Could The Ultrasound Be Wrong

I had an ultrasound at 7 weeks due to some spotting and they found one healthy baby! I was so relieved! At my 12 week prenatal physical I had my pelvic exam and my doctor found that my uterus felt at least 2 weeks bigger than it should. The heartbeat was in the 160's. This is my second pregnancy and from the start I felt like I was going to have twins. At 13.5 weeks I had a doctor I know do an informal ultrasound. She found one baby but he/she was very active! I still feel it in my gut that I'm going to have twins. Has anyone gone through this? Could they have missed one?
