Really Confused - November 7

So, I had a transabdominal scan at 7 weeks 1 day, saw one baby one heartbeat!!! This is my first pregnancy (and one miscarriage at 6 weeks) So i am 11 weeks today, and my belly is about as big as my sisters who is 19 weeks pregnant! I have been in maternity pants from 9 weeks!!! I was 51kg pre pregnancy and now im 57kg!!! Always Hungry!!!! So i am suspecting twins! I have my NT scan on wednesday. Neway I am kinda impatient... I got first babies heartbeat in the centre just above my pubic bone at 9 weeks!!! Today I decided to see if i could pick up another, because of my suspicions!! I heard a second about an inch to the right and an inch higher than the original heartbeat!!! I did some research on the net, and im sure i can hear my heart beat with the windy wooshing next to baby A to the left. Then about an inch to the right i can hear my heartbeat and the wooshing again!!! (i thought this was the placenta, as it sound like it from the sound clips i found) just above the second one assumed placenta i can hear a fast heartbeat again!! same kinda clicking horse trot noise as the first!!! The heartbeats were detected about a minute apart! One was 155bpm and the other 170bpm!! So i guess my question is, do the doppler sounds sound like your twin pregnancies!! Or am i hearing some kind of echo? Im soooo impatient and excited for wednesday!!!

Ahhh how interesting.... I will definitely keep an eye on this thread!, how thorough was ultrasonagrapher? Did they mention any other gestational sacs ? Mine were both visable at 7 weeks but have heard of some being undetected..... Good luck x x

Oh and I couldnt really make out on Doppler i couldn't ever determine whether I was hearing the same one all the time or individuals as early on i could only get doppler to read heartbeat from one area or heard mine x

Well, the sonographer was running behind by about an hour (my appointment was at 9 and she started my scan at 10!!!) there was apparently an emergency with some lady in the Early pregnancy unit of the hospital! She took about 5 minutes in whole with us!! She didn't even measure the heart rate! Just said there is the baby, there is the yolk sac and the flashing is the heartbeat, here is a picture, goodbye!!! Oh I forgot to mention I was taking Vitex, to regulate my cycles after the miscarriage!!! The internet said it could be echos!!! Im so excited and impatient to find out and start telling people about the pregnancy!!! one is a blessing, two would be difficult, but definitely amazing!!! :D

Ahhhhh be sure to post after next scan.... Sounds like there's a good chance,.... :) x

Well there is apparently only one, she seemed insulted that i didnt trust the first scan!! They told me that you cannot pick up a heartbeat at 12 weeks with a doppler!!! Insulting my intelligence, if i thought my heartbeat was a 170 bmp i would be ringing for an ambulance!!! :)

At times they can be very inconsiderate of people's feelings and very matter of fact(or at least their professional opinion) It is not unheard of to hear heartbeat on Doppler before 12 weeks...I did!... I'm sure many posts on here would agree, I've known people not to get a clear home heartbeat at 20weeks! Everyone is different! My advice to you would be to take on board what she's said as much as it aggravates you get used to the thought that you are carrying one healthy baby then worst case scenario she will be right on next scan..... Or better still it confirms your suspicions and you can be very smug... :) x x

I dont know if its normal, but i dont seem to be clicking with any of my "care team" Im an adult yet, i feel like im being treated like a child back at school!! I am getting a new community midwife next visit, so i hope she is better!!! I want to be able to talk to them, but all they seem to be interested in is filling in d__n paperwork!

Really Confused - November 10

Its all really new to me! My first child, i have no idea whats normal, whats not!! Have so many questions, its kinda overwhelming, and when i ask questions, i usually get quite frustrated responses and back to the paperwork! I know they may be asked the same question 20 times a day, and that they are overworked and stressed, but there is no need to take it out on me! lol sorry gone off on a bit of a rant!

Ahhhhhh bless you!,, how awful, I remember feeling the same when I had my first two sons! They were cold and I remember feeling that their att_tudes made me feel I couldn't question anything and I didnt want them having the impression I was young or couldn't cope.... Most of them have done it so long that they are numb to it all....in my experience with my last son I felt ignored and on a conveyor belt for time!i explained to midwife how I felt and that although I'd had previous pregnancies It was all new to me again (10 yr gap between the youngests) and she seemed so much more understanding....I know they aren't all the same but I'd say most would like to know they'd rea__sured someone or made someone happy when they go home at night! I think sometimes they need a bit of a nudge to remind them why they are doing the job in the first place! I hope your pregnancy becomes easier it doesn't sound like its much fun for you at the moment ? X x x
