I am 13 weeks pregnant with twins. I had my first daughter through cesarean section but would like to experience va___al birth for my second delivery. Would it be complication free with twins? The other thing is, how soon can I detect their gender?

I thought once you had a C section, you always had to have one with future pregnancy's, as the chances of it re-opening????

Because you have had one C-section does not necessarily mean you will have to always have one. It is called Vaginal Birth After Cesearean or VBAC. A v____al birth for twins however, is more complicated than a singleton delivery and a twin VBAC is not usually recommended due to the over-extension of the uterus. If the babies are in the correct positions your doctor may allow you to attempt a VBAC, but it probably depends on your particular doctor. Also, VBAC's are not alway successful even when you are carrying only one baby. I myself have had one v____al delivery, twins via c-section, and an attempted VBAC that resulted in another c-section. The second c-section recovery was way easier than the first, and I am thankful we chose (at the beginning of labor) to deliver the twins c-section due to Baby B being breech. What we didn't know is that his cord was tightly wrapped around his neck and body and he probably wouldn't have survived a v____al delivery. I am happy to say that even though I was initially very disappointed to have to have a c-section it was the best and safest decision and I was rewarded with 2 very healthy, unharmed, 7 lb. 2 oz. (each!) baby boys! Praise the Lord!
