Hey Guys..I know I never really posted much before, but I was in the 2nd Tri board, and noticed the May mommies were nowhere in sight, I haven't been online in a long time..and then it hit me..OMG, 3rd Trimester..haha Woohoo! anyway, I found out that I am having a little girl..ahh tickled pink about it : )..I have a question though, I went for my glucose testing and my doctor told me I have to go for the second testing because my sugar was high :( , but it doesn't exactly mean I have gestational diebetes yet right?

That's so funny...I've heard so many mixed things about that syrup. My Sister-in-Law just did it the other day and she said it tasted good; like sunkist soda. I guess to each his own! I've heard more bad than good, unfortunately. Oh well, I'll just have to go and get it over with.

I'm back everyone. I am off the crutches. They were bruising my ribs and giving me terrible contractions. I am 29 weeks today but I'm aparently dialating but they didn't tell me how much. But the day I ditched the crutches something even worse happened. I slipped on some stairs and broke my tailbone. I went in and the baby's ok(thank God) and they barely looked at it at all. So at my appointment is was looked at a little more and they said it ws most likely broken. I have T3 w/Codeine for the pain but I try not to take it. When I bend over I can feel how swolen it is from the pressure it causes. But on Friday I started having contractions again, the only bad part is I now only feel them on my left side. I honestly don't think it would be as bad if it was all the way around. They think I pinched something with the broken tail bone. It's wierd and quite scary. They are saying I might go into laborand not know it at all unless my water would break. Jairia-I'm sorry about being stuck in the hospital. I will pray for you to make it to term or at least through the next week.

Ashley: OMG! I don't know what to say. Maybe if they didn't tell you how dilated you were it's because it wasn't much. When is your follow up appointment??? Take good care! Jaira: I hope all is well and that you check back with us soon!
As for the ladies inquiring about the GD drink... It was better than I thought it would. But it's after that I didn't feel all that good... the taste stays with you for a while. But that was it for me. And it helps when the beverage is cold.

Ashley, I'm so sorry that you're going through this. Hopefully you'll find some relief and the contractions will stop. I've had some off and on (2 today as a matter of fact), but they don't hurt and the doctors don't seem to be that concerned as they aren't frequent. I will have another ultrasound to a__sess where she is lying and how much cervix I have left tomorrow. I'll also get to drink "the stuff" for the gestational diabetes test tomorrow as well. I'm so excited that I'll actually have something to do in the hospital tomorrow (sad huh). DH is at home sick with the flu, bronchitis, and fever. So he can't come up here to see me. So I've told baby girl she better stay put because Daddy wants to be here. I think she'll listen.

I go back next Monday and I'm hoping that's why they didn't tell me. Yea the glucose stuff wasn't too bad. I had it done at 24 weeks. I was really sweet and if you drink it wrong it kinda hurts your throte and makes you caugh. I drank water with t to dull it down a bit. I'm scared because I have my RH shot Monday and I hate needles.

Ashley, you poor thing! I can't believe the luck you've been having lately! Take it easy, no more falls! I have had the RH shot before after my miscarriage. They do it in your hip/b___t area. The actual shot didn't hurt, but when they started injecting the stuff MAN it stung. My poor b___t was still sore a couple of days after, and BF forgot and pinched it! Just be prepared, but poor you, your b___t already hurts! JAIRIA, glad to hear that baby is still right where she needs to be! You need to keep taking it easy, as well. Are you at least entertained in the hospital? ---- As for me, I'm getting pretty excited. My baby is due in 100 days! Which means tomorrow I get the big freak out of seeing double digit numbers on the countdown! I can't believe we've almost reached the end. I have a baby shower this saturday which is pretty awesome. More people RSVP'd than I expected (but in a good way), so it seems like it'll be fun and I'm really excited.

pink07- the same thing is going on with my sister in law right now. I don't think it means you have it for sure, but it is a possibility since it was high. Hopefully the next one will come back low/normal. Ashley - goodness girl, I'm sorry about your tailbone. Just when you get rid of those darn crutches! Ouch. Heatherishopeful - yes ma'am, you guys are the next ones over!

