Hi kayleigh! Welcome :) Yeah it has been slow this weekend. I ended up being out more than I expected which was nice, but now I'm so so tired.....ready for bed already so I'll have to check back in the morning. Hope all you girls had a fabulous weekend!

Hi guys. Had kind of a busy weekend, felt soooo tired yesterday. I laid down with my almost 4yo while he was taking a nap on my bed, and I slept for 3 hours! Oh, bliss. Then last night I watched the end of "Father of the Bride" and cried imagining if I was having a daughter, how awesome it would be to see my DH someday walk her down the aisle & all that. I was blubbering, lol! Today DH starts his new position, and although he's excited about the challenge, (and super-happy about the benefits & salary), I can tell he's nervous about the hours and not being here for so much of the day. It's 4 ten-hour shifts a week, so he'll have 3 days off, which is great. But, he'll have to be in a little earlier every day for meetings and schedule time after shifts for paperwork in his postion as a supervisor, and that means more like 12 hours a day, so 3pm to 3 am is when he'll be there, including the 20 min commute, it's almost 13 hours. Long day, huh? Well, I guess we'll see how it goes and try and make the best of it. How was everyone's weekends? This week I go for my glucose test, and I'll have another cervical ultrasound next week. Hey, does anyone know offhand, when do we start seeing the ob every 2 weeks? Is it at 28 weeks or at 32 weeks?

April 11, 2008 28 week appointment and diabetes testing was today. so my appointment was at 315pm. i got there at 309 they sent me to the lab; i walked in got to pick my drink "LEMON LIME" for me of course. hehe. it was great i loved it. i gave the nurse my bottle she told me they would draw blood at 415pm. then they told me to go wait in the main lobby for my nurse to call me back to see me. well after sitting there for 42 minutes i finally got called back to my nurses room. they had my put my things in the room and had me come back to the scale. well i weighted 154lbs. so thats a total gain of 28lbs i believe. then went back to the room; they tested my urine. also did my blood pressure check. next they had me read over information on delivery about rips, tares or about having to get c section the things that can happen. blah blah boring stuff. then they had me read this sheet about VIDEO TAPING the birth. and it basically said: video taping is okay when ur not deliverying the child because a camera can take the doctor or nurses main focus off delivering, also made you sign a wavier saying you had to ask your doctor nurse for permission to photo or video them. it was werid. then the b___hy nurse from last time came and actually she was very very polite to me this time. told me blood pressure was great 100/60; but to try to watch my weightgain i let that slide in one ear and out the other. next she layed me back and measured me hes measuring at 31 weeks (reminder im 28). next heartbeat was 150 like usual and that was basically it. she told me to return to the lab lobby and wait to get my blood drawn. so i waited for 10 minutes got my blood drawn and they told me no call is good news but the call wouldnt be until monday midmorning if i did get one. so im not worried; i went and checked out my next appointment is may 9th at 830am.

Hey girls, I don't get my glucose test until next appt. April 25th...I'll be 30 weeks. I still feel like that is late, but what can i do,lol. I read the paperwork that came in my prenatal folder and it says that at my doctor's office we start being seen every 2 weeks at 28 weeks. I got the short end of the stick though because I saw her at 15 weeks, then couldn't get back in till 20 and again 5 weeks at 25 and AGAIN at 5 weeks for 30 (arrrghhhh)....I was supposed to be going every 4 weeks, but everytime I'd go to schedule they would be like "oh she's booked, we'll have to do it the next week". So when Isee her at 30 weeks on the 25th I do hope they actually get me in 2 weeks later and not 3 or 4, ya know? I'll throw a pregnant lady hissy fit if they do, I'm serious. I earned my 2 weeks appts, dammit!!! LOL ;)

Good Morning Ladies!! Welcome Kayleigh. Congratualtions on your pregnancy. I am Hillary i am due July 9th with a baby girl. This is my 3rd child. I have 2 other daughters 7 and 5. we are very excited i love my girls :) I will be 28 weeks in 2 days i am just so excited my weeks really seem to be going by for me. I cant wait to meet my baby Alyssa.. i have my next doctors appt next wednesday. I am not sure if its after that i go every 2 weeks or after my next appt then i will go every two weeks. Any one know??

