That's what I thought...this little person knows that his/her (we don't know!!) big bro needs some extra TLC from Mommy and Daddy!

Just got back from the midwives, and I am ONLY 1 1/2 cm dilated...contractions stopped and baby is still ONLY 75% effaced. I am now at a -1 station which is better then 0...but I was looking forward to some better news. I decided not to have my membranes stripped...he will come when he is ready...I just can't imagine another 2 weeks of this...It was devastating to have to make an appointment for next week...7 more days? Oy vey...oh well...once he is here I will be over it. We did a non-stress test and will be doing another next week...I do feel defeated and did cry in the car, but then my husband took me out for some comfort food so I could eat my feelings...LOL...so it is back to waiting... I hope everyone else is doing fantastic...keep us posted on your progress...

Oh bummer Heather!!! I am sorry to hear that...progress is progress but still...that isn't enough! ha!! I am So having my membranes stripped tomorrow!! I have done a poll and the odds are-IT DOESN"T WORK! ha! But I figured...what the heck...let's give it a shot!!! It's a full moon tonight...maybe we shoudl go do some squats or lunges under the moon! ha!!! Beka and Heather- do you guys have facebook accounts?

Nope- I am hear! My appt is at 3! (CST) I am SOOOOOO bored today!

I've been jumping on the forum for a few minutes each day just to keep caught up with the births! I finally have a moment to type something... its naptime. Congrats to those who've had their babies and can't wait to hear from those who are getting closer! I hope everyone is feeling well. Jaidyn is doing well here. Had his first bottle by daddy this weekend and started giving him a binky. Doesn't take it too much or when he's hungry but just when he wants to suck. He loves to just sit at the b___bs and latch on but not suck so thats why the binky. He's gaining weight really fast and is fitting preemie clothes perfect now so not much longer til newborn. I would have been 39 weeks today! So weird!

Just got back from my appt. Nothing new. He didn't check me or do anything. He said "I know I promised you I was going to strip your membranes but I have WAY to many things going on in the next 24 hours to try and stimulate your labor" Basically he has 2 very very high risk obstetric cases that could/should or will be going in the next 24 hours and trying to "stir" things up on a totally perfect pregnancy there's no solid reason to. I TOTALLY agree with him but would be lying if I said I wasn't disappointed. So I will go in on Monday and he will check to see if my fluids are ok through an ultrasound and then decide what to do...if fluids are low there is no choice but to induce :( if not he will let me go for another week. So that's that!!!

well i'm sorry to hear it didn't get started ej, but you have to think there is a reason behind everything so the little one is just not ready! Britt, wow i didn't realize how much earlier you went- i guess i just cant keep up with all the stories...im so happy the baby is growing so fast. That's great! I will be 38 weeks on Friday. I'm getting so anxious. I go to the doc tonight. I'm sure it will be nothing exciting- just the usual. oh well! i will keep you posted...

Congrats JNFR- sounds like you went through a lot and your sweet Gianna did too but thank God she is healthy and you guys are home. You must be so happy!!! I can't wait to see pics, what is your myspace address? I will send you a friend request so we can keep in contact, but get plenty of rest and enjoy your sweet angel. Everyone else it is almost time we will all hang in there and I can't wait to read some more birth stories. Only 13 more days until I can post mine. My C-Section is scheduled for 9am on 10/28 so I will do my best to post later on that day. My other C-Sections went very smooth and I had extremely easy recoveries so I am praying I will be as lucky with this one. Talk to you all soon!

Hey GUYS! Soooo....I went to the doc. Baby is still breech and she is SO not flipping so we scheduled my c-section for next Saturday, the 25th. I am sooooo excited and scared and nervous! Can't believe its so soon!

Wow- I didn't know they did C-sections on Saturdays!!! Good for you that you know, sorry she didn't turn!! But at least you know your little babe will be in your arms in 9 days! Wow!

I hope you all are feeling well! It's just past the middle of the month and almost everyone has gone already. I'm counting down with you c-section ladies! Its getting sooo close now : ). There was two others who weren't due til the end of the month and haven't had their littles yet aren't there? Maybe 3-4 total who are still waiting? Well I'm thinking of you, and hope your not too uncomfortable it's just a matter of time now!

well...here is my update...we had the 24 hours of contractions that just came to a sudden stop...unbelievable...and then yesterday I had my show...then contractions for about 3 hours that started off at 10 minute apart down to 4 minutes apart that also stopped suddenly, which then turned into me have a great nights sleep and not a single contraction and no show today. I am starting to freak out because I am afraid this kid is going to be the size of Texas. We go back next Tuesday...but that is SOOO far from now. I really don't want to induce. I really don't want to use pitocin...I just want him out of me...and I am soooo tired of everyone else telling me things they don't actually know...like, when he's coming, how big he'll be, how difficult he'll be, why he is late...you know because he needs to be born on some same date that is special to them...aaaaarrghhhh....oh, and now I have stretch marks...which I thought I would avoid. I now officially hate my body. I will never look at my stomach again... sorry, but I need to vent, and everyone else is being so non-supportive... I really hope all of you ladies have your babes on time...or at least feel well. I am off to go cry in my nachos...LOL...

oh heather, you remind me of myself a couple of weeks ago...you're almost there, it's so hard...but your body is showing so signs it's about to start! Anyway...good to read all your updates... october will be over before we know it. It's funny how after baby is born all the days kind of blur into one. Just wondered- of the mommies who have babies..how's the b___stfeeding going? (if you are bf that is)...i am so up and down with it. It takes so much time in the first few weeks...my nipples are now FINALLY better and ''toughened up'' but now i'm just not sure if she's getting enough...45mins each feed...i know it can be normal in the first few weeks but i;m struggling...anyone else??? xx

Heather, I feel your pain with the people being sooooo annoying with their theories of how things are "supposed" to happen. Why is it that at this stage EVERYONE and their mother decides to comment on things? Believe me I am on the verge of flipping on people too! And you know what, we DESERVE to! Joey, I want to b___st feed SOOOO bad so if you have any pointers for us that haven't had the babies yet please let us know. I am hoping the fact that Im having a c-section won't kill my chances. I know i only have about a week left but for SOME reason i feel like she is coming earlier. I started getting some cramps last night- nothing too crazy but it got me sooo paranoid. I think i am stopping work midweek next week! How is everyone else feeling?

She is the light of my life & I couldn't have asked for a better son- he is so helpful & protective of her. Today I go to the dr. for my 1 week post partum visit- basically to check my incision. It is very swollen on the right side, but other than that I have been managing fairly well. Not much soreness anymore. Liz did you pop yet? I haven't had the time to read all the posts, but will as soon as I get some spare time. Love & Luck to all of you!!!!
