anyone on here a fan of gilmore girls?

ohh, gotcha, i thought you mean like baby portraits. lol. did you guys sign up to get the american baby and the baby talk magazines? well i've been getting the american baby one and they always have a pic of someone and their bare belly and it makes me want to take a pic like that.

Lol thats ok I maybe should have been clearer lol I thought that was what you were referring to at first too lol ..I got lost lol I am definatly getting a portrait when the baby is born of me and my two girls that will be alot of fun! Yes I keep getting these magazines as well I have like 5 magazines laying around I havent read yet lol - I used to read them when I worked but being at home I rather watch TV

i hear you, i would rather watch t.v. too. i just read them when DH is watching something boring. does it seem like time is just flying now to you guys? i swear im just like wow we only have 8 more weeks and at the end of this week it'll be 7 more weeks.

It does but I am afraid it is going to slow way down towards the end!

so, i have to ask you how you do it to have such a great kid. i've seen you write that Chastidy is a good student and gets good grades, so im curious as to if you do anything special to help her be that responsible in school. Keily is gonna start kindergarten in sept, and i really want her to feel motivated to learn and so on.

great news gabby! As for hip pain- mine just fall asleep and get numb when I lay on either side for too long. Portraits - I had some done for my dd at about 9 weeks at BabiesRUs..they did a decent job and made Christmas cards out of them AND an ornament. Then a group did some portraits of kids in old fashioned clothes so I did that when she was 14 months old - other than that, it's been hard to get around to getting them done. I have seen portraits of just mom in all her pregnant beauty and they are pretty cool...I just don't feel beautiful enough to do it. :) My dd is being so cute. She has to sit IN my lap now - not next to me - very difficult to do with this gigantic belly. :) So..I happen to have caught ANOTHER cold. My dd got it from being over at my sisters - she was sick - and of course, when she wipes her snotty nose all over everything it's hard to not get sick. :(

Hmm thats a tough one ..I am what most people would consider 'hard' on her - Also I am single so I have nothing else really to distract me from being on top of her .. I think honestly the only thing I did that I think helped was make her responsible for her own work from day one - like if she filled out a sheet of homework and towards the end got sloppy I made her erase the whole page and do it over ..I make her take pride in what she hands in .. I also do not answer questions until after she has done it on her own - so I dont baby her through homework I tell her she was in cla__s all day and did it all day for her to try her best to figure it out and fill it all in then when she is done come show me and we go over it together and if she had it wrong I would have her explain her reasoning and then I would go over and explain it - Now like I said everyone tells me I am tough on the kid lol but she turns out to be more independant and responsible then their kids lol so I dont think I did all so bad. Of course when she does good I acknowledge it ...like when she would get it all right I would tell her how smart she is etc and praise isnt something I throw around so she really feels proud of herself and now that is older I give her mom and her days for getting all A's on her report card .. she can have one B though cause I dont want her to have all A's and one B and feel like that is not good enough when it SO is ! So my daughter really values undivided attention from me so when she does well for a report card I will take her to a nice restaurant and a movie etc and shut my phone off so it is just her and I . I mean .. she is also very respectful of me because of some things I instill in her so she really appreciates when we have nice days together ... I can be a bit of a drill seargent lol Like I know alot of moms who are more the nurturing type and I have always been more the 'suck it up' type .. I give her love and affection but I dont overdue it ... it is just who I am I am not very lovey dovey so she has tough skin and knows she never gets away with anything with me and would never want to be that kid that comes home and has to hand me a slip for poor behavior ... she knows better lol I think alot of it comes down to the respect thing she has alot of respect for me ... so when kids respect their parents I believe they are not so quick to act up in school or anything. I dont know if that answers what you asked me lol I can tend to rant on about this stuff haha I just know my friends daughter is the worst kid I ever seen and I thank God everyday my daughter isnt like that lol but she wouldnt be I guess cause I am her mom -- like my friend lets her daughter get up and walk around when she is doing homework and stuff ... like she will say ooo i have to go to the bathroom or Ooo I need water etc etc I told her I would never allow that - she would sit there until she peed herself cause once in a while I can see but every day during homework ..NO .. she wouldnt drink anything either .. you sit there until the homework is done .. or finish a page go potty and come back and finish up. But her mom does not instill the importance of homework or education to her and her mom practically does it for her - so she knows if she complains enough or takes too long her mom will do it ...disgusting! My friend has actually written the school letters saying 'my daughter doesnt understand this homework' .. I sit there with my mouth open in awe of that level of stupidity .. I told her I would never have the b___s to send a letter like that to school... she gives the kid excuses so that is what she gets for it .. but I guess the apple doesnt fall far from the tree cause she has a MILLION excuses why she dont work .. she will complain for hours about not being able to pay her bills etc etc but yet she cant hold a job for more then a month and I have seen this first hand for the last 4 years ... just a shame.

