I am 5 weeks and 6 days pregnant. I went for my 2nd ultrasound yesterday and was told that ther was possible 2. You could see the first baby really well and it had a strong heart beat and from another angle she could see another baby but no heart beat. She said that it could just be to early to see the other heart beat and that we would re check next Monday. Has anyone ever experienced this??

Yep--I had two on my first ultrasound with yolk sacs and a third sac that looked empty. I went in a week later for another ultrasound and three heartbeats were found :D Very early ultrasounds commonly have this problem.

yes i went to the hospita for a 6 week scan as had a ectopic pregnancy previous and they said their was 2 sacs 1 heart beat and said one could just vanish so told me to come back at 8 weeks and their was definatly 2 i am now 21weeks with twin boys good luck and congratulations x
