hello girls...... welp i just got home for a super long night...... i don't know what happened but this baby has been giving me trouble. lol so last night i started having contractions again and they were like 5 min apart and they were pretty intense so i called my specialist and she told me to go directly to L&D... so that i did and they hooked me up to the nst thingy and i was still having contractions but they were coming at a rate of about 4 min apart.... so they gave me that terbutaline shot to stop them and they did an u/s and i am still dialated at 1 cm and my cervix is thinning and they did do the fetal fibronectin test and a few hours later it came back positive. my high risk doctor said that she would be taking over (over my reg ob) cuz of the complications and the fact that i lost a baby during the second tri in 2005. so that made me feel lots better. she did put me on 'house arrest' as she called it and the terbutaline pills to take every 4 hours ( i think) and that is about it. right now i'm watching juno and it is so d__n spunky. i lovee her. so kay did they give you the steroid shot to help develop your baby's lungs already? i was just wondering cuz my doc mentioned it to me and she said that she wouldn't give it to me unless i was showing definite signs of delivering within the next week. so i was just curious. its weird how some things are done differently like across the board... and dawn i am happy to hear that quazi isn't puking up anymore and maybe he can hold down some food tonight. yay!

disko- Sorry to hear you're going through all that. i think its your mil thats contributing to the contractions so that can be your excuse to keep her away from you. Oh no Dawn, poor Quazzi, do you think that maybe giving him the pill with nothing in his stomach could cause the vomiting?

Wow disko ...these babies want out huh! Yeah quaz puked again I am not sure if it was the brown foul smelling one or saliva this time though cause he did it out side so I have him inside now and I waited 2 hrs and just gave him a 1/2 cup of water so now I am waiting to see if he vomits again and if he does what color it is. His sides are all sunken in ...I cant stand to look at him that way marisol ..I just am trying my best to be decent to him like I would be to anyone in need - but I am being careful at the same point to make sure he knows not to take my kindness for a weakness. Verrryy touchy territory I am in right now! lol

Marisol that is what I was thinking but that was the vets orders so I did it - I once I see what he is vomiting I will have a better idea. He is in NO way ready for food... he wouldnt eat it anyway I am going to call and ask them about like someone said about pedialyte if that is ok for him and maybe give him that.

Oh disko my bedrest buddy, you sound just like me. One thing they probably didn't mention is since you've had kids it can be normal for your cervix to be more mushy. They said mine is still long, but soft, and 1cm. I think I like your high risk doctor better than the one that stuck you on the magnesium sulfate! Did the terbutaline make you all jittery? Just a warning, but my pills made me feel a little wierd the first few days, but then my body adjusted to them. Lots and lots of water for you missy!! And lots and lots of tv!! I pretty much just sit in bed or on the couch. I've been hanging in there since I was 28 weeks so you better too! You had an internal exam done yesterday to check your cervix right? They told me last time I went to to l&d the ffn test wouldn't be accurate if I'd had s_x or an internal exam done within the last 24 hours because it would more than likely produce a false positive. You might want to ask them to repeat the test on Monday because if you get a negative you're pretty much guaranteed 2 more weeks which will ease your mind. I did get the steroid shots. There aren't any side effects to them so it couldn't hurt to get them. Well, it does hurt a little haha just made me feel like I had a little cramp in my b___t for a few minutes. I feel better knowing I've had them.

Sorry he's still throwing up dawn....is he puking any less than he was? Ask about the dramamine, it's what my dog took so she would throw up in the car and you can just grab it at the drug store. Maybe it'll help with his nausea.

Dawn, what kind of pills did they give him? Were they anti-naussea pills, because they do have them for dogs. And I'll tell you right now I will drive Tank up there today if you want him, haha. He drives me absolutely insane because he's so big but still a puppy. He's actually under my chair right now and he's incessentantly licking my hardwood floors, like for no reason at all. He's retarted. Disko, I'm so sorry that you're going through all this. It sounds like you and Kay are in the same boat now. All this pre-term labor is making me wonder. I don't even think I'd know what to expect, or if I was even in labor, haha. Hopefully my little guy will stay in there until June, although today was 80 and I was pretty d__n uncomfortable. I'm baking a cake right now just for the hell of it, I felt like eating cake. Oh and when I went to the dentist this morning, she told me that I have periodontal disease, whatever that is. So now I have to go get a deep root cleaning next week and the week after. I really had no idea that my teeth were that gross. I feel like a sc_mbag. Ok well I'm gonna go ice my cake and eat it! I'm sure that's really good for my teeth, haha!

