you really want to keep them in, although it is so uncomfortable. at 32 weeks i was 3 cm dialated and i held on until 36 weeks. sorry about the typing. i'm holding a squirming baby

I went to 38 weeks. I walked around 2cm dilated for close to a month. Keep those babies in as long as you can. Yes, it's uncomfortable but you'll be very thankful if you can go to term and bring them home with you with no NICU time. Good luck!!

I had my boys at 36.5 weeks. Mine was scheduled c-section though...but the nurses said it was a good thing I was scheduled for that day...I was having labor contractions! Good timing! :)

I was a little over 38 weeks. I had a scheduled c-section. I never even felt a single contraction the whole pregnancy, so I think I could've made it even farther if we hadn't scheduled the c-section. I totally understand your feelings, though. I remember how stressed I felt those last few weeks. I woke up every morning thinking "this is the day" and then going to bed frustrated every night. And I was also stressed because my parents kept having to change their flight plans as I kept making it past the dr.'s predictions. I definitely remember not wanting to be pregnant anymore, but now I'm glad that I went so far and had healthy babies and no NICU time. Hang in there! It will be over soon enough.

I feel for you! My twins are now 7 weeks old, and the end of the pregnancy was just the pits. I was beyond miserable. Regarding how long they will let you go, depends on so many different things. Being that you were already dilated and effaced, the chances are that you will not go until the end, probably another 2-4 weeks. If everything is going good though, they do not usually induce until 38 weeks minimum. Have you been examined since 31 weeks? Ask your doc to examine you to get more of an idea. It also depends on your fluid levels and the positions of your babies. I know you are miserable, I remember it all too well, but the longer you can keep those babies inside, the safer they are. Having preemies can come with all sorts of issues, so just hang on to that thought, the longer you are able to go, the better for the babies. Good luck and keep us posted.

You might be uncomfortable but keep your babies in as long as possible.

I was induced at 38 +1. It's best to keep those little ones in as long as possible. I totally feel your pain and discomfort. Those last few weeks (well months) are really hard. Just try to rest as much as you can. Hang in there.
