Okay - can the mucus plug just look like a big ball of snot??!! Sorry!! I'm now 38 weeks and yesterday morning there was a big glob of snot type stuff....there was no blood or anything so I guess it's not the 'bloody show'.
Since then (sorry again) but there's been smaller amounts of snot like discharge when I wipe...is this the mucus plug and does it mean anything??

It could be. I'm 30 weeks and in the hospital. I had a huge glob the other day. I spoke with my doctor about it and explained to him that sometimes when I wipe there's a small amount. He said it could be part of the plug, but that's okay. A friend said she had the same thing happen, it was part of her plug, but she didn't go into labor for another 5 weeks. Now I don't wish 5 weeks on you, but you could still have a week or two to go. Good luck!

Hi Lala.......i have been loosing bits and pieces of the plug for a month now.....i have spoken to my specialist and he said that as long as your water doesn't break you're ok.......he said you can loose your plug up to weeks before baby is due and still be ok......Just if you loose your water is where you should be concerned.......every time i exert myself to much i start loosing parts of the plug....no blood or anything just snot like things.......and that is the best way to describe it........lol i am 36 weeks and have been on bed rest since 32 because my dd wanted to come early......i wouldn't be concerned......just if you know it is water leakin then i'd be.....My Dr. said you'll know if you leak water.......or water breaks.......Good Luck!!!!!!!
