So ladies i have an update. i went to the dr's today and the last time i was there he had be do another blood test to test gd. and again he felt the results for the long term (i dont' know exactly what this means) but the long term blood sugar test was abnormal again, and this time he said with the baby being big and my gd, he wants to induce, and i jokingly said this friday and he thought about it and said yes this friday is good. he said he would normally wait a week but doesn't feel comfortable anymore with the sugar tests coming back the way they are....which he still hasn't fully explained to me what is so abnormal about them. either way for another reason i don't know why he sent me to the hospital today for a non-stress test. so i had one of those......so i'm looking forward to this even though i always said that i don't want to be induced.....plus he's absolutely 100% convinced that i'm going to end up with a c-section. we'll see.

SIMS, that sounds a bit premature. Why does he think you'll end up with a c-section? I say definitely try to get things moving this week so that your body will be ready for the induction. Hopefully it wont come to surgery! But other than that I say congratulations!!! By the end of the week you'll have a beautiful baby on your hands! --- So, I did quite a bit of cleaning today in preparation for the baby. Still just having irregular BH, but at least i can relax knowing that if he does come everything is in order!

Congrats to everyone who had their little ones! May is such a great month (my birthday is May 10th.. hehe)... anyway, I went to the hospital yesterday because I was having contractions like every 5 minutes, and they we're a little painful. But I kinda had this feeling that it wasn't the 'real thing' but coworkers were like, "No, you need to go.." (plus I got to leave work early) lol. Well, they we're very frequent and my blood pressure was a bit high, but they let me go home because (of course) the contractions started going away. But, oh well. I have my next appointment on the 28th (which is the day after my due date). I think I'm deinately going to ask to be induced. At the beginning of this pregnancy, I kinda had this feeling that I would go early, but now I think I might go late... maybe into June... bummer. Other than that, everything's good. Oh, and tomorrow's my last day at work! I'm in the military, and I told 'em I need to take leave!!!!! Plus, my mom's flying into town. Have a great rest of the week ladies!

Evening, May Mama's! RACHEL, bummer that they stopped. I'm crossing my fingers that I wont deliver in June, too. When your contractions were hurting, did it hurt in the lower belly, upper belly, or pretty much all over? I always hear that its one of those things that you "just know" when its happening, but no one can seem to give any sort of description of what its like! RENEE, I'd love some pics! okay, back from the appointment. 1cm, 75% effaced now, and she commented on the fact that the baby was so LOW. So hopefully thats good news! I got another membrane sweep (ouch, ouch!) so we'll see if that does anything this time. If not I think I'll ask the doc NOT to do it again, especially since she wont let me go past 41 weeks, its really not worth it! If I don't have him by next week I'd much rather pick out an induction date and be happy with it than to try another sweep.

Hey Chatty I was hoping that my ob would give me a membrane sweep first but he went straight for the induction. he keeps saying that he things i might have to resort to a c section becuase he feels the baby is too big for me. the nurse that did my non stress test felt around and said that it might be true. oh well at this point i just want him out and will commit to anything the dr's think is best. Rachel what do your contractions feel like? what does anyone's contractions feel like? Today i had sever menstrual cramps that hurt my lower back as well, but it would last like for five to ten mins like how my pms used to feel. are those contractions? i don't think so, but i don't know. i think those are waht makes the cervix dialate. lol i have no idea what to expect actually. but i guess i'll find out soon enough. Red how you hanging in there?

Sims you lucky girl!!!! I am so jealous!! Friday, good for you!! I really hope you dont have to get a c. I hope the induction goes good and I hope it goes smooth. Well ladies I go to my appointment today so hopefully it wont be the same c___ppy news. Hopefully the primrose oil and red leaf tea stuff worked and maybe get this show rollin. Rachel, I have an induction on the 2nd of June if she doesnt come before then so I maybe a June mommy too. Everyone jinxed me d__nit by saying she was coming early!!! Renn I cant wait to see pics! As soonas I get off here I am making a beeline for myspace, lol. Chatty,Rachel, not too much longer for any of us huh. Either they are coming on their own or they are taking em. that's what i keep saing too that everyone jinxed me. EVERYONE was saying he'll come early but nope he's sitting very very tight. i too hope that the gel is all i need to get things going. i don't think i want pitocin and i definately dont want the c section. but just happy to hvae things rolling. i think your lo will come before june 2. i really do.

