Dropped means that the baby has actually dropped lower into the pelvis. the babies head is down and engaged into the pelvic region i beleive.

Lighting/Dropped is the movement of your baby down into the pelvis which occurs toward the end of the pregnacy to geting ready for birth. Engaged is when the baby drops below the pelvic bones.

When your baby drops, it's absolutely lovely! You feel like you can breathe again, and actually eat! Not dangerous at all...they're both good things! Although, the engaging part feels a bit uncomfortable the lower the baby goes...but that's just because there's a head occupying the space in your pelvic bones. Your hips will spread and feel really loose, and the pelvic bones actually feel a little loose, or strange. (For me they do, anyway.) Some babies drop a couple of weeks before birth, and others tend to like to stay higher. Same goes for engaging. As far as symptoms...you'll know. It just feels different! (Plus, it's harder to sit, and walk/waddle!)

oh i c . hmm sounds a little scary. but none of these have happened with me so far touch wood . hopefully they happen at the right time.

They'll happen! Don't you worry about it. My lo dropped a couple of weeks ago...or at least lowered his/herself enough to make me a lot more comfy! I didn't even really notice, although some women it's a pretty drastic change. I was already carrying really low though. Nothing scary about it...although I will warn you...the stretching or thinning of the cervix was quite painful for me when it first started (I don't know if I'm just a lot more tolerant now, or if it's really better.). For me it felt like a really sharp pain shooting right up between my legs! Only lasted for about 30 seconds max. but, no-one had mentioned it to me, and it really freaked me out. So, if that starts...don't worry, it's normal! How many weeks are you?

iam 32 weeks n worried coz i hace cerclage

Wow...I think you've already been through the worst part. The thought of having a cerclage done scares me...you're so brave! But, that means you don't need to worry, because you have help keeping baby where he/she belongs! (The rest of us just got to worry our way through the third trimester!) Don't worry, take care of yourself, and just pay attention to your body. Our bodies are super at telling us when something isn't quite right! You'll be fine! Hang in there!
