I am 8 wks pregnant and I just had an ultrasound which did not show twins. because i am so large, I wonder if the ultra sound could have missed a second baby. Is this possible and if so at what point can one baby be hidden no longer.

Hi Katrina. I am 20 weeks pregnant (but, I look like I'm really 36 weeks pregnant). The doctor noticed something "different" on my ultrasound at 19 weeks. I will take another one soon. I gained 18 pounds in one month. However, my first trimester was simply awful. I had "ALL DAY SICKNESS" and actually lost weight. I couldn't eat very much of anything and required an IV at 10 weeks. I will pose your question to my doctor.

I am 25 weeks and measuring 31 weeks and have only gained a pound ( although I lost a ton of weight during my first trimester due to all day sickness ) They have tested me for gestational diabetes and that was negative. Could there be a chance that I am carrying twins????
