I REALLY FEEL LIKE I M HAVING MULTIPLES

Hi, my husband and i decided to have a baby and I am 35 years old and he is 50 years old.... Well my last period was on Jan. 29th, 2007- in late January I was taking Vitex-natural herb and Feb. 6th and Feb. 7th were my fertile dates and we had intercourse.... On Feb. 18th I took pregnancy test which brought me to 5 days prior and it came positive.... I actually FELT pregnant by this time , my chest hurt, nauseated and sensitive to smells.... I am now approx. 7 weeks and feel like I'm 4 1/2 months.... This would be 5th child and I was wondering does it sound as if I am carrying twins?

Maybe, but maybe not... if this is your fifth pregnancy, you are very aware of how your body feels when pregnant... so this could be why you notice your symptoms so soon. Do you know what your beta hcg's are? Sometimes they are elevated even more so w/ multiples....

gift, only the sono will tell you for sure. There is no gold standard in symptoms for a multiple pg....tons of gals were sure it was twins because of an early hpt, getting big fast, or a feeling and it was a singleton. Getting a postive hpt at 9dpo with a singleton is actually advertised by many hpt companies. time and an sono will tell for sure. Good LUck.

No, I don't know what they are.... I will be going to doctor in a few weeks.... It has been 9 years since I have been pregnant- truly I only say must be pregnant with twins due to severe symptoms- I've been nauseated since day one every day through out the day and night, I am showing already-I'm reg. about 115lbs and 5ft 3 in. , Really due to that it really makes me ? it then ofcourse my age and twins run in my family- With all my other pregnancies I felt the same - this one is definitely different

well i have to tell you that I used Vitex 1 time and got pg with twins, I lost one of them at 6 weeks, but its highly possibly. Being your older, and you've had subsequent pg. I am pg with twins, I will be 34 on Sun, Ive had 5 kids before, so these will be 6 and 7 for us. I did take clomid the month before, and this was my off cycle. I apparently popped 2 eggs with the clomid like I did with the Vitex..I'm anxious to hear if you've found out anything yet?? GL

Lcoots- I will have u/s in April and I definitely will update you.... How far are you in pregnancy now? Twins run in my family so I did think chances increased with that.... :) Do you know if you are having boys or girls or one of each?

Im just 9w4d pg with the twins, so I don't know their gender, though I really think its 2 boys, Ive been right with all my kids so far. So I would be SHOCKED if they are somethign other than b/b..lol Cool April is just around the corner

That is really cool and two boys :) I would be approx. 9 weeks this Thurs. so your a bit ahead of me but it will be nice to be able to track pregnancies together.... How does your body feel now? Were your symptoms different with your singletons?

No ultrasound yet- my husband is getting anxious and so am I .... We will be scheduling our apt. on Mon. and hopefully they will schedule an ultrasound for the same day- I'm at least going to req. it... hehehe

Again- both my husband and I are happy with one baby :) that was the goal..... Once I have an ultrasound i will definitely post if my feelings on having 2 are actual...
