Is your doc monitoring you with ultrasound to count your follicles and see how you're responding to the medication? The number of follicles you have should give you an idea about how likely multiples are. I don't really know too much about Femara. I didn't know it was used as a fertility drug. Sorry I don't have more info for you.

My twins are from Femara. We were the first set at our clinic. They had used it in over 125 patients before us. At another board I post at there was another women who had twins from Femara also. If you are nervous about multiples you could always sit a cycle out if there are too many mature follies.

Yes, they are monitoring with U/S. I go in for one next week. It's always good to know I can sit a cycle out. Thanks for the info ladies!

Hello twinmommy, I have some questions for you. I am on my 2nd cycle of femara and this month on my CD12 (10-2-06) I had two mature follicles at 23mm and think I ovulated that day. My husband and had intercourse on day 10, 11, 12, 14, & 15. What do you think the chances are that I conceive twins or anything at all this month? Thanks.

My doc says 1 in 10 chances of twins with Femara. I'm on my first month and had two follicles.

Jasmynyu-I hope you have a great chance! I really don't know though, I don't really know what your fertility issues are. dgroove-I've never, ever heard that they are that high. Actually, my clinic had used Femara on about 150 women before me and we were their first set of multiples. They said the chances of twins with Femara are the same as they would be on clomid which is less than 10%
