Chances Of Twins Multiples

OK, apparently I can do this. My situation is that I ovulate regularly and have no problem conceiving ( 7 pregnancies in 8 attempts), I have had successful pregnancies but have also had a problem with recurrent miscarriage. My RE has suggested a problem with my endometrium and this Monday I will start on 100 mg. clomid, days 3-7. Apparently, clomid can help the lining; I know other information says differently but my RE seems pretty knowledgeable. This will be followed by an HCg shot to stimulate ovulation and then progesterone injections daily until AF or 10-12 wks. preg. No IVF or AF, timed intercourse. I read what everyone said about mucus drying and will get Robitussin and Preseed. That all said, can anyone hazard a guess as to my chance of 1) conceiving the first month & 2) conceiving multiples? Thanks for the help. Sorry this is so long.

Hi Everyone. I took clomid during days 2-6 on 50 mgs. Well it's been 27DPO, and I am having symptoms of upset stomache and aversion to my meal tonight. I've got some cramping and last week I bled just a tiny bit. My b___sts had some shooting pains, and it's not so tender. Shall I dare think? Can anyone please give me any opinion??\

Jaime - September 5

Minerva: Well it sounds to me like you pregnant, they say the average leutal phase last 14 days so you have doubled that. I would do a test. Good luck. Jaime

Sunita - September 5

Hi All, Sunita here - haven't posted for a while now but all is okay - no news just yet - but have put things on hold for this month as we have family wedding and I will be very involved so won't be able to relax or take things easy and would rather not take the risk of strees affecting the situation. Anyway, the plan is to take clomid at the end of this month, go holiday to make the bding extra special and hopefully be ready to test when I get back...so watch this space, fingers crossed!!! Lauren how are you, have you done the test yet?? Baby dust to you all*******

Lauren - September 5

Praying for a baby boy (S) would love 2. To name after my brother who pa__sed 1 mth ago at age 29. Sunita good luck when you go away! Julie / Jaime Amanda how r u friends?

Sunita - September 5

SOOOOOO happy for Lauren - congrats!!

Amanda - September 5

Lauren, I am Sooo happy for you I could cry. I just new this would be our month. I will keep you in my prayers and thoughts. I am also scared of a m/c since I have also had one before. Best of luck and keep us informed.

Julie - September 5

Lauren, YEAH! Congrats!!! Can I say...I told you so! Somehow, I just knew you were pregnant. That's SO great! I really think there's more than one also, especially since you had some implantation bleeding and were pretty crampy. When do you see a doctor? They gave you a prescription for the Clomid, right? (I know you took it unprescribed the first month, but for some reason thought that they gave you a prescription for 100mg this time around...am I wrong?) If they knew you were taking Clomid, will they (hopefully) give you an early U/S to see how many babies are in there? I'm still waiting to ovulate this month, since I just finished my first AF since the miscarriage. I'm on CD 14, so it should be around anytime, unless the Clomid put it back a few days. It didn't the first time...(when I concieved, but later m/c'd). Hopefully I'll get a +OPK soon. Good Luck with everything. BABY DUST to everyone!

to anyone - September 5

My question is ? what happens if you take unprescibed clomid and conceive triplets ? Is that what happen to kim? And how to you explain this to the doctors? because triplets is so rare naturally, and will insurance pay for this ?

Hi Ladies It's negative. I tried Clear Blue Optimizer, but it says to use the test the first day you miss your period. And a__suming you did this, the instruction says to try again in 3 days. I'm going out to buy First Response since it seems to be more sensitive to small levels of HCG. I usually get my AF every 34 days, and I ovulated on the 18th day this month. I'm a bit bummed....... Min

Lindsay - September 6

Okay I'm done taking my clomid and only had a few hot flashes, but now I am getting them more ever!! is that normal??

Lauren - September 6

Thank you Amanda, julie, sunita for your support. Min I'm sorry you got a negative but, wait a few days & retest if AF doesn't arrive. Try everyone to stay positive. Julie - I had a script for the 1st & 2nd mth however upped my dose the 2nd mth to 100 from 50 by my own choice. I will be able to get an u/s pretty earlier I think. I am getting my blood work done tomorrow. We are dealing w/ alot right now not only did my brother get killed last mth, but my dh grandpa is on his last day & we have just sold our home & are moving to a farm...I fear the stress may get the better of me. Julie I would love to follow in Kim's shoes with Twins I hope your right. I pray this is your mth. Here's to happy bd'ing ladies. God bless u all.

Julie - September 6

Good Luck with everything, Lauren. And as hard as it is, remember to take it easy. I know that's not easily done when you're moving. I'm SO sorry for all the Loss your family is experiencing right now. Stay strong. You'll get through it. Thanks for you kind words. I hope this is the month also...I was due in March, and now if I get pregnant this cycle, I'll be due the last day of may. I really want to get pregnant again soon, but am worried it won't happen. We'll see. Good Luck with everything.

Jaime - September 6

Lauren: That is such fantastic news, I'm so pleased for you. You deserve some good news after what you have been through in the alst month or so. Good luck with the moving, I know how stressful it can be. Julie: I hope that this is your month, I have my fingers crossed for you. Min: I'm sorry to hear about the bfn hopefully it's just to early to tell. I got a bfn before my bfp with this pregnancy. Things are stil going well here I don't have too much to report, this pg has been sooo different to the last one. I'm not tired or sick or as emotional as last time. I'm hoping that it's a girl. Good luck and baby dust to everyone. Jaime

Amanda - September 7

Well ladies, I am really scared right now. I started spotting on Monday. I called the doctor and they want me to come in tomorrow to test my levels again. The soonest they will do an u/s is the 19th so I have to wait on that. I am hoping that this is nothing or maybe twins. I know women spot more when carring multiples. Please pray for me. I don't want to have another m/c. I don't know if I can handle it.

Julie - September 7

Amanda - I'm SO sorry about the spotting. Even though it could be nothing, and/or a sign of multiples, it has got to be SO scary when it's unknown...especially with a previous mc. When I get pregnant again, I'm going to be a nervous wreck. Which is unfortunate, because I doubt I'll ever be able to enjoy the beginning of a pregnancy the way I used to. I will definately be thinking of you. Let us know what your levels say. Good Luck, and LOTS of STICKY dust!
