Hi Ladies, I am happy to finally be on the third trimester board, I thought this time would never come. My due date is May 5th, I am currently 27 weeks. I live in Los Angeles California and I am 28 years old. This is my first child and my Husbands seconds; I am having a GIRL (YES). I have to go shopping for my l/o, I brought a few bottles (Dr.Browns) and T-Shirts. I dont know what I am waitng for, but I am a lst minute person, so I guess thats why. I have been looking at baby Furniture, but I think I am going to wait until the March to make my move on buying furniture. ~~~~~Belly Rubs to All~~~~~~~~

Sterlin, I am shocked! I'm so sorry to hear this, its heartbreaking news. I can't believe you have to go through this after how far you've come. I'm just so sorry. Your little angel is in my thoughts. Do consider keeping photos of her and other mementos. I know sometimes hospitals can take photos and keepsakes for you, so even if it is hard to look at her or hold her now you can keep those things when you're ready to see them. And really, even if you don't think so now you may find those things conforting down the road. Definitely consider it. There are plenty of support groups here and on places like livejournal, and it can really help to share your story and get feedback from others. Just don't shut yourself away, honey. I'm thinking of you and your family and just want you to know that I really am so sorry for your loss.

My situation just seems to get wierder. I am now on crutches! I look like a freak, lol. My knee gave out last Saturday then Sunday I slipped and twisted it. The swelling just won't go down so we can't figure out what is wrong. But I may be having a C-section because it's hard to push or even be in stirups with my knee and they will wanna do surgery asap. I feel so clumsy, I blame the pregnancy lol.

Wow Sterlin, I am so sorry. Your family is in my prayers. I really don't know what else to say. Wow.

i'm a may mom! not quite in my third semester yet, i'm actually due may 30th. i'm pretty nervous but very excited. everyone keeps telling me horror stories about labor... is it really as bad as all the hype?

CgGirl - February 7

Lucky Diamond: My due date is May 8-9! and I'm having a girl too! amanda17: try not to listen to everything people tell you. The delivery itself may not be as fun as going to the movies or shopping (!) but experiences vary tremendously from one woman to another. My sister for example had 3 kids and didn't have any problem with any of the labor/deliveries... Ashley: I hope the swelling goes away!!

RMC - February 7

Amanda17 - labor is different for everyone. I, for instance, had a horrible time and would never want to go thru a regular labor and delivery again after having a c section. My first child I had a v____al delivery, my next 3 were c sections, and this one will be a repeat csection. Ashley - crutches while pregnant must be horrible! Lol .. poor thing.

Ashley sorry I can just picture a woman 9 months preggers and on crutches. that stinks! Well ladies I just got back from the docs and so far so good, we have another sono on the 20th to see how fast she is growing. They tried to do the doppler to hear her h/b but no luck. She didnt want anything to do with it. I was laying there and they were trying to find her and you can see my belly popping where she was kicking. these were not the lil playful ones but they were very forceful, she evn kicked where they were holding the thingy. that was funny. All you heard was wawawawathump. The lady asked me what they heck did I eat for lunch. I think they just made her mad. Yup I have a feeling she is going to be a stubborn red head just like me...oh lord help me now!!!! So how is everyone doing??? Jairia hows the bed rest going? I bet your watching lots of TV. Hey has anyone started looking into child birthing cla__ses yet? The doc said I need to go ahead and get signed up for them cause they tend to fill up fast around here. I was just wondering cause I know they have a bunch of different ones but I dont know what is what. Well ladies have a great rest of a Thursday!!!! TTYL!

Jairia - February 7

Bedrest is BORING, but I know it will be well worth it in the end. I feel so sorry for DH as he's been deprived and will continue to be for another 4 months if she comes on time. Today was somewhat crummy as I was laying around feeling sorry for myself. I got an email today from the long-term sub who is teaching my cla__s asking for a great deal of information (which I didn't have because it's all at school and I haven't focused on teaching in over 3 weeks). So I felt useless as I couldn't even provide info on my students. I'm over it now. I know this will all be worth it when she's here and healthy. I hope everyone else is doing okay. Keep praying for Sterlinberlin.

Jaira - I know you must be bored to death poor thing. I've been getting some pretty bad cramp like pains lately that my dr is attributing to my previa, but other than that, all is well. wv_red - honestly, I never thought breathing would work for me lol so I never took birthing cla__ses with my first, and then since the rest have been c sections, I didn't have to bother. I hope Sterlin is ok ):

Hi girls. I keep thinking about Sterlin. My heart hurts for her ): Well, I went to the Dr. today. I asked her about how big I was measuring and got a surprise...I'm measuring 28 weeks...I'm only 25 weeks and 4 days! She said it's still within the realm of normal but it's high. Great! I'm going to have a big baby. I'm 5 feet and pet_te (usually.) So I'm kind of freaked out. Plus when my husband was born he weighed 9 lbs! Aah! But anyway, she also mentioned that I've gained 25 lbs total which scared the c___p out of me too. So I'm definitely going to slow down on the eating! Not that I was eating bad or unhealthy, but I was just eating too much. It was a good wake up call for me though...both Dr and Myself want a 10 lb weight gain for the next 2 and a half months. Wish me luck! Oh, by the way, Wv_red, I'm on myspace too. Maybe we can find eachother? Belly rubs!

wv_red - February 8

Happy Friday ladies. Just wanted to pop in and say hi! My myspace thing is ckimble26 i think. I may need to check it but i am pretty sure that is it. I keep thinking about Sterlin, I hope she is doing okay concidering. well ladies have a great day!

sterlinberlin05 - February 8

Thank you ladies for all your thoughts and prayers. I delivered her wednesday at 3:03 and didn't even know she came out! It was weird but I guess it was better than it being a big ordeal. She was only 1lb 12oz. We have to bury her today with my husbands grandparents...but it's going to be alright and as time pa__ses I feel better. When she finally got here though it was determined that it was just her umbilical cord. she was so active and apparently twisted soo much that right where it connected to her it was just twisted up and kinked to the point that she couldn't get any oxygen or blood. So nothing anyone could prevent and the odds are about as good as getting struck by lightning so we don't really have to worry about it for next time so much. Just wanted to say thanks again and we're doing alright, the hardest is explainging it to my 3year old I think. He just doesn't really understand. I'll keep checking up with you girls and see how everyones doing. Ashley I couldn't imagine trying to keep my balance on crutches while pregnant that would be really odd.

sarahnicolesmom - February 8

Hi Sterlin -- wow, really don't know what to say, but that you and your family will be in my prayers and hope you can slowly move on -- remember that one of the best things created by God was one day after the other-- I'm sure with time your three year old will understand -- if you need to talk remember we are always here to listen -- good luck -- take very good care of yourself! Hugs..

Jairia - February 8

Sterlin, your strength is very inspirational. I will definitely continue to keep you and your family in my prayers. I pray that God will give you all peace and comfort as you begin your healing process.
