My partner and I have been trying to conceive for years and finally, due to a long tour of hormones and in vitero fertilization, we’re expecting twins. The boys will be my first children, and I’m wondering if carrying them to term poses any special challenges?

Yes. Expect everything not to be twice as bad…it’ll be five times as bad! No really, I had twins and have a friend who has triplets and the worst thing I can remember about it was the last trimester, when you feel like a beached whale, your pubes are KILLING YOU and you think you’re going to explode. Plus, hello stretchmarks. My pelvis looks like something wild clawed it. But I love my twins more than my own life, so it’s all going to be worth it, girlfriend. Some people say cocoa b___ter helps prevent stretchmarks, so I’d get started on it right away, just in case it isn’t a myth.