I had pics done of myself while I was preggers....I'm not gonna bare my whole belly though and have stretchmarks in the picture lol I had meant to get some done this time around but it looks like that may not happen. Maybe I can squeeze some in when I'm term. Hey marisol - did your daughter go to preschool? I wanna get mine enrolled so she can get used to the environment and have something to do. sorry you aren't feeling good again fefer! Kids have such good hygeine habits don't they? I actually remember telling my husband how thankful I am my daughter gets out of the tub to pee because most kids don't lol

Oh and ma one other thing .. I see some parents in my daughters cla__s used to give their kids money for good grades lol I would never do that - I try and tell her when she would do good.. that I am proud of her but she isnt doin it for me she is the one who will benefit off of it not me. I also have always treated her like a mini adult lol so I talk to her like I talk to another adult lol I dont give her baby excuses .. haha like I said i can go on and on about this .. you will find your way when she is in school I think most kids want to do well cause they want their parents to be proud of them and that is most times enough motivation.

Fefer I dont feel pretty enough for the pregnancy pic either lol .. my daughter says to me yesterday mom I dont think people know ur pregnant they probably just think you ate a big meal LOL i was like thanks kid ! hahha she thought that was a compliment somehow .. I dont know about all that lol ! my legs go numb too and then all day my hands and feet are hot haha even my dad said that the other day I gave him my hand to help him up from the chair and he goes wow your hands are hot hahaha

Kay i told you I have major belly envy .. If i had your belly I would get them pics too ! I mean .. I might do it but like not with my belly out ...with a shirt on or something lol Its so funny I showed my friend your my space pics and she even agreed - she was like OMG how awesome is her baby belly! now she wants to get pregnant more then ever haha U know I type too much .. seriously I am like a BIG part of why we need a new thread every other day ... this is what happens when I dont have anything else to do.. sorry guys :o(

Don't feel bad, I have nothing to do either, at least for another 4 weeks or so. I'm getting out and getting things accomplished, getting this house cleaned when they take me off my meds. I get bored and read other people's threads on here sometimes and it doesn't seem like most of them take home bedrest very serious. I haven't been anywhere but my dr. appointments and to fill prescriptions. I just sit on the couch or in bed all day. I tried sitting cross legged on the floor coloring with my daughter today and even that got too uncomfortable for me. Oh and believe me, I've got a good share of stretch marks, you just can't see them because that camera is so c___ppy and they aren't all red or purpley so they don't show up.

Oh and does anybody know what the thing is when people always talk about "oh the baby dropped" because I swear my belly looks lower today and like it's sticking out more. Probably just my imagination but I'm curious if there's anything behind that phrase.

lol well stretchmarks are just a part of it I told chas that I was proud of mine cause with them came her and I love her ! I would be like you though if they had me on bedrest I would be safe and stay inside too and do what the doc's told me. I am watching the newest episode of flavor of love right now ..woo hoo

Wait what? It's on now? I thought it came on at 9?
