did your doctor maybe say he saw an echogenic foci (of focus)? That means that there is a calcium deposit in your babies heart. Sometimes it is a marker for Downs Syndrome but dont be worried because when they find something like that they do a TON of measurements of the brain and other things to make sure that no other markers show up. If no other markers show up then your baby doesn't have Downs Syndrome. With my 2nd/last son they found it and I was really worried because they acted sort weird when they found it. I cryed and cryed, even after the doc said that 50% of babies have it its just that previous technology never picked it up before. And that most adults have it too and it doesnt affect their health whatsoever. I was still very concerned but after doing research on the net I calmed down a bit. My baby boy was born April 27th of last year and he is in PERFECT health!!!! So chin up.. yours will be okay too :)

Thanks for replying. My Dr. just said there was a small echo and a tiny spot and it was common and he was shrugging it off , not to worry so what i'm thinking if it was something like that wouldn't he order more test ? Thanks again have a great day ;)

I thought the same thing but they never ordered more tests.. He probably just took a look at the brain and saw that everything looked good and the right size.. Thats what the did with me.. I was upset that they didn't do anymore tests, I wanted them done but my dr. a__sured me that there was nothing to worry about :)

I know that there are soft markers for things like Downs Syndrome but you have to have a lot of them to even get isn't a concern. I have seen this many times being on baby boards for years and they always turn out just fine.