Just popping in to say hello! I've been following everyones posts, but I haven't had a moment to post myself! Work has been hectic! We got our new company catalogs and I've been mailing out tons and tons of letters and catalogs this whole week! Plus I just did a 500 piece mailign today. Whew! Just 20 more days of work! Yesssss! Dawn- It seems like Quzi just has some type of flu bug. Hopefully he continues to get better. A wet nose is definitely a good sign. Thats good news about Violet's daddy letting everyone know the truth...hopefully he doesn't take advantage of your kindness...Kay-I'd be so frustrated witht he hospital too...sheesh, you don't want to take continued risks with your litttle one. Can you go to a different hospital? Would that make it more complicated? Disko-oh wow- your little one wants to try and come sooner, huh? At least hes decided to wait this long, right? I really wish Dante would come early June..as long as he's healthy and ready...is that bad? I'm impatient..plus, I have a feeling since you girls are all having your babies earlier..and since I'm due like, at the end of June...I'll be the last one on here. Ohhhh WElll...at least I'll hold up the forum... lol..I really hope everything works out well for you and the babies, Kay and Disko! hey everyone - lots of talk about dogs and doctors. :) Kay, what kind of insurance are you on that you get such c___p at the hospitals? My sister is on the state insurance and hates it - it's taken her 6 months to get an approval to have an u/s and a scope to check her stomach. She's been sick for at least that long and they can't figure it out and make her wait and wait and wait to get approvals on anything. She hates it. I'm really lucky that my dh works for Boeing - their medical benefits are awesome! AllI have to pay to give birth is my $200 deductible and I have an awesome doctor - and the hospital food was really good! I had salmon for dinner before I left, a chicken pot pie - everything I had was yummy! Hopefully it wasn't just a lucky day and it's as good next time! I just spent the morning at Ikea with my dd and 4yr old niece and then went to Claim Jumper for fish and chips!!!!! SO GOOD! Now I want another smoothie - it was really good last night. I'm totally into fruit right now too - especially strawberries. They've been on sale so I'm chowing down on them! Yum! Dawn, glad your doggie is doing better - and hope it stays that way. Glad you "sperm donor" is stepping up. Good news! I took a tylenol PM last night and I slept really good! When I got up to pee I didn't have any trouble falling asleep again. I still woke up every hour or two to roll over but I was much quicker at falling asleep. I feel so much better today! I've been feeling so depressed lately - not majorly depressed - just tired of being fat and pregnant and uncomfortable and unable to do anything. Plus, I'm tired from the anemia. It's good to feel better today. It's amazing what a little sleep will do. Tonight we're watching Juno - can't wait! We watched I am Legend last week and I kept jumping. :) I liked it - it wasn't GREAT but it was entertaining. I love anything with Wil Smith. :) I also have Enchanted in my netflix que - it looks cute. :) Well, 34 weeks on Monday!!!!!

ps - gabby, your MIL story is hilarious. :) I shouldn't laugh, but it does sound sooo high school. haha.

Hello Hello! I ran out to the store to get the pedialyte I got the unflavored kind and gave him 1/2 cup he licked it and looked at me lol .. I was like uhoh hes onto me then he just drank it guess he figured ahh fuk it I',m thirsty lol ! Now he is laying down so I am hoping it stays in there! They gave him something called Flagyl or something I am not sure what it is - she was giving me so much info i lost that in my mind .. but Im not giving him it until he can hold down food. Right now I am concentrating on liquids. gabby if my house was bigger I would take tank right now!! i love rotties so much but then again i have a soft spot for all dogs - In this lil house I have room for one big dog and well my 4lb lil dog is like a guinea pig haha I think violet has hiccups again - she has it like every day at least once ! I went to home depot to get cones cause I am getting my cement done tomorrow and I dont want any of the idiots pulling up on my sidewalk and messing it up and then I got chas a bathing suit - she wanted a white one with rainbows and hearts cause i was describing it to her over the phone but her dad was in the background like 'is that going to be see thru when it gets wet!" hha I was like well the b___t has a rainbow on it with flowers and he goes what about the chest .. i was like ..well she doesnt have dark nipples! he said he didnt care he thought maybe a darker color would be better haha so I got this dark brown one ( i liked better anyway) and it has some pink beads on the string u tie around the neck and on the one side it has pink b___terflies. I think that is a nicer one cause white tends to make you look a lil thicker so brown is more flattering. I stopped at mc donalds and had a mc chicken with extra mayo -fries and a sweet tea and I got a oreo mcflurry I am SO stuffed right now!

Gabby do your gums bleed? mine do but they have been getting better since i started using the crest pro health night rinse. i haven't taken advantage of my insurance and i should. im gonna schedule a dentist appt. and go get my routine eye exam since im due back there.

Ma, YES! My gums are nonstop bleeding. Everytime I eat something hard, or brush my teeth. It's driving me crazy. When the dentist was cleaning my teeth today she kept telling me how they were bleeding so much. She was sc___ping my teeth with this hard pick thing and it hurt. I'm just glad that my insurance is covering all these deep cleaning things because I definitely can't afford it. I'm working on my stupid final exam right now and it's driving me insane.
