I've been reading this board for a while. There seems to be endless women who have conceived on clomid. I'm not TTC but more of less just curious.
can you answer a few qs for me?
Are you fertile?
How much did you take?
What days?
How many cycles did you go through?
How many babies did you conceive?
Thanks!

kris - Some women in here are fertile, and they are taking clomid to ttc twins. Some women in here are taking clomid due to infertility. We really have a wide range of women taking this medication for all different reason. Likewise there are women taking prescribed and unprescribed clomid. The doseage for either type of clomid ranges from 50-250mg. Most women only take 50mg or 100mg. The days that it is taken is usually 2-6, 3-7, 4-8, or 5-9. Most doctors tell us to take it cd5-9 because it produces a better quality egg(s). However, the most common days are cd3-7, because this produces more eggs. This eggs have a higher chance of not being implanted because of their quality. The maximum amount of cycles that a woman can take this drug is 6, and then they have to take a break for a while so they dont run the risk of overstimulation. Plus doctors say that if it doesnt happen within 6 cycles on clomid, then clomid isnt going to work at all. Most women only get prego with 1 baby (this includes fertile women), and only 6% of women actually conceive twins. Less then 1% conceive higher order multiples. I hope this helps.