Jaira, any news today? I hope your hubby gets better! Kathy: baby shower, woohoo! Lucky girl! Ashley: how are you feeling? I have a question: in the last few weeks I know that my l/o has been lying her head down cause whenever she has the hickups, I feel it very low. Could she mean she is already in a position that she will hopefully stay in until the end? I mean, I can feel her moving and all, but i know she is head first...

Hey Ladies-It's been a while. I've been so busy. My B-day was last Wednesday the 13th and V-Day was the 14th, so needless to say, I haven't been on in a while. I went in for the 3D/4D ultrasound on Friday and my little one is something else. He didn't want to be seen or bothered at all. His b___t was facing my stomach so the tech had to tap my stomach and move it with the ultrasound wand and he still wouldn't move. We got some pretty good pics, most of them were of him covering his right eye with his hand. It's so cool to look at though, a couple of the pics, we could tell that he opened his eye which was kind of creepy but still cool. I go in again on this Friday for the Glucose test and I am so dreading in. I'll also have to get the Rhogam shot too which I hate. Any way just bumping us back up to the top. Does anyone know their baby's weight yet? I keep forgetting to ask everytime I go in and I'm so curious to know.

I just picked up my glucose test results back and as fas as I understand everything looks good. this is the second time I've had that test done in this pregnancy and the syrup they gave me actually doesn't taste bad at all. It tastes like and orange soda, just a bit more sweet but nothing major. I still have to wait till the 25th for my appointment so I will know for sure if everything is okay with those results and if my placenta moved out of the way!! lol -- have a great week!

Oh yeah, are there any first time moms not taking cla__ses? The cla__ses offered at the hospital are too expensive and after considering it I'm a little on the fence. I know that they will probably benefit me in the long run, but I don't want to shell out the extra cash. Let me know your thoughts ladies.

Disaya: My sister had 3 kids and never took the cla__ses. She didn't want to spend the money on it, and basically did some reading on her own (about how to push and about pain management). Needless to say, everything went fine since she went on with 2 other kids after the first :-)

Well I had the glucose test done at 6:00 in the morning! Do they think that just because we're in the hospital that we actually enjoy being poked, prodded, and questioned at all hours of the night and wee morning? The drink was not bad just tasted like really sweet orange soda. The doctor on-call told me I was about 10 points higher than they would like to see, so I have to do the 3 hour test tomorrow. Great huh?

Hi ladies! How is everyone feeling? Chattykathy, my big family shower is this Saturday too! And more people rsvp'd for mine than I expected as well. I'm excited! Then I am having a small friend shower in March. It's funny: I've been obsessively checking my registry every day, seeing what has been purchased. It's fun! CgGirl, my l/o has been in the same position for what feels like months. His head is on my right side, feet on the left. Dr. just said that is how he has the most room to stay comfy. But I still think at this point they can shift if they want to. He always seems lower during the day and then at night when I lie down he moves higher. Disaya07, how cool. I can't wait to do the 4-D. I'm making the appointment today. I was going to try and wait until 30 weeks but I can't wait any longer! At my last appointment I asked the Dr how big my baby was and she just told me the size of my uterus. She said I was about 2 and a half weeks bigger than "average." Yikes. I hope I don't have a 9-pounder. I'm the size of a 12-year old! I am dreading going to the glucose test too. I go on Wednesday. There are several more things that I can think of that I'd rather be doing than drinking some weird syrup, sitting bored for an hour, then having a needle in my arm. Ugh. I hate needles. I am signed up for childbirth cla__s and we start March 5. Unfortunately, I have heard that they can be pretty boring. You can always shop around and find another cla__s that's cheaper, or get a book about it and do some research on your own. "What to Expect" has pretty good information about signs of labor, labor and delivery and post-partum. FYI, I read in that book that women who attend childbirth cla__ses have slightly shorter labors on average. So you might want to think about it!
