Oh No The FLU Has Hit My House

This is terrible. I was hoping it would skip us! I guess seeing as how the flu shot is apparently only 50% effective this year someone was bound to get it. My husband now has it. I'll be 36 weeks tomorrow and am terrified I will have this baby while I have the flu or that one of my other kids will have it when we get home. Anyone had the flu this late in pregnancy?

I had it last week and I am 36 weeks. Total Misery! But it pa__sed after 3 days, and I seemed to get it worse than my DH or my 2 YO dd. Ayla got the flu mist which protected against a wider range of flu, so that could explain why hers was not as bad. My mom got the shot, and got it just as bad as I did though! The fever, and sore throat was the worst of it. Good luck, and wash your hands a lot!

I didn't get the flu but I am recovering from a vicious cold! Just drank lots of liquids, lots of rest, steam and saline when I needed them and an occasional tylenol for the pain...now five days later I am on the other side and feeling human again. I hope you manage to avoid it, I agree on the handwashing, other than that, best of luck I hope you and the kids manage to avoid it...
