May Mommies Round 4

Mama Ashley - May 27

My due date is the 30th, and I wish I was in labor, too. Has anyone had really sharp pains down in the v____al area during their charliehorse contractions? That's what they feel like to me anyway. The Dr. says I'm 2cm dialated and 80-90% effaced. What the heck does that mean anyway? Well, that was a week ago. I have contractions constantly, but they do not have a pattern yet, and I am tired of looking at the clock to time them. I feel like they will never develop 5 min intervals. My luck, I will stop timing them and I will be in labor and not know it until serious second stage labor starts. I kind of like the attention of people calling to see if I had my baby yet. It is better than not having anyone call at all, right? Afterall, only 5% of babies are actually born on their due dates. I hope labor comes for all of us soon because I like the emerald birthstone , too. And, I am sooo tired of being preggers.

Ashley, I get that sometimes, usually if baby is in a particular position. The contraction makes him put pressure on my cervix and thats where the sharp pain comes from. I a__sume you know what dialation is, how open your cervix is. Effacement is how thick your cervix is. Your cervix will reach 100% when you have your baby, so you're making good progress! --- I've still had the painful contractions all day. There was a moment during the day when they took a break but when they came back it was a little bit worse. So, maybe its happening! Or at least I'm getting closer!

Hi Ladies, Ashley like Chatty said it looks like you are making good progress. Chatty I hope you get that lil warnign time to go tonight or the morning!! Oh God I hurt like really bad today guys. I am talking it hurts so bad I really want to cry and I tolerate pain well. My hips and everything that has to do with that area is in extreme pain. I can barely walk it hurts to move just the littlest bit. What is going on. The pain shoots down my legs and I just really want this over. Sorry I hate complaining about such a wonderful thing but I am miserable!! I dont see how the hell I am going to make it till next week! Thanks for letting me b___h. I hope y'all are feeling a ton better then I am :)

ChattyKathy - May 27

From what I read, back labor can feel like that, red, so maybe somethings going on for the both of us? I'm crossing my fingers! That'd be neat if our little ones had the same birthday!

wv_red - May 28

Chatty I wish something would happen :) But I am still here, barely slept last night and I am still hurting big time today. I am half tempted to call the doc and see if she cant up the induction date. lol. I cant do that. I wish I could. Well today is your big due date. I really hope I dont see you on today and you are at the hospital having your little boy. Rachel, Ashley how are you two doing? Rachel have fun with the MIL just remember you are pregnant, that is the perfect time to be snippy with anyone and get away with it, lol. ladies have a good day. Hope we start going soon!!!!

Mama Ashley - May 28

Well, I'm two days away from my due date now and I still feel the same as previous days. I do have a little more pain in my back, though. My contractions started very frequently around 11:30 last night...getting stronger, longer, and closer, but they quit at 12:15pm. Sooo disappointing. The only person getting on my nerves right now, is my mother-n-law. Everytime she sees me, she asks,"When are you going to have that baby?" Like I know. I just tell her, "When she is ready, she will make her entrance into this world. She's probably too comfortable being in my belly." It is normal for things to get on our nerves at this point. I must be getting close because I am very moody today (my hormone levels must be rising). Today, I plan on cleaning out my closet and setting up my ba__sinet next to my bed. Hopefully, working on my feet will trigger her to come today. If not, I go to the doctor tomorrow, so I will have to see what he says. Good luck all you moms and I wish you the best for you and your babies. It is hard not to be nervous about giving birth when it is your first time. I have to remind myself daily that it is a natural part of life.

Hey ladies! Wow everyone's approaching and pasting their due dates, that's crazy. I really hope everyone gets some relief and is holding their babies soon! Hang in there!

Rachel H - May 29

Hey everyone! So I had another appointment today, got my membranes stripped again.... and ouch, that hurt! I've been having contractions since then. I haven't really been timing them 'cuz I'm just tired. Plus, they're going to induce me tomorrow morning anyway at 6:00 am. They're going to use some kind of tablet, similar to cervadil... I can't remember the name he said it was though. He said it actually works a little better than cervadil (fingers crossed). Anyway, I think they want to see if that softens my cervix up enough to put me into labor on my own, and then he said, "We'll go from there." So...... hopefully, I will have this baby tomorrow!

Rachel H - May 29

Well, my water broke... so looks like we're going to the hospital before 6:00 am. Wish me luck! And, good luck to ya'll!

wv_red - May 29

Good luck Rachel!!!! That is awesome! yay! Is there anyone else left besides me??? :-(

wv_red - May 29

Ashley you still there?

Mama Ashley - May 29

I'm still here, and I'm still pregnant. My due date is tomorrow. I am scheduled to see the doctor today at 1:30pm. Hopefully he gives me good news like, "Your in labor, get to the hospital." That would be nice. My Mom hopes so as well because she is scheduled to work the graveyard shift all weekend. She wants to be able to skip that c___p, and she will if I go into labor. Oh boy, the pressure's on! She knows these things just happen when they happen, though. Yeah, I am afraid of saying something hurtful to my Mother-n-law because she is pretty mental already. I don't know about everyone else, but I cannot help feeling greedy with my baby at this point. What I mean is....I know everyone is going to want to see her and hold her, but I want dibs first, then my husband, and when we feel we are done, everyone else will get their chance (whenever that may be). I'm sure it won't work that way, though. Plus, everyone says you will be wanting to show her off. I just don't want everyone telling me what to do.....give me a chance to be a Mom, right? Yet, advice never hurts anyone sometime. I am just growing tired and anxious. I know after the new wears off with everyone, my baby and I will have our alone time. Plus, I plan on b___stfeeding. Congrats to Rachel. I hope all went well. Let's hope I will be lucky enough to only go two days past my date.

wv_red - May 29

Hey Ashley thats funny that you said you are being greedy with your baby. I was thinking about that this morning!! I think I would lose it if my MIL held my child before I did. None of my family is here, they all live in WV and unfortunatly I am stuck with my mIL being there. I already told my husband that I dont want any visitors the first week. I want to have my chance to establish a routine with b___stfeeding and everything before I have his mom coming in and trying to take my baby or telling me what to do. Yeah my MIL is a cryer. Any little thing and she cries so I have to watch what I say also. I am really not a mean person but enough was enough. Is your appointment tomorrow or is it today?? I have my last one tomorrow at 2:30 and I am seriously hoping for the same thing. I would love to hear okay you need to go ahead and go! We shall see. You can tell I am bored and ready, I am checking the computer like very day to see who is left. Congratulations to everyone on their babies. Ashley I will keep my fingers crossed for you too.

wv_red - May 29

Ashley, that is good news even though it is a c-section. You know your end is soon, lol. Tomorrow by 3 you will have your little girl in your arms, that is awesome. I hope you heal fast and I hope everything goes great for you. Good luck tomorrow. Congratulations!

RMC - May 29

red - hang in there! rachel - good luck! sims - congrats! sorry i'm so short but all 5 stayed home today lol.

reneenay - May 29

Ashley, I just had a c-section a 2 weeks ago and the actual surgery is a breeze. You will want to be awake for it, trust me. Don't even worry about it! I was nervous before and there is no need to be. Yes, you will be in pain afterwards but they give you meds that help a lot. And you won't have to take care of the incision. You just let it be for 2 weeks until your next Dr. appointment and they take the tape off. So good luck and I wish you all the best. I hope this helps. RMC, I don't know how you do it. I feel like my hands are full with one! Red and Chatty, any time now! Can't wait!
