Pelvic Pains

I have been experiencing pelvic pains. Sometimes it feels like a pushing down pressure, at other times its very light pains and sometimes its sharp pains. This has been happening more for the last week or so. I am now 13w4d. I have asked friends that are/have been pregnant with singletons and asked if they have had these types of pains. They all have said no. I am curious if I am feeling this due to my being pregnant with twins. Are any of you having pains in your pelvis area?

Are you asking if we think you could be pg with twins? Or do you know your pg with twins and wanting to know if this is normal? I just want to make sure I get this straight..lol Is this your first pg? Ive been pg 8 times, and there have been a few pg that Ive had lots of pressure and pelvic pains. Do these pains worsen when you walk or just all the time? There is a condition that some women get where they have lots of pain and have a hard time walking. Symphysis Pubis Dysfunction is what its called you might want to do a search and see if those are the symptoms your having..

Lcoots ... I am pregnant with twins. Sorry about the confusion. This is my first pregnancy. The pains just come and go through out the day and night. It does not worsen when I walk. ***Wow you have been pregnant 8 times. That is amazing!

well then i would say its the babies..lol Im sure when they are stretching and moving they cause some pain. I think it really depends on how they are laying. Yep Ive been pg 8 times but have 5 living children. Congrats on your twins.

this might sound dumb but I am a really small framed person and I felt those pains when I was pg with just one. The early pains were my uterus streatching, later ones were sciatic never pains and actually radiated down my legs and into my back also. And the ones I felt towards the end of my pregnancy was my pelvic joint actually spliting. It only happens to a few people. Most people dont even have to worry about it but I am not only small framed but do to a disability I was born with one side of my pelvis is smaller then the other so it split when I got pg. Since your carrying twins you may have this issue and it may happen earlyer to you then it did me. For some women it can start as early as 14wks so that sounds like what you might be having. Go to babyworld.co.uk and do a search for Pelvic joint pain (symphysis pubis dysfunction) there is an article on there that will tell you more. Or you can google the above too.
