Hi ladies - i am totally with you on the uncomfortable, i cant believe ive got about 10weeks of this to go feeling. I didnt expect it to be this frustrating either! I man i cant even see my feet never mind b able to paint my toenails. Its hard enough to shave my legs. Ladies i went to the midwife today and my bump is measuring about 35cm, so she did it twice just to be sure as im 29weeks 4days and she couldnt believe it. Especially as its my first full term pregnancy. I asked her why its so large and she just shrugged. Really, i dont have any confidence in my midwife!! Anyway, an update on the weight thing, ive put on about 14 pounds, and most of that since 20weeks cos before then i stayed the same. Im happy its not more, but as i was big to start with its not really good. Im supposed to be aiming for 15-25 total gain and im already approaching my limit with 10 and a bit weeks to go!! I too am craving sugar and junk food! I just want cheese crisps and chocolate. All the fattening stuff. Im so scared im going to be a huge blob after and dh wont like me any more. Anyway thats enough on me. Patience, im glad youre hanging in there and i know what you mean, i would love to be able to think about painting the nursery but my lifes way too complex. Our littlun will b sleeping in with us, as we are staying with my parents at the moment until we get sorted with work and somewhere to live. Having just returned home to th UK after being in the Caribbean for 2 years, its not an easy time here either! I feel for you with how your feeling about your dh though and it cant b easy. Keep strong and stay positive, your little baby will b with you soon and maybe afterwards youll feel more like making some decisions. Ej, saird, catsmommy and everyone, glad your all ok and chiming in regular!! Its nice to have this little support group isnt it. One of my best friends is also due in oct so i have a real life oct moms club aswell!! x x

Miss P- I am so happy to hear you are still with us! :) Can you get a second opinion? How does it work with a midwife- do you see her and a doc just interchanged? All I can keep thinking about is Mari's d__n apple crisp your neighbor has been making- I want some now! :) Send it up to MN! :) Oh and shaving- HAHAHAHAHAHA I remember at the end of my last pregnancy- I would only shave for my DR! Aaron- my husband would be like "Um do I need to worry that you are more concerned about what the doctor thinks about how you are groomed "down there" than me?" I was like "Oh of course not honey- he is the only one that will be seeing that area anytime soon!" hahahahahah So this time around he doesn't even talk about it...I am such a hairy monster and my belly isnt' even that big yet! Ha!

All I can think about is going to Dairy Queen to get a pecan mudslide (Ice cream, hot fudge, hot carmel and pecans) HELP ME....THESE THOUGHTS ARE CONSUMING MY EVERY SECOND!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey girls, having a good day today. It is like for every week of good days I have, I have one really bad day and it is so hard but DH is doing everything he needs to to get in my good graces again. We talk A LOT on the bad days which is very helpful. Anyways, we went out and bought cloth diapers today and he surprised me with a half day spa package for my b-day next month. I get a special preggo mommy ma__sage, mani, pedi, facial, haircut and lunch and he is going to watch DS while Im doing that so Im very excited. Cant believe only 10 weeks left. Im glad Im not the only one into junk food! Im really trying to behave myself though with the eating but I have still gained 30 lbs so far and midwife only wanted me to gain 15!

JNFR614 - July 23

Yay, Patience is with me! I'm not the only one that hit the 30lb. mark! I feel like such a lazy fat lady today- I got the broom, swiffer wet jet, & vaccuum all out & never did any cleaning- they are all still sitting out where I left them. I laid in bed all day! Oh, well- tomorrow is another day right? Liz- I think I hear dairy queen is calling my name, ahaha.

Come to MN and clean my house next Jen!!!! :) Patience that is so wonderful- you enjoy every second!!! You will make it through this. You two sound like you have a very strong relationship and no matter what happens just know that you have us to at least talk to and not have ANY judgement pa__sed on you!!

