Hi ladies! Do any of you experience EWCM (egg white cervical mucous) more than once in a cycle before AF arrives? I have a mild case of PCOS so I don't ovulate regularly, but generally every month and a half. Some months I'll have a couple days of EWCM, then a week or two later it'll happen again, then two weeks later AF. It's like my body thinks I'm ovulating (or is trying to), then later on it happens. Thought I'd ask you guys since I know a lot of you are going through fertility issues and are the foremost experts on ovulation and CM! :-) thank you!!

Hey, it is perfectly normal! The first EWCM is most likely ovulation. The second EWCM (or CM of any kind) can be attributed to the estrigen levels in your body preparing for AF. I am a__suming that you are in here because you are ttc. The cycle that you conceive, you will have a little of it as well because that is how your body forms the mucus plug on the cervix.

Thanks for the info! I'm actually not TTC, just trying to figure out my cycle to help predict AF. I was TTC from 2006-2007 and finally got pregnant on Metformin. My little girl is 18 mos old now (I also have a 6-year-old son) and I'm usually posting on the Toddler Forum. My whole adult life I've never had a regular cycle. I was either on BCP's or TTC with irregular cycles so this is a new thing for me to have cycles every month or two. I've only been this "regular" since my daugher turned one. I was baffled by it because I know AF is supposed to happen two weeks after ovulation, but a lot of the EWCM I get is three or more weeks before AF, with another round or two of EWCM thrown in the middle. Or maybe I'm still not ovulating each cycle, but I get AF anyway. Who knows....just curious really. thanks!!!
