Aside from the possibilty of multiple births, are there any other reasons it could be elevated? My first level was 10,000 at 21 dpo. Thanks.

You can have a single pregnancy and just make a lot of HCG, then there are some other "tumor like" conditions that create high HCG levels like trophoblastic disease, Molar pregnancy or partial Molar pregnancy. All of which are WAY less likely than healthy single or multiple pregnancy. Are you scheduled for a sonogram? That's the ONLY way to be sure. Good luck!

Could be eptopic, could be nothing, could be multiples, could be a baby with downs syndrome. At 7 weeks my HcG was 85 576, probably twins but I had been bleeding then so we think we lost one... but doctor also said that some women just produce more or less.