Chatty, the second membrane sweep might work for you! They just did one on me at 38 weeks and it didn't put me in labor or anything, but I've heard it usually takes a couple of sweeps so that might bring labor on for you! I wish they would have done it again at my 39 week check but they didn't, and I didn't ask, so... bummer. Sims, good luck to you on Friday. Hope everything goes very well for you. The contractions feel like menstrual cramps. Some also give me shooting pains in my lower back too. Red, yeah- I think I was jinxed too! Everyone kept telling me this one would come early since it's my second, and I'm carrying him so low. Ugh!!! ;)

Hey all! I went to my 39 week appointment and still nothing going on, absolutely NADA!! So I have to go in again on the 26 to see if there has been any change if not and if I don't give birth before that, they will induce me on June 2nd!!!!!!!!!! My last day at work will be tomorrow so I'm REALLY looking forward to that ... I will keep you posted if there are any changes .. good luck to you all and congrats to all of you who have had your little bundles of joy!

Morning, ladies! Today I am sick (ugh! and so close to the due date!) so I am thinking about going to the doctor and hopefully getting a shot or something so that I can get to feeling better, soon. But I've read that some antibiotics used to treat respiratory infections aren't safe, and thats what I think I have, so I don't know! -- I was thinking about an induction date. Since my doc wont let me go past 41 weeks anyway and i'd really prefer him to be here in may, I am wondering if the doc wont let me have him the 29th. Thats actually pretty perfect timing because by the time I get out of the hospital it will be the weekend and BF can take his leave. The only bummer is that I really wanted to do this naturally, so I'm hoping something happens this week. Today I'm taking it easy but if I'm feeling better tonight we may do some walking.

Oh, I just got some great news! My doctor's going to induce me next Thursday (the 29th) if, of course, I don't go naturally by then. I asked him but didn't think he'd be up for it. I'll be 40 wks and 2 days and my mom's flying in to town to be there... but she can only stay until the 31st (because of her work) and I told my Dr that I didn't want her to fly out and not get to see him at all... and then he said yeah, sure! I think it helped since I am already like 2 cm and 25% effaced that he's like, "Yeah, I think you're ready." AHHH, this is such a relief of knowing their's light at the end of the tunnel. Chatty, I think you and I are so much alike (as far as the pregnancy's are going). That would be awesome if you could be induced on the 29th too! I think they would do it if you asked because we'd be (technically) over our due date. I know a lot of doc's like to wait til you're at least a week over, but I think it's worth asking. Tell your doc that you're really fatigued and you're back is hurting like crazy! I heard that might work. ;) Red, I soooo feel you! My hubby thinks I'm so crazy because I've been "wanting" it more here lately... I'm like, "YEAH, I want this baby out!" They know they like it! lol ;)

Oh, and today was my last day at work, thank God!!! I don't go back until July 21st! So this is a nice little break for me. I think I'm going to take a hot bath! ;)

Oh, and Chatty I really hope you get to feeling better real soon. It stinks because we're already miserable from being 9 months pregnant, that on top of that we get sick in other ways too. My allergies are acting so crazy, and I can't breathe out of my nose. It hasn't rained here (in California) in forever! I think all the dust and c___p is getting to me... ugh!

Hey ladies! I hope you all get to go as naturally as possible (or as you want) but if not, I'm glad you at least have an end in sight with your induction dates! Christian turned a month old yesterday ... how the time flies, he's already starting to fill out and change a bit ): Makes me sad because he's my last one.