CatsMommy - July 24

Jen - if it makes you feel any better, I had this sudden urge to wash my floors last night, LOL. Strangely enough, I ended up washing them! That's usually a Saturday morning task - don't know what's come over me. MissP - you seem to be doing great. I have this feeling you're going to make it a lot futher along than you thought... or that your Docs thought! Just keep your legs closed so he doesn't come out, LOL.. That goes for you too Liz : )

CatsMommy - July 24

Oh yeah... I'm up to about 3-4 Hot Fudge Sundaes from McDonalds a week! Pretty good considering I ate 2 a day with my first pregnancy! Thank goodness there is a Mickey D's on every corner... I try to hit a different one every other day so they don't think I'm too much of a piggy!!

ejmeskan - July 24

Legs closed captain! :) No worries here- I am pretty convinced I am going to 42 weeks! :)

Saird - July 24

Seriously what is up with the junk food thing? DH went uptown for like 12 min's tops yesterday and he gets back and sees this bowl of chocolate goo in the sink and says "what's that?" I stood in front of the oven and said nothing, but he pushed me aside and saw the pan of brownies and shook his head laughing at how little time it took me to whip them up! He had to go to work then and I told him I'd eat half the pan last night and it was true! Eeks.

ejmeskan - July 24

Hahah- Saird that is so funny!!!!! Well I am proud to say I had a cream filled doughnut, an entire back of licorice AND a Big Mac with Fries today! It is over- I am officially OFF the wagon!

britt_m - July 24

Hi ladies I'm still following along not really saying much tho. I read the junk food and had to comment. I'm so into smores!!! I usually have two when the other littles nap, hehe! Oh but they just hit the spot, Mmmm! I was thinking of pa__sing on the glucose test, I mean we have no problems in our families with sugar or gest diab. I've gained 8 lbs so far and am over 27 weeks so I don't think the baby is huge as I look maybe 3 months. I do love my junk food but definately don't overdue it. I usually have my smores 3-4 times a week. Todays snack is corn muffins, lol. Its also a little inconvenient as I have to go all the way to the docs between appts just to drink the stuff and wait. It was too early last Friday and it'll be late in 6 weeks when I go for my next one. What are your opinions on not doing it, I mean I seen a pract_tioner for my appt (she was pretty rude too) rather than my normal midwives so I haven't spoke with them about it but do plan on calling first.

MissP - July 24

All i can say is that today i ate a whole cadbury fruit and nut bar and im not talking the snack size, i mean like a big one. And i just want crisps. Thats chips to you US ladies. And im craving cheese toasties. mmmmmm x x x x

Saird - July 24

Britt, I guess doing it is a personal choice. I just did the 1hr one yesterday, because both of my other two babies were over 9lbs. I guess if it is positive you can go on a strict diet (ick) to try to make sure the baby isn't too large or know if you are apt to get diabetes when you are older. If it's negative it's peice of mind I guess. Good luck deciding.

CatsMommy - July 24

Oh... I can't tell you how much better I feel the rest of you ladies all have the junk food cravings : ) We're pregnant... we may as well embrace the way we look and the fact this is our only chance to indulge! On that note, I will celebrate with a Sundae from Mickey D's!! Hmm... that big mac sounds good too, Liz - i haven't had one of those in a while! Britt - just to be on the safe side, I would go ahead and have the test done. It's only 1 hour and this way you're sure everything is a-ok! They actually lost my first glucose test I took 3 weeks ago and I had to take another one yesterday - ugh!! That was a pain! But just to be sure, I would go ahead and do it. Your choice, however.

joey - July 24

HI GIRLS! I am so excited to be back...remember me?? I started this thred way back when in our firstg trmester...so sorry I haven't been around for about 2 months now. We moved house and has to get a new internet connection- blah blah blah- things have been so busy and now i can check in with you all again. I have read as many posts as i can- there have been sooo many since my last one. Well I've got about 9.5 weeks to go now...it's going to go so fast when you get into those single digits. Miss P and Saird...wow i feel guilty for feeling sorry for myself lately with everything you two are going through, it really put things in perspective. How are you both? Seems things are a bit better Miss P...and your husband Saird? Well I am also a whale and can not stop eating..not good. I pa__sed my glucose test though which is good :-) Hey well I am having a little girl and was wondering (honest opinions here please otherwise I wouldn't ask) but what do you think of the name Antonia? x x x
