Today I learned... strappy sandals are no longer worth the effort. I needed to adjust the straps because my ankles were swollen and OMG it was the most difficult task I have had so far this pregnancy. There I am, tilted in the chair, trying to pull my foot up, and I can't figure out how to position my foot so I can actually GET TO the strap! Yeesh.

Yeah, shaving! Fortunately I have pretty light hair, and not much of it, otherwise I'd be in trouble...I hate to see the forrest growing up under my belly though. I snuck a peek in my full length mirror the other day, got disgusted and decided I wouldn't do that again until I can actually see up under there again by just looking down. Other things that I wish I had known are that the weight gain during pregnancy can be staggering. I thought 25 pounds was a lot, but I've gained almost 50.

Ok since I mis posted last time I would like to post a correct response this time lol - No one told me how hard it would be to wipe...That is the most frustrating to me then second I will say is the shaving ( I have the bloody towel to prove I tried) and then third is not being able to touch my feet thank goodness I was not due in march and have that last tri in the winter with having to wear shoes or boots... I have been living in flip flops and doing my best at scrubbing my feet.
I will also admit to being a little scatterbrained lately and that was not expected haha

well no-one told me that you should be doing pelvic floor exercises, so ive started them now at 7 months in the hope that i dont have the 'sneeze and pee' problem! shaving is a definate thing nobody tells you about, at the moment im using a mirror for down below and then shaving my legs when im in the bath although it is such a pain i only manage it maybe once a week.
i would also say for me eating is a problem. i seem to have this bump in the way that i get most of the food on my top than in my mouth!! oh and everytime you sit down you have to think of the easiest way to get back up, same goes for getting out of bed god knows how many times per night to go to the loo!!!
about the birth, nobody told me about the cathetar thing either nor that you might poo whilst pushing or that you have to deliver the placenta after you have had the baby, i naively thought the placenta followed the baby out!!

I like this post, haha it's funny. So I'm with everyone on the shaving thing. It's gotten to be too much of a chore and I could really careless anymore. Luckily my fiance is a trooper and has helped me to tame the wild jungle below my belly. I think it may just be because he is the one that would have to look at it, haha. The wiping thing is also getting to be a task. I've actually resorted to those flushable wipes because I feel much cleaner with them. I should have know about this one too, but the hemorrhoids. I'm not even constipated but I still think I may be getting one, how unfair. And I actually didn't know about the catheter thing, but now I just have one more thing to look forward to like when I poo all over the place during labor, haha.

I have to post - I too can't shave pretty much anything besides my armpits! LOL but luckily my dh is freaky and will help manage my downward jungle! LOL - I shaved my legs yesterday for the first time in weeks! maybe since Easter LOL - oh and my bed is ridiculously high off the floor I now need a step stool to get in and out at least a million times a night - I have 10 weeks to go! My husband had nicknamed me grunter - I grunt or make some other audible noise no matter what I do - stand up sit down stretch my leg - climb the stairs....LOL oh and I can't walk from here to there without becoming completely winded and needing at least 2 mins to catch my breath!

I do love this post - I also didn't know you'd fart so much. I just get up or roll over or laugh and it comes out. It's really embarra__sing in public. :) The sneezing/coughing is terrible too - I have to cross my legs and squat to keep from peeing my pants. :) sigh...only 5 more weeks....

For me it's the sweating thing. It's GROSS! I'm the kind of person who never sweats, even in the summer, I rarely have to put deodorant on. Now, it's disgusting, and I sweat in between my thighs too (sorry TMI!). I hate it so much! No one had ever told me about that!

I was able to shave and paint my toenails all the way until I gave birth. But it was such a chore. Shaving require alot of feeling around once my belly got so big I could no longer see down there. I never knew how bad my hips and back would hurt or how difficult it would be to sleep. And the d__n heartburn!

you know what no one ever mentioned to me... the fact that you bleed for so long after you deliver. I hate having a five day period let alone a freakin month long period lol. oh well... I just keep reminding myself that the baby is worth it, she's worth all of this lol :)

LOL!! Yeah no one told me how I would have to ask for help to get up! I must be a sight in public! My poor husband always pulling me out of chairs or out of the car! I've also had trouble with the wiping thing! I have to get creative every time I go to the bathroom! Some times I just give up and just get in the shower because it's much easier to shower myself! Also, I now have to sit with my legs entirely open because if not I can't sit comfortably, breathe or eat at all! I have to go through a lot but I can manage my legs, my armpits are easy, but anything else gets bypa__sed! When I walk I also feel like he's going to pop his head out! I also didn't expect to have trouble putting my panties on! I can't lift my legs up to get my foot trough! I have to either lay down in bed, sit, or just ask for help! Oh and it's so lovely when the baby kicks and I get the contents of my stomach back in my mouth! ANd the gas! my poor husband says he feels like he's in iraq or something b/c he never know when the next bomb will explode! Thank goodness that It's gonna be all over soon!

NO ONE told me I was going to become diabetic during pregnancy! That one was a total shocker to me. Now I don't just get to ignore my sweet cravings, I have to ignore large portions of just normal FOOD overall unless it's snack or meal time!
Here's another thing I didn't expect. I'm 34 weeks now and I really didn't get that big of a belly at all. I can reach everything fine, I can get out of the car by myself, etc. I just look a bit fat and that's about it. Weird huh?
