Two weeks ago, I had what was meant to be my 8 week ultrasound for a single pregnancy. The results were not so good as the ges sac correlated to 9 weeks and the fetus to 6 weeks with no heartbeat. We concluded a blighted ovum. Yesterday, I had another ultrasound, which surprisingly found that I have two ges sacs each containing an embryo about 6 weeks. A failed twin pregnancy has not been excluded but it would explain why the ges sac was so large in the first ultrasound. I have been advised to have blood tests to work out a HCG t_tre. I am really confused at the moment and was wondering if anyone has had any of these experiences and whether I may be getting my hopes up only to be told that it had all been a mistaske. Please help.

It would seem the developmental age of the fetus should have progressed in the two weeks between u/s's? I am sorry it does not sound well. I hope that I might be wrong. "God Bless you and those you love."
