I just found out we are expecting twins! Due around the first part of April. I have already found the Brewer diet online for twins, but I am now looking for some good books to read..I really want a natural birth, and just am having a hard time finding anything. I have had several natural births so far, and see no reason why I can't do it with 2..Any help?? Thanks, and it's nice to be on here!

Congrats!!! Twins is so exciting... i was pregnant with naturally conceived twins due march 2nd but lost them at twelve weeks. Very recently... I suggest you read "Having Twins or more" by elizabeth noble... my cousin has twins and she told me to read it when i found out i was having twins. I never got to reading it but she suggested it for me. And of course you can deliver 2 naturally... the only problem is that with twins sometimes baby number two isn't always head down... so you'll deliver one baby head first and then they wont let you deliver the other and you'll have a c-section... ick! Hopefully that doesn't happen but it's hard to judge with two little ones in there!! Congrats again! :)

This was a complete surprise! We have distant twins in the family, and I was not taking any kind of meds so, who knows..Thanks so much..I am really afraid of something going wrong..I don't know what the odds are, but we have a u/s on Wed. Cant wait for that..Thanks for the book suggestions..I think my midwife would let me deliver a breech..I have a very proven pelvis, after delivering a few that were over 9lbs. I think I'd smack her if she said no!

HAHA! midwives are way more easy going than an MD... an MD will just throw you right into a c-section (my worst fear)!!! I'm sure you'll be fine... looking back i had a lot of warning signs of things going wrong... I had an ultrasound at 7 weeks... though she only saw one baby then and even though we could hear the heartbeat... it was much slower than what i was used to. Though at the time i was like "maybe it's a boy"... i also had a bladder infection (undetected) for weeks that was noticed at 10 weeks and i got put on meds at 11 weeks... i think that played a big roll in what happened and i've looked into it a little so when i get pregnant again i'll try to take extra precautions like drinking cranberry juice and stuff. At first i blamed myself but how could i have known i had a bladder infection if i didnt feel it... i'm switching ob's because i think it should've been treated quicker... they waited a week after my appt to call me and put me on meds! but like i said... i missed a LOT of signs.... my pregnancy symptoms disappeared and every night i would like push on my belly and think geez i thought it would be bigger but i would convince myself i was wrong! I don't mean to scare you... i just want to rea__sure you that the odds are you'll have a perfectly good pregnancy and delivery too!
