Ok, if there is anyone else out there like me you're in your mid 20-weeks and just want to be 'considered' in the third trimester already! LOL, so if there are any ALREADY 3rd tri June Mama's or wanna-be-but-a-little-early-yet June Mama's out there, come chat here!! I am currently 24 weeks but I am justifying my jump from the 2nd tri to the third because my doctor is pushing very hard to induce me three weeks early due to the fact that she thinks my little one is gonna be big and being I am PUSHING HARD (no pun intended) for a va___al birth induction is prolly the route we're gonna go. So anyway if we treat my induction date of June 1-3 as my 'due date' then technically I am 27 weeks, right??? LOL... I know I'm nutz, but I still wanna be over here anyhow. ;) So anyway, all who like, please join!!!

Well depending on who you ask, I AM in the 3rd trimester. I'm 27 weeks as of yesterday but some people say it starts at 28. Everywhere I look I get a different answer. I'm due June 1st but I'll have a c-section no later than 38 weeks so I've been telling people who ask I'm due in May. My daughter's birthday is May 12th so they're only going to be a few days apart!

Well, I suppose I can jump over here now, but I have also heard the 3rd tri starts at 28wks. I am 27 wks on Tues (due date 4th Feb). No plans as of yet for an induction (keeping my fingers crossed!) as my first was a successful v____al birth. My list of complaints so far includes: leg cramps, heartburn, back ache & a pure hatred for sleeping on my sides. I am having another boy to add to the growing clan!

Hi kay101 and DDT! I have never heard of the third trimester starting at 28 weeks, only 25-27? My Dr. Says it starts at 27 but I am not convinced. LOL . . . I swear it should start at 24 weeks. I mean a TRI-mester is made up of three months (usually) and at 24 weeks you are finishing up your 6th month. Oh well, we can try and justify it all we want (or at least I can) and it doesn't really matter. The beans and bubs still grow the same and it doesn't make the time really truly go any faster. Kay that is awesome that your LO's are going to be close together. Makes planning b-days more simple! Do you know what you are having?? and just out of curiosity how come the scheduled c-section? Is it a repeat? DDT, did I understand you wrong... ? You said (due date 4th feb???) Or . . . I'm a bit confused. So like I said I am just 24 weeks, 27 LOL, if you pretend like I'm truly due in the beginning of June instead of the middle. I'm having a little girl, Samantha Marie, and my list of complaints.....um..... I have wicked acid reflux, very painful sciatic issues, and I am a bottomless pit when it comes to food BUT all her little movements and hiccups and just knowing what a miracle she is makes up for all that!! How long have you ladies been with your dh's/df's?? My husband and I have been together for going on 8 years and married for going on 2. Where do you live??? I am in Washington State, USA... (hicktown American..LOL) but originally from Los Angeles, California. Have you ladies done your glucose tolerance test yet??? I have to do it in 1.5 wks and it makes me nervous. :( Anyhoo, hope ya'll are having a wonderful Sunday, ttyl!

Hey - I think I'm 27 weeks now...can't quite keep track anymore! I'm due June 2 though. DDT - Feb 4th again???? :) haha...Hi again Krissy you can always join the june mommies group too. I have to take the glucose test this week -whenever I get around to it. It's no big deal, just drink that nasty sugar water. I think you know my story too - we've talked before. :) I hate sleeping on my sides too - end up on my back KIND of on my side. :) I lean a bit left or right. hah..

Hey Fefer, how are you doing?? How's life treating you? The glucose tolerance test itself doesn't bother me... its the results. LOL... The reason I haven't re-joined the June Mommy's thread is b/c well... I'd feel like an intruder. Once upon a time when I first got pregnant I posted a couple times but then situations arose where I didn't have a computer for a couple months so I lost touch and never got to know anyone very well. Its hard to catch up and fit in, when everyone has become so close. ;)

sorry...no I am due 4th June. My ds1 was born in Feb and I am continually referring to my due date as being Feb now. It seems like I just can't get the previous due date out of my head...haha!

I live in BC, Canada and have been with df for 7 years. We already have a son together who is 12 currently months old. The glucose testing isn't too much of a deal. I did it on Fri and all it involves is drinking a really fizzy soda like bottle within 5 mins. Waiting 1hr in the lobby (with a 12 month old this isn't fun BTW) and then getting your blood drawn. And I also have found it hard to keep up with the June Mommies thread...I joined later so also feel a little like an intruder. But it can't be helped and I appreciate coming onto this site regardless.

