Getting prego for the 3rd time was a shock because it was way unplanned and when i went to the doctor they said it was fraternal TWINS that was an even bigger shock, unfortunately neither one of the babies lived much longer then that- my hormone count was lowering, they had not formed a heartbeat yet, and they both were not developing. Both of the babies vanished within the next week- I was 7 weeks far long when they died according to the sonogram this was very devastating. I never took any fertility supplements and twins are not in my family but are in my husbands but I heard that with fraternal twins that it passes maternally so maybe there could have been twins in my family and only one made it who knows- Before I found out I was pregnant I was taking a herb for my hair called Biotin, and I was wondering if anybody knows if it could have something in it to boost fertility, or cause the problems which could have made me loose the babies. The doc said that when pregnant with twins the vanishing twin gets absorbed basically because its not getting the nutrition from the blood that it needs to survive and for some reason neither one of my babies were getting it which kept them from developing. Any thoughts?
I was never the girl that wanted twins but now that I've been pregnant with twins and loss them there is a deep loss that will only be filled if I had twins again I hope when we start which will probably be soon we can conceive twins again.

I am in the same situation. I lost twins at 10.5 weeks in 2008 and have since given birth to healthy little girl that is now 9 months old. But, I just cannot get the thought of having twins again out of my head. I feel as if I will not be complete without them. My Dr. will be putting me on Clomid if my cycles do not regulate themselves and as bad as it sounds I hope they don't. So I can try Clomid in hopes of getting my twins, again. Good luck to you, you are not alone!
