I have a question. Has anyone who is taking U/P Clomid gone to their docs and asked them for it? I am thinking about going to my doc and telling him I've been trying to get pregnant and can't and try to request Clomid. I want to take it, because I HAVE to get pregnant when my husband gets back from Kuwait, or he won't be here for the birth of our baby(ies). The reason I want twins, is because I've already had two C-sections and am worried about my ability to have too many more. I ovulate normally and plan to take clomid 50mg days 3-7 with the Robitussin & asprin. If the doc can watch over this I'd feel A LOT better! Thanks for the input! No neg messages please!

do mention it to the doc if you know it doesnt harm your rights with insurance and all....you never know and then miss the chance of getting support...i didnt mention it to my doc cause h is horrible and totally uninterested about anything he is alos very patronising so i never even bothered..to me it was if i do end up preg on clomid i will get the same care as anyone else which i do now..if i have side effects while taking it i just need to mention it and will still get the care i require....so treally whatever i do i can do wihtout having to hear him put me down....but not all docs are like mine in fact most are totally opposite..you will know best what to do...tell or not to tell..but let someone else in your family know...and if you anyone in the medical profession get their opinions too..my sis in laws are both pharmacists and kept asking them about clomid motnhs ago..indirectly..to get some good idea how strong the drug is...
think it through and see there is mostly no harm in asking..maybe ask him if he can prescribe it for you..if he sais no tell him 'what would happen if you buy it yourself and use it? and take it from there..

Thanks for responding! I was thinking about telling him that I needed to get pregnant right away (totally true) and that I don't have time for tests. If he says he can't prescribe it then I was just going to flat out say that I'm going to buy it, so that if there IS something wrong that he knows ahead of time, plus he won't be surprised if I show up with multiples. My husband is in the army, and the doc I see on base (reg doc not OB) seems pretty laid back, and if I GIVE him a reason to give it to me (wink wink) I think he might. We shall see. I just didn't know if most of the time they require you to do a boat load of tests first, or if they take you at your word. I'm not asking for 200 mg or anything! ;)