Good Morning Ladies! How are you all feeling this Monday morning. I am actually full of energy, which is suprising. I woke up late but still had to get in the shower and give Jordan a bath before I took him to daycare. Welcome KAYLEIGHS, my name is Crystal and I am expecting my second on July 12th. It is a boy and we are naming him Ely Artimus. My other son is Jordan and he is just about 9 months. I know they are close, but it will be good for them once they are older. Welcome to the group... these are wonderful, caring ladies.

AMY....I think it depends on your OB - I don't think I'll be going every 2 weeks until I am 32 weeks then every week at 36 weeks but I dont' really remember so ......I had a 3 hour nap yesterday and it was great - I also ate waaaaay too much I go to the doctor in 2 days...I can't believe how fast these weeks are flying by.....I am having my garage sale on the 19th and going to be hitting them up soon so I can find my crib and changing table....hey skinny broads (STEF/KENDRA) even if your appts stretch out more it will be better for you emotionally cuz if you aren' t changing/dilating etc etc it's going to make you super antsy as your due date approaches! all is fine and they don't do anything differently anyway - same ol same ol - weigh in pee in the cup,,,,measure the belly ,,,,,maybe check you as you get to about 37 weeks....

Good morning ladies.. i came by last night but was too tired to write.. i had a beautiful weekend. I sang at church last night n believe me it wasnt easy i was just so excited to do it but Lia was up in my ribs n moving all around that it wasnt as easy as before but i accomplished it. things been pretty good just the whole rib thing.. but i can deal with it.LADIES.. I've been seen for the past month every 2 weeks since i was 24wks doc told me from now on ill be in every 2 weeks till 34 weeks then it will be every week..

Hey ladies...I saw that some of you were thinking about getting the 3D/4D ultrasounds. I went and got mine done at 23 weeks and it was so amazing! I also heard that your baby will look distorted or disfigured so I was really scared to get it done - of course I heard that after I had made the appointment but she looked beautiful!! The only time she looked different was when she made a really quick movement and she looked kind of skeletal, almost like a reagular 2D ultrasound. So she didnt look distorted or anything but I highly recommend it it was an awesome experience, made everything so much more real and exciting. With the package I got i got a 45 minute video of her, 125 pictures and a teddybear with her heartbeat recorded in it, it's really neat. Also, If you are wanting to find out the s_x and were unable to at your regular ultrasound or if the tech wasn't 100% sure - with the 3D ulrasound they can tell you 100%!

Good Morning everyone. well for me i start seeing my dr every two weeks starting this week. i also start meeting the other drs. which is fine by me. i go on wednesday to do the three hr glucose test. im really not looking forward to that. but atleast i dont have any tests at school that day. last time i drank that stuff it made me sick to my tummy. ok i have to vent. my dh takes this guy with him to work every morning. it seems that he gets here earlier and earlier every day. i dont like waking up and walking out of my bedroom to go to the bathroom and seeing his face. i ask my dh to please tell him to get here later. i dont know why the guy keeps coming. i know he has to go to work to but what if i wanted to be intimate with my dh before he goes to work (seeing as it is the only time possible these days). my dh says he will talk to him agian. well im to the point im about to say something my self. the guy laughs at me all the time. like everything is a d__n joke. it will stop when lylee comes cause this is my house and i dont like feeling like i cant come out of my room without changing and putting on a bra JUST TO PEE!!!! right? i should not have to. ok sorry just had to get that off my chest. so now i gotta get ready for school. after my dh left this morning i fell back asleep on the couch and slept longer then normal. so im running behind, ill check in later

KOLLEEN - I totally understand! My dh runs a small metal fab shop out of the converted barn on our property, but there is no bath/kitchen over there. So, he over the years has had a couple different employees & they all come over here to use the "facilities", get coffee, etc. Although he hasn't had anyone working in the shop with him in a few months, I remember what is was like. Nice guys and all, but it just felt like an intrusion and I never knew when it was going to happen. Since I'm a stay at home mommy & I'm here a lot, I always felt like I had to be dressed, the house & bath spotless, coffee always on, etc. Don't get me wrong, nice guys, always polite but not talkative, they would get in and get out, but it STILL felt like an intrusion. I hated that I couldn't just come downstairs in my ratty robe and messy hair to grab some coffee first to start my day. Plus, we only have one bathroom here and it's downstairs, so I would have to plan it all out, it was such a pain in the *ss, and my dh never understood why it bothered me. Could your dh pick this guy up instead of him coming over?
