My body is silent. i feel like i can be pregnant for another ten years -NO not that i want to be, but i haven't been getting any BH's or menstrual cramps nothing. no back ache, but my hips hurt when i sleep at night. other than that, i can't believe we don't have any births yet. Other than Mely and Reneenay being induced soon. Hey Red, because we have the same due date i'm really comparing my symtoms to you now. i was having ligament pain for the last couple of weeks but thats gone now too. now my lower stomach feels wierd, lie i can feel the fat stretched into two portions, wierd i knwo i don't think i'm describing it properly but nothing surprises me or worries me anymore. i've been desensitized by my pg journey. ok so the race is, i'm starting some remedies today, someone said tumeric and milk......so i'm going to try that. can't believe i'm in my 39th week. feels so strange to finally be there.

No need to fear... Rachel is back! lol Sorry guys, I haven't been able to get on here that often. Update on me though: I'm due on May 27th. I had my 38 week appointment yesterday. I'm 2 cm, 25% effaced, and my doctor sweeped my membranes yesterday (it was a little uncomfortable). I've had a few cramps, lost my mucous plug thingee, and I've been having irregular contractions since I was like 36 weeks, so who knows whats next... lol I'm just waitin' to see... and enjoying these last days of pregnancy. Oh, and I've dropped because I have lost all my heartburn and feel great! ... minus the pelvic pressure. :)

Hi ladies! Well, tomorrow at 11:30 (if I don't get bumped up due to an emergency) I will have my baby boy! I can hardly believe it. I need tp pinch myself because it seems unreal. Red, I am more excited than nervous, which is good! And I slept really well last night, surprisingly. Tonight I might not be so lucky, but I hope so! I am pretty much as packed and ready as I can be, except for things that have to wait until tomorrow morning. Yikes, I guess if Mely12 can have a big baby then so can I! Maybe he will be an 8-pounder. Maybe this c-section thing won't be so bad! I am so glad I am going to have my little guy out tomorrow...I am uncomfortable, anxious, and sooo excited! I am bracing myself for the pain...I figure that holding my little guy will make it all worth it! And the drugs will help too I'm sure! MissP, it's good to hear from you. Congrats and welcome to the blue team! I'm so happy for you! RachelH, sounds like it won't be long for you either! I will check back in and let all of you know how the birth went in a few days! Wish me luck!

hi everyone! i just wanted to let you know that i had my beautiful baby samuel "sam" louis on may 9th at 5:25am. he came very quickly, and i had terrible back labor. i got an epidural at 5cm, and he came out about 3 hours later with his hand on his head. it was great, and i didnt feel any pain when he came out. he was 7lb 15oz, and 20.5 inches long. we've been home bonding since sunday!

hey ladies.... congrats to all the new mommy's.... i do have a question... im 37weeks and 5days....im dilated to a 5 and i believe she said 100% effaced and they baby was in -2/-1 station....im miserable...i havent gained much weight soo all the belly i have is him they said he weighed 6.9 friday and his lungs were great....i had my membrane sweep monday... (i didnt ask for it...nor would i have if i knwn how much it hurt)....but anyways my question is this.... s_x okay at this time? does it really help you into labor?

Rachel H - May 14

Hey amylove! Wow, it seems like you're almost there. I would say yeah, go for it, and have s_x. As long as your water hasn't broke then you should be fine. S_x is supposed to help you go into labor, and it seems like your body is ready. Good luck!

ChattyKathy - May 14

amy, you're at five cm? How have you not gone into labor already?! I say go for it, but if you just got your membranes swept it might not be too comfy! ---- Okay, ladies. I am back from my appointment and a haircut. My cervix is anterior, 50% effaced, but still only 1 cm dialated. I was anxious before but NOW I get to be even more anxious. My doctor is leaving in a week and a half! I'd really like to try to do this as naturally as possible. Not to mention, since it is my first it'd be nice to just let it happen instead of rushing it along, but I want my doctor to deliver the baby. Plus, it is tempting to get induced because then I'll be able to make sure BF is off of work, my parents have enough time to make the two hour drive, friends and other family can be notified of the big day... but I don't know. As of right now I'm leaning towards not... Well, not but trying to get things started as much as possible this week.

thanks ladies...still not sure if im going to try s_x dh and i havent done it but like twice the whole pregnancy....i would love for him to just make his appearance on his own but im telling you what its very uncomfortable working and walking around dilated to 5 and him being so low.... the dr said they would induce/ break my water if i wanted them to after im 38 weeks.... but idk if i want to do that..

ChattyKathy - May 14

AMY, I really don't think you'll be pregnant much longer. S_x may not help because that mostly helps with ripening the cervix. Yours is good to go. What you want is to start contractions because at this point, should you begin to go into labor you are dialated enough to be admitted into the hospital. YOU having an orgasm during s_x is more important to get things going in the uterus, so if you don't feel like having intercourse you could try it on your own. Nipple stimulation also is said to help with contractions. And some women drink Caster Oil, too, although with that you may want to give your doc a call and definitely read up on it before use.

Kate, congrats! Reneenay, can't wait to hear all about the new one!

ChattyKathy - May 15

Morning, ladies. Just an update after the sweep. My belly is SO achey. No contractions, it just feels sore and now my hips feel a lot of pressure on them, too. I pa__sed the mucus plug this morning, so I guess things are moving somewhat along. Unfortunately, major heartburn seems to have flaired up this past week. Its horrible and kept me up last night! But hopefully this means that it wont be too much longer to deal with that. I've pretty much decided not to opt for an induction, though. I'll wait it out, even if that means i have a june bug!

RMC - May 15

chatty- mucous pkug, yaaay! hopeully labor will follow soon. sorry you're so achy though. well, reneenay should be getting ready for her csection and mely should have her bundle already. hope you're soon to follow!

Hellow ladies just checking in. Lucky you ChattyKathy, my ob doesnt' even check let alone offer a membrane sweep. i wish i had gotten one yesterday. i'd do anything to not be pg anymore. ok so i've got a lot more heart burn than before. the last few weeks have been pretty bad, but yesterday and today it's been especially bad. does this mean anythign to anyone lol. oh dang, i'm so dumb, ChattyKathy i just read that you mentioned it. i've had it pretty bad for the last few weeks anyways, but yesterday and today it's been so awful, like i at cereal i can feel it burning my chest......i'm going to go google and see if there's anythign related to impending labor and heartburn.

Sims1 - May 15

I would actually think that heartburn would get better because the baby is dropping further and giving more room to the stomach but who knows....

ChattyKathy - May 15

lol well its good to know I'm not the only one! I really haven't had hearburn very much at all throughout this pregnancy but for some reason it seems HORRIBLE right now. There were a couple of times where I actually coughed up stomach acid. thats probably TMI, though.
