KENDRA- so is the flooding where u live? how scary!!! OMG IM SO EXCITED!!!! ok for those of you that remember i was really sad months ago because i live in a very small apartment and it is a one bedroom. i didnt think i was going to have any kind of room for a crib..... WEEEELLLLL im stoked. i got my crib up today AND i got a crib set for 20 bucks at ross. so my dh and i just finished putting it together and next week im painting lylee's name on the wall...... i cant wait. im so excited, things are starting to come together. CHARLIE- there is no stupid question, yes you can contract for awhile before you delever, is this your first baby? usually it takes longer the first time as oppose to the second or more.

cors1wfe - June 12

Charli - yes KOLLEEN is right you can contract in even a regular pattern for a while and have it be nothing .....usually though once you can't talk through your contractions they are oing something and you should get checked out even if they just send you home.....KENDRA - yeah I have been wondering about you I hope you are safe where you live. KOLLEEN - my second didn't come any faster than my first ...LOL .....I still needed pitocin to keep labor progressing along so you just never know....ok girls it's 3am in Sunny California and I can't sleep.....arrggghhh here we go girls

Hey! Tina, hope you finally got some sleep. I'm up early today...6am but now feel like trying to go back to sleep. I suddenly developed allergies while pregnant (or they actually were there but got worse) so I can hardly breathe in the mornings and hate lying in bed like that. I'm so tired though already that I don't care. I wish today were Friday!!!! My mom is coming tomorrow and I can't wait...Oh! also I'm getting my carpets steam cleaned next Thurs. I put my bouncy chair together and things are movin along I guess. I'll be back in a bit...

I'm concerned because I haven't felt her move around that much since the day before yesterday. Anyone else notice decreased activity? It's making me nervous. I mean I feel her move, but it's not as strong and not as often.

stefkay - June 12

I am told that it is normal for the movement to change because they are getting to the size that they run out of room for kicks and punches. So, it is more like squirms and stuff. I also notice patterns of movement and then none for an hour or so. That is supposedly their sleeping cycle. Do you know how to do kick counts? drink some juice and lie down on the couch and start counting ANY movement (no just kicks) and you should get 10 in 2 hours. I aim for 10 in an hour, but my dr. said that 10 movements in 2 hours is fine.

STEF I think I finally fell back to sleep about 5am and now it's 7am but my dh came down at 6am to check on me since he claims he can't sleep once he realizes I am not in bed with him...LOL.....so my hips are killing me and my dh pointed out that I infact did get some new stretch marks around my belly b___ton I was like are you kidding me??? I can't believe I came all the way to 37 weeks to get new frigging stretch marks and hardly gained any weight 13 pounds total by the way....so sad but oh well he said babe you are having a baby...it's ok ...you are more beautiful each and every day....because you are bringing my beautiful daughter into the world - girls hes been so sweet to me lately I didn't do a friggin thing done yesterday and I told him sorry I didn't do much today he said that's ok you are making my baby....you need rest...I was like who are you?? jk he really is being sweet to me....CEECEE try doing a couple rounds of kick counts today ...so long as you feel her move regular it's ok that it's not the same as before they run out of room.......you eat or drink something go lay down on your left side and make sure you get at least 10 movements of any kind in an hour....

stefkay - June 12

Tina, I thought I posted this yesterday but maybe not...I have been putting this burt's bees' cream on my belly (called belly b___ter) after every shower and so far no stretch marks --I know I could still get some, but none on the belly. Then I turned and looked at my a__s. Big ol freakin stretch marks on my saddlebag area. yay. I never thought to put any lotion there! oh well....I showed Jessie and he goes "who's going to be looking at your a__s anyways???" I was like forget it....sigh, LOL!

Am I In Labor? You may start to experience "false labor." These contractions may be felt in various parts of your body including your back, lower abdomen and pelvis. True labor pains start at the top of your uterus and then spread like waves over the entire uterus, through your lower back and into the pelvis. Because your baby is engaged in your pelvis, your bladder is extremely compressed, making frequent bathroom trips a necessity.

stefkay - June 12

Oh, I copy/pasted that from this site...I was reading about week 37 or something and it said this so I thought it was good because we are all having a lot of questions now about labor.

Precious - June 12

Stef that is so helpful what site is that?? that what ive been wanting to know how it feels.. now i understand it a bit more.

cors1wfe - June 12

STEF - then I am backwards then and have been having real contractions because my contractions start at the top of my uterus and work there way down....crazy.......shows what I know girls! LOLOL......STEF - yeah men don't get it about stretch marks they mean well with their kinds words but it's still a bummer I completely relate to you I don't know about any of you but I am so addicted to baby story and find myself getting extremely p__sed when it's one I have seen before....I am going to go do some running around now before I lose my steam since I slept so awful - the walking around will do me good - these gift cards are burning a hole in my pocket! LOL ...I need some toiletries from Walmart and I am going to go to Target too.....I thought I might treat my boys to a fun movie or toy since they have been so patient with me.....ok girls I'll check in again later KENDRA - what's happening how far away r u from where to tornado was?

Precious - June 12

yesterday at the doctors i told him about this pulse feeling i get on my back.. and how it just hurts so badly .. and he said thats contractions.. but aren't contractions from the front?

luckymenm23 - June 12

So i am 36 weeks and 1 day. I went to the doctor today and baby is head down but havent fully dropped yet. she told me since im considered full term that i could have her anythime from now until my due date. She said just walk and have s_x to get the process going... i was all i think i will wait a few more weeks he he. I want to at least be like 38 or 39 weeks when i have her. But i was not dialated so thats ok with me. I still have a little less than 4 weeks anyways YAY.

cors1wfe - June 12

Not necessarily as soon as you have contractions 5 mins apart for a few hours then I'd say it's time....or at least time to go get checked. ok you guys I haven't griped about my mother in law for while - but she is driving me nuts!!! I knew I shouldn't have told her I was dilated or effaced she is all worried because my father is law is taking their ONE cell phone on a trip and she is going to be going to quiliting cla__s and she just wanted to check in ...I said it's ok I am not having contractions....no worries then she hinted that maybe we could add a phone to our cell phone plan and then give it to Tristan --ummm no because after I have the baby she isn't going to want to pay the 10 bucks a month and Tristan is 9 yrs old and not getting a cell phone anytime soon give me a break she is so stupid sometimes yeah right even if we give him a phone when he's 12 that's 360.00 over the 3 years that no one is going to be using it! ARRGGGHHH why doesn't she use her brain! they can afford to add a line to their plan but since it will cost them 30.00 a monthshe want us to do it? well boo hoo....how bad do you want a phone ...she wouldn't be the first person I called anyway - ok enough about that...LOLOL
