Pregnancy Info HOME

So...I need a little advice...I have had about 4 ultrasounds between the 17th and 32nd week of the pregnancy and they all say I should be due on the 10th of October...however, my DH and I only tried one time, and I am positive of the the conception date and my midwives are going by 10/15/08...what do you think I shold be going by? If I go by the 10th...then I have 15 days to go...if I o by the midwives, I have 20 days...I never though 5 days would be a huge difference...but now I am ready....so so ready....I can't imagine if I go late and have to do this for 5 more weeks...I am so tired of throwing up and being nauseated...do you think the u/s is a little more scientific and it could be more accurate???

Heather - I'm in the same boat. My "conception" due date is October 13th, but the Docs and u/s techs tell me October 3rd (because of the u/s). Since there is a 10 day difference, they are going with u/s date since it's sooner. Well... I've been hanging in there, going with the Oct 3rd date like they told me and I've had 2 internal exams done and NOTHING! I don't think there is any rhyme or reason to this darn method! I think whenever they're ready to come out, they're ready regardless what the due date is. At least we have some idea on when they may be born... so just be prepared, I guess! Ha, I should take my own advice, I'm so darn frustrated! I can't wait to give birth. Liz - jealous of your BM's (I know gross, but it's the truth).

Just an update. Samantha has a feeding tube in now. They put it in yesterday cuz she kept falling asleep during feedings so she wasn't finishing her bottle. So every other feeding she gets it by tube. It's so distressing, but at least I know she's getting her calories. She's in an open crib now so hopefully soon she'll be home with us.

So hard to keep up with all the posts! Destiny...i feel exactly the same as you...MISERABLE and impatient. I was never like this with my last baby..i can't stand it anymore. I went in to have my blood pressure monitored on tuesday and they even said i could be induced if i liked but that my blood pressure was fine and i was dilated to 2cm so may as well wait and go natural...well 3 days later and nothing yet. I am due next thursday but have another appointment on monday so I think I will justg tell them to induce me then if baby doesn't arrive over the weekend...I'll be 39weeks 5days then anyway. Babywish..thinking of you...I understand how emotional those first few weeks are with a newborn especially as she is in special care. I hope she is home with you soon :-) I have been losiong my plug over the past couple of days slowly...and also had a head cold GREAT timing...BUT I feel like the baby might arrive over the weekend. Shall keep you all posted!!! I just want the birth over with now. I'm fed up!

Babywish – sounds like she’s doing great! She’ll be eating all herself in no time. I have to tell you girls I took my daughter to the park yesterday and ran into this couple with a newborn son and a toddler daughter. The newborn was a little over 5 weeks old and weighed 5lbs. The parents said he was around 3lbs when he was born – he’s only been home from the hospital about 1 week they said and is perfectly healthy and doing great. The toddler, who is about 18-19 months, was 2lbs when she was born and was as healthy as can be, happy and bouncing around the park! Your little girl will be just fine, Babywish! She’ll be home in no time!

CatsMommy that is such an inspiring story....thanks for sharing. Babywish your little girl will be just fine and soon enough she will be keeping you up all night- lol. Happy Friday ladies!!!! So does anyone else have hippo feet? I haven't gained much at all but my feet are SUPER swollen- even if i keep them elevated it doesn't help! Any other suggestions?

Thanks, Beka! It was too ironic running into this nice couple yesterday at the park! They say everything happens for a reason! I don't have hippo feet but I do have monster hands! My hands are soooo swollen they look like they should belong to my DH!

Hi ladies- I had my weekly appt. today & no real progress yet. She said the outside of my cervix was a finger tip, but inside was still closed- to me that means nothing is going on yet- bummer! I went to babies r us today & decided to go w/ the medela swing (single electric pump) so I just got done boiling the parts to sterilize it. Hope you all have a productive weekend- I wanna read a birth story!!!!

I forgot to add that she thinks my lil Gianna is posterior (sunny side up) hopefully she turns around- I have heard back labor is 10x worse!!!

Hey evryone 4 days left but i am ready...babywish it want belong i know it's hard just hang in there....i went to dr yesterday and i was told my fluid is in normal low range...what is that...i have been high in normal range now here we go with low....drink plenty of water she said...i gain 6lbs n 6 days fluid she said now drink more fluid ....last week i lost a lb...please help me understand.....i know 4 days don't seem long but i am ready now...lol... good luck everybody....Sandy

Hey, I went to the midwife this morning and I am only 1 cm and 25% efface at 39 wks 3 days. He is also still sunny side up, just like my ds was, so I will probably have back labor again. I just really want to know when he will be here! My parents are flying in sunday night so if he waits til monday than I am good with that. Hope everyone is still doing ok.

Hey girls, for you's that have these posterior babies, You should really google optimal foetal positioning if you haven't already. It's quite interesting and if it works you could avoid a longer back labour. I was up like half the night. I am so annoyed. BH like crazy and very PMS feeling, back hurting on and off and such. I took some homeopathic stuff this morning, had some relations with DH and just ate some pineapple. Next I will go for a walk and drink my raspberry tea and probably none of it will do any good and I'll still be pregnant a week from now....ahhhh. Patience are you having any signs of labour? Cause I was told on tues I was only 1 cm and yet I feel like it could happen anytime. 1cm can change overnight though, I don't think it means much.

Good Morning ladies, Well it is saturday and still no baby. I went to the doc on Thursday and I am still the same 4cm and 50%. Whats really bad is, that Im right there, so close and nothing. After the doc left the room i sat and cried, I was hoping something had changed but no nothing. SAIRD- I have tried everything too, pineapple, ras leaft tea, spicy foods, bouncing on yoga ball, walking, accupressure points, s_x, castor oil, nipple stimulation, warm relaxing baths, I thought maybe since I was so dilated and 50 thinned, that one of those things had to work, but nothing. Oh well, I suppose his time will come when he wants it to, not me. Today I have been cleaning my bas____nt. Maybe that is a sign. I should have the dh take me up to the rockies, maybe alt_tude will help. Well I think I am going to go for a long walk now, and if it doesn't help bring labor on it sure helps during labor, not as much back pain. Hopefully the next time I post I will have a baby story.

AGGHHH!!! I hate false labor!!! Last night I had some contractions- started timing them & I had 4 that were 3 mins. apart, got all excited & they stopped!!! That was such a tease!!!! Geez, I hope Missp is doing alright, it's been almost a week & she hasn't even posted a lil something. Aryanna- thanks for the info, I'm going to google it now.

Wow it sounds like a few of us could have had a party last night!!!! I woke up at 12am which insane back pain...I laid there and finally got up at about 12:20 and when down the the couch...by 1:00 I just had to take a shower -it was just this crazy intense back pain that was radiating down my back with no contractions...I was up until 3am and still have the back pain coming and going periodically....Something is happening not sure what...I am naseaus and have lose stools...but I am still probably weeks out! ha!

Holy EJ that is exactly when I was up last night. I"m getting the same back pain, then it goes away.HOw nice. I'm getting so annoyed! We must be close though!
