Hi...first timer and a worrier. LMP 2/1, last "congress" held 2/7. Really light, brown spotting on 2/23 & 24 and then again on the 26th. I had a FABULOUS 1st job interview on the 25th and then had dreams about not getting the job because I was pregnant. So, 2/27 I took a HPT on my lunch break thinking I was being silly.
So...I was positive...saw the MD on 3/1 did an HCG and it was 1111 (day I should have had my period) and on 3/3 was 2471! Yes, I was freaked at first, but happy now. Now, freaked again. Anyone had HCG levels that high that quick?
Being the worrier that I am, I looked up some things...these are my risk factors for twins: 37yo, in the top 5% for height, tend towards shorter cycles, already have 2 kiddos.
Can anyone put me out of my misery? Wondering what's up is the worst. I should also mention that my last child was born with a heart defect which seems to be making me even more of a basket case.

Just wanted to give you my #'s, but please remember that the only way to really know if there's more than one in there is to have an u/s to confirm it. At 15 dpo (1 day late) I was 1450 and 17 dpo I was 2880. This was with my twins. I don't know what my #'s were for my singleton. Congrats on your pregnancy! Hey, did you get the job?

It was an interview for an "eligibility pool" for a teaching position. I wouldn't get a second interview until at least May! I may be subst_tuting a while longer than planned...as long as we're healthy it's all good....thanks for asking :)
Sounds like our numbers are a lot alike. I wish I could get an ultrasound already and know.

Melissa is right that the #s don't really mean anything. I chose not to find out my #s as I didn't want to worry or read more into it. u/s is the only way to find out for sure. Keep in mind that with any pregnancy #s should at least double every 2-3 days so you seem to be right on target! Good luck.
