For some weird reason, I have felt almost like I'm getting my period for the last three days or so. Does anybody know what it means? Right now I'm two days shy of 35 weeks, but have the exact same symptoms that you get when you're about to have a really bad period. I've been extremely moody, have not exactly menstral cramps, but like a sort of mild crampy feeling...you know, kind of like a heavy feeling in the lower abdomine. I don't think it could be contractions, but could that be my first clue that they're going to start? It's pretty hard to judge because I guess everybody is different, but if anybody has experienced something similar and would like to share, that would be great! Thanks.

It could be an achy feeling because baby is getting lower or if it really does feel like menstrual cramps, could be contractions. A lady that frequented these boards had menstrual-like cramps, went to the doc, and come to find out she was contracting and didn't realize it.

i was having them at 34 weeks, and now i just started my 37th week and i swear they are stronger and more often. i do think they might be contractions....i was having a lot yesterday, but then none today. one thing that i have noticed is that they have become a lot stronger than what i felt at 34 weeks...

btw i have read that some women feel labor contractions feel like cramps.....

Thanks guys for your answers...Sims1, I'm glad to know that you've had them for awhile, and haven't gone into labor! I'm so scared that that will happen, and it gave me a lot of rea__surance. ChattyKathy, you're probably right...the baby probably is just getting lower. I might call my doc soon if it doesn't stop...it's just so weird! I feel every time I go to the bathroom I'll see blood it feels so menstral like!

In my childbirth cla__s the book says that menstrual like cramps are a sign of impending labor...maybe at least let your doctor know about them?