Ah we don't care, we add new people all the time and they just come and go. I've been with dh a total of 4 years married 1.......we always go by how long we've been together. It seems less important how long it's been on paper. I have an almost 4 year old daughter (not biologically hubby's but we've known eachother since high school and started dating since I was 5 months preggers with her......he's her dad and has been since before day 1) I was induced with her at 41 weeks and that ended with a c-section. That was going to be the original reason I had one but they found at my ultrasound my son has a knot in his cord so it's a lot more safe to deliver that way. I get to have NST's on Monday's and monthly ultrasounds because of it. It's stressful but as long as he's moving ok I know everything is nice and cozy in there. My doc hasn't mentioned anything about the glucose screening to me yet. Oh and I live in Michigan and it's freekin cold!

Hey Krissy and DDT - don't feel like intruders! Like Kay said, newcomers - and oldies come and go all the time. :) Come say hi! :) I think I'm getting my dh's flu - throat is killing me and I can hardly swallow/talk now. :( I just got over a cold that I got on Valentines day.

DDT, when will you get the results of your glucose test? What will happen if you have it? Has your dr. told you? Kay, it's so exciting that we are getting slowly closer and closer. That is awesome that you get monthly ultrasounds etc but I woulda freaked out if my baby had a knot in her umbilical chord. I'm such a worry wart. I also get ultrasounds regularly as well as more OB visits because I am overweight and although healthy my dr. likes to make sure there isn't any misconception of baby's growth just because I am measuring big. Have you all had a 3d u/s? They have done them each time I have an u/s and it is so awesome cuz I can see how my little girl is changing up close and personal. Fefer!! I am so sorry to hear you might be getting sick! Take care of yourself. Halls cough drops are safe to take for your throat. I was sick as a dog in my 3rd and 4th month and my dr. said as long as the only active ingredient is menthol (sp?) than they are fine. I hope you feel better. Aside from the discomforts of pregnancy it is NO FUN to be sick also!!

Hmmmm, not sure if I'm in the 3rd tri yet or not (I'm due June 3rd), but thought I'd pop over to say 'hi' to everyone:) All of you who are due in June should definitely join our June Mommies board!!! Some of us have been posting there since the beginning, but like Kay said, others just join whenever....we LOVE having new June Mommies to chat with, you definitely wouldn't be intruding on anything -the more, the merrier:)
DH and I have been together for 3 1/2 years, and married for almost 8 months. This will be our first baby and we're excited and petrified!
As for the glucose testing, I had the 1st test done yesterday and since my sugar levels were high, have to go back for a 2nd test on Friday -yuck. One of my pregger friends has gestational diabetes and she said that if you have it, you'll first meet with a nutritionist and if adjusting diet doesn't lower blood sugar levels than you may have to take insulin for the remainder of the pregnancy (she's taking insulin now). They'll also keep an eye on the baby's development since they absorb the extra sugar in your blood and can get big very quickly (my friend is due late April and the baby is almost 5 lbs right now!) Oh, and I'm in Nova Scotia Canada (DDT -I think we chatted on the 3d/4d ultrasound board.....our u/s is scheduled for Saturday and we'll find out the gender -finally!)

hey eastcoast - I think you would be in the third trimester. I'm due on June 2 and it puts me at 27 weeks yesterday I think. 27-28 weeks is the third tri -just depends on which site you look at, which book you read.

When I think TRI I divide 40 weeks by three and get 13.33 weeks so to me the third trimester starts at 26.66 weeks LOL I have my glucose test on Monday before my NST and they told me just to make sure I don't eat or drink anything really sugary that day.

Hey ladies, how is everyone doing??? Hope everyone is hanging in there. I am trying desperately hard to cope with this heartburn/acid reflux c___p and it isn't easy. It seems ANYTHING and EVERYTHING I eat gives me some level of indigestion and if I don't eat right away when I'm hungry I get super nauseous! What a toss up of fun sensations!! Oh and TMI but 2 nights ago, out of nowhere I noticed my bb's are leaking. Are anyone else's bb's leaking??? This morning they had leaked so much that there was a hardened coating over my nipple. I was like wth?!?! LOL... Anyhoo I think I will take everyone's advice and hop over to the june mommies thread just to re-introduce myself. Hope all is well and all the babies are treating their mommies good!

Mine don't leak but they have colostrum. HAHA I remember when I first noticed it I told everybody on the thread to squeeze their nipples because I wanted to know if I was the only one. I don't really have any tummy problems. Every once in a while I'll feel a little gorss and want a popsicle and that always makes me feel better.

LOL... Yep, even though I am leaking I randomly squeeze my nipples to see how much colostrum will come out. It fascinates me. I am not sure why. Sometimes its just little fluid bubbles and other times it like puddles in my nipple. Very odd. But a good sign I am a__suming! I joined the other thread. Seems like a wonderful bunch of girls... I have been trying to catch up. But being as the thread is still a bit short with not a bunch of posts, its difficult. :)
