I dont think I lost mine until my water broke. my water broke in the tub, and lets just say there was more than just fluid! Good luck all.

I lost my mucous plug 2 weeks before delivering my first daughter. It was a lot of discharge with a hint of pink in some areas. This time however I'm at 8.5 weeks and have had a lot of discharge and am already dialated to 3 cm but none has been tinged with pink...so I don't know??

I lost mine 3 days before going into labor, and it did not all come out at once...it came out over the 3 days.

I lost my mucus plug at 37w2d (last night) after cervical exam by the nurse yesterday morning- dilated 3cm and 50% effaced. This is my 2nd pregnancy. With my 1st pregnancy, I lost my plug around the same time; that baby was born at 38w2d. When I went into labor the first time, the baby was posterior and delivered sunny side up / facing upward (27 hour labor), I was at 1cm dilation for 19 hours with 2-3 minute contractions the entire time. THE MUCUS PLUG LOOKS LIKE A SEMI-HARD GLOB OF BOOGERS - similar to if you had a sinus infection and pulled out a semi-hardened glob of mucus - about a dime in size and thickness.

I started losing it when I was 38.6 weeks at 5:00am. My water broke at 10:30am and my ds was delivered via emergency c-section the next morning at 2:54am.

Well, I'm 29 weeks with this pregnancy and lost mine at 20 weeks (it's now regenerated itself) and with my last pregnancy I lost it at 24 weeks and didn't notice if I did again, but I delivered at 36.5 weeks, so it meant nothing for me then, and doesn't now as I'm not dialated at all.

After a scheduled C-section- I lost mine about 7-8 months AFTER the fact. I had posted a question at the time and many replied that they too hadn't remembered losing it. My doctor said that this is sometimes the case. Now, i am 37.5 weeks and waiting for it to happen naturally....

I'm 38 weeks and 5 days. My dr. did a membrane sweep yesterday. For the first day (right after the sweep) i lost my mucus plug in a bloody form. This is followed by menstral like cramps continuing to today. All day today has been a big snot-like mess of mucus... oh the joys of pregnancy!!!! Now i'm just waitin on labor!

HELP! Erin's Mom (or anyone else with a similar experience - I am just going on 24 weeks pregnant and think I may have lost my MP last night. It was about a tablespoon of clear slime quite heavily streaked with a darkish red/brown (blood) colour. I've had no real pains - none that I can distinguish from normal stretching etc - and there's ben absolutely no more blood or leaking of fluid. I spoke to the gynae on call today (Saturday) but all he wants to do is an internal examination. I'm petrified of going ahead with as I know people who have subsequently lost pregnancies / gone into labour after an internal. As this is my first pregnancy to go this far (lost my first baby at 7 weeks two years ago) I have no idea what to expect. The doctor doesn't sound too worreid and has advised I watch for bleeding, fluid loss and contractions if I don't wantt o be examined. I just want to know from anyone who may also have lost their MP this early on if my baby is going to be ok?
