Screaming Mimi Is Making Us All Deaf HELP

I have a teeny little one year old who is happy and well adjusted and developing well. . . BUT - she is the loudest baby I have ever known. It's not a temporary little phase where she's fascinated by the sound of her own squeals or anything like that. Since birth, her crying has been abnormally loud. I had planned to co-sleep, but her little baby gurgles kept my husband and I awake all night, so she's been in her own crib since she was 2 weeks old. Her baby babbles are so loud that i get comments everywhere I go - grocery store, you name it. When I go to church I have to keep taking her out because she shouts down the priest (he's the one who good naturedly nick-named her screaming mimi). I don't think she has hearing problems, because she responds to a whisper from accross the room.
I kept reassuring my husband and myself that as her speech developed, she would get better at controlling the volume of her voice. She's now one and can say several words, and is LOUDER THAN EVER.
Has anybody else had this problem? We are becoming frustrated and running out of Tylenol :)
Any help would be appreciated!

Tylenol? why would she be getting that?
My good friend has a little girl (now 2.5) who has been extremely loud since birth. Yelling, screaming...just very very vocal. It's also an indicator of her personality type. She is very a__sertive and stubborn. But that is just who she is. She can also be lovely and sweet. I think you may just need to accept that that is how your dd expresses herself.

She's not getting the tylenol, we are (from the noise induced headaches). Ana is also lovely, sweet, a__sertive, stubborn, etc. You're probably right.
