent or anything. Every day is pretty much the same now and I have the feeling that if not for induction she would never come. Anyways, it's been slow around here, just wondering where everyone is at!? ELENA, I'm betting you had your baby already? I'm so excited to hear the news and see pics!!! JULIA, where are you? I think Hillary doesn't have computer access on the weekends. Ok check in later!

Hey you guys! I had my baby, Evan Alexander was born at 9:18 a.m July 4th! I'm going to post my birth story on the main forum. I didn't get a chance to read anything, my b___bies are killing me and I'm so cold. STEF YOU ARE NEXT, lol.

ELENA - YEAH!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!! I know what you mean about sore b___bs - I finally have some relief but we are using a nipple shield for now it's working like a charm- it's not really a nipple shield it's a NUK nipple it's really narrow and cover the nipple great and I hardly have any discomfort at all. OH and girls I can finally lay on my side! So last night was great I was able to nurse Megan last night when she woke up (twice only) laying on my side it was awesome! CHARLI - don't worry your baby will be here soon and STEF Tuesday is just around the corner - well my mom leaves Tuesday but guess what ??? SHE MIGHT BE MOVING BACK SOONER RATHER THAN LATER!!! I am so excited - just things aren't working out in Alabama as they had hoped and maybe it's just not the plan after all for them to be there. I hope they come back before August then the boys can be homeschooled by my mom. JULIA _ how are you doing honey? Who else is left - maybe once we all have our babies we can head over to the infant care thread and take it from there. CEECEE - how is your sister??? How are you? ok girls - word of advice - make sure your babies have a good latch when b___stfeeding - if it hurts after 1 minute then take them off and try again. It's NOT SUPPOSED TO HURT just remember that - it may be uncomfortable until your nipple adjust but flat out pain is not normal....make sure you ask for help if you are huriting - we have a cool mommy and me clinic here that is where we see lactation consultants -and ask for you free manual pump before you are discharged from the hospital! Megan lost almost a pound when we left the hospital and now she is above her brith weight which I am stoked about since we had such issues with her latch at first. OK girls! Elena, congratulations! I love the name Evan. I can't wait to read your birth story. Stefkay, My daughters room was really pink too. It's hard not to do it that way, especially when if it is your first girl. It will be fun for you to decorate an entire room once you are able to move. Our daughter is two and a half and about 5 months ago we re decorated her room and got her a big girl bed. It was fun because she was able to tell me what she wanted in her room. She wanted b___terflies, so they are everywhere and she loves it. After we finished Nathaniels room yesterday she came in to see. We asked her is she liked it and she said, "no". Then she proceeded to tell us that she wanted various items moved to her room. I think she may be a bit jealous already. I guess we will see what happens. That is so exciting that you are being induced on tuesday. I am envious, I have 10 days from tomorrow, as long as they have room for me. My OB can't call to schedule until the 14th. If there isn't a bed I may have to wait a couple more days. I swear this kids head is between my legs. I hope this means that my labor will be shorter than last time. I was 11 and a half hours with our daughter and that includes the hour and a half of pushing. I want to be one of those women who pushes three times and the baby pops out! Wishful thinking I am sure. I hope you all are staying cool and comfy in the heat.

ELENA, CONGRATULATIONS!!! I knew it!!! :) Evan is an awesome name and I love Alexander as the middle name. We seriously considered both if we were going to have a boy. I only have a second to post before I run out with a girlfriend. Jessie and I went to dinner and a movie last night which was nice b/c who knows when we will do that again! I'm getting more and more nervous for Tuesday. I wish I'd go into labor before because I'm so afraid of having a bad induction. Well, best not worry about something that hasn't happened, huh? :) Well, I'm starving so I'll check back in later tonight.

Stefkay, don't stress about the induction. With my daughter I was only dilated to 1 and a half when they started the pitocin and everything went fine. I am sure you will do great.

Thanks mj, really it helps a lot to hear of a successful induction! Well, I'm still here today. I had lots of more painful contractions last night that woke me, but they never got really closer than 10 mins. apart and then would die off after a few only to come back an hour or so later. Now they are completely gone, lol! I was hoping to go today but I might as well finish getting things together here and whatnot. Seeing how everyone is hanging in there!

Congrats Elena!!!! How wonderful! A friend of my Husband who was due on the same day as me (13th) had her baby this past Saturday after 26 hours of labor. I'm being patient, but I'm ready. Stef, I can't believe you are so close to holding your little one. You'll be great! :)

Hi Constance! Yeah I know two women who were both due the 14th and have already had their babies! One had hers on June 21 and the other was like a week later. I don't think it's hit me that tomorrow is the big day. I am getting abit nervous though. I'm sure by tonight I'll be in all out panic mode, lol!..............I'm wondering if Julia and Hillary have gone and had their babies? I think they are both due tomorrow? I think I'm the only one on here so far who has gone past her due date! oh well...I'm all ready though. Packed for the hospital, house cleaned and I'm bored out of my mind!!!

Hi everyone.. sorry i haven't been on.. CONGRATS ELENA!!! My SIL had her baby on the 4th as well.. Well my induction date is for this wed. I have a doc appointment at 1pm today so we'll see what he says.. I have been gettin small pains but thats all nothing serious..

Morning ladies. My hands are so swollen this morning. It is going to hurt so bad to get my daughter dressed, that I am putting it off. I can only bend my fingers half way. stefkay, once you get to the hospital, and you meet your nurse, they really do have a way of putting you at ease and your nervousness will disipate. They will explain everything to you before they do it and you will have a chance to ask any questions you may have. If you are planning on getting an epidural, just make sure you know how far dilated you have to be to get it, so you can ask for one right away. It is a good idea if you want one to ask right away, so if there are other mommies ahead of you, you don't have to wait forever. Don't be afraid, you will do wonderfully. I can't wait to hear.

That is funny you mentioned the epi because I had to go to an anesthesia interview a while back and they give you a sheet that is like the "epidural ticket" or something and I swear I'm going to walk in waving that thing in the morning. Like first things first, ha ha! I will definitely let them know that I want it as soon as I can get it. Well, it's lunch time already so I've made it half a day, woohoo! The rest should go faster I hope because my mom will be here in a bit. I hope to run out and pick up the rest of the things I need to take with me.

OK so i came back from the Doc. i am about 3.5 very close to 4cm he says.. he ask if i was having contractions n i said no.. just pressure n pain so he said to walk around n maybe i'll dilate more.. but im always schedual for wed.. i feel excited but i've been trying my very best to be calm n relax..

Precious, that is great news. So wednesday huh? That is so exciting. I think I am going to be the last one. My induction isn't until the 17th, if I make it to then. Are you having a boy or a girl? We are having a boy this time. We chose the name Nathaniel James Venable. What name are you going with?
