Before i had my tubal done i was very fertile. I had my tubal reversal in May 2008 AF comes every two months or sometimes three. Yesterday i just started taking Vitex. I know it will take a while to work. What is the safe recommended dosage to kinda jump start things. I'm doing what the bottle says for the dosage. Is there anything else to help?

Marine_Wife - I'm sorry I don't know anything about Vitex but I am sure some of the other ladies do. I took the soy isoflavan this cycle and I am just waiting to ovulate and go from there. Good Luck to you. I have my tubal reversal back in 03 and I got pg in 04 and had another little girl bringing my total to 4 girls and no boys. Krissy68

vitex is safe the recommended daily dose for improvig fertility or stabilizing hormones is 20mg however the smallest dose I could find is 400mg still safe and it helped me get pg

Hello Marine_wife,
i have started vitex too on Jan17th. i am taking bluebonnet vitex extract. the recommened dosage on the bottle is 225mg. I am taking that but i also wonfering if it s too low. i saw on other websote that some women were taking up to 1200mg per day! i dunno...but i thought it was safe to start with a low dosage and increase it if it does not work.
Also i have an appt with my obggyn on the 28th,so will see if there is any difference. I am expecting her to do some blood tests...I will keep you posted.

20mg is what the study was done on you don't need that much some just go over board good luck!
