Tricky, thank you! your prayers and encouragment always means so much to me. How bad was the recovery after your c section? Sorry for all the questions..my dh and I are strongly considering just having a scheduled csection, and not telling anyone about it. The whole natural birth and going into labor really scares me.

You should embrace the experience God Made women do this and we've been doing it for millions of years without drugs or any pain medication. I think you should trust your body because if you decide to have another baby you will have to do a C section then to.

What people choose to do with their bodies are their personal decisions. Everyone has their own opinions, and I believe G-d gave us medicine, doctors, surgeries and knowledge for a reason. People everywhere say they will go the natural way, and when push comes to shove they yell for an epidural last minute. If a c-section is so wrong, who is to say fertility meds are ok...that's not a natural resource, yet we use them to get pregnant. And of course you have to get a c section for a second child, but if you survive it once, you can easily do it again. Sometimes its not even a persons choice...and I like to get opinions of women who have experience in it, and know what they went through...Just Sayin

Hi everyone, congratulations to those who got you BFP's and sticky baby dust to those still waiting! Hopeful: I just had my baby 4 weeks ago and ended up having to have an emergency c-section after 25.5 hours of labour and 4 hours of pushing. I feel like I was able to experience both routes. When the labour is happening it was easier to cope by going into a focused zone. I too was nervous about the pain but was surprised at how my body just knew what to do. But because my son was sunny side up there was a lot of back labour, then he turned himself sideways and his shoulders got stuck therefore the emergency c-section. There are a lot of things they don't tell you about a c=section. You are not able to eat for two meals after(torture cause you're starving), the recovery time is a lot longer because it's major abdominal surgery, you won't poo for days and when you do t's so stinky, and the kicker for me was that you're recommended to not get pregnant again for 2 years to allow your uterus to heal so it won't rupture. Sorry that was so long. I hope it answered some questions for you (P.S. my opinion on drugs was: would you do a root ca___l without freezing? however I answered it was how I felt about them, haha) Everyone my baby boy has arrived! He was born on June 8, at 9:22am. He was 9lbs 11oz. (Brief recap: I had done 4 rounds of clomid, conceived on the fourth round at 150mg clomid, 1500mg metformin. I have PCOS. It will happen for you ladies and when it does your journey will be so worth it!!

Hopeful- I beleive it is a womens choice, but I also went through labor before a c-section and I would have loved to have him naturally and I just wasn't dialating. The pain is extreme (differes for women) while in labor though as I was having conctractions seconds apart for 12 hours and it was very painful for me (no drugs)and I had the worse ones of back labor! Doctor even gave me an option to wait a couple more hours to see if I would dialate beyond a 3 and I couldn't handle it anymore so I said let's get this baby out! My c-section wasn't so bad I don't think because I had an ovary removed when I was 2 months pregnant so had been cut there once already just 7 months prior to my c-section. It is pretty painful after as it is hard to walk straight up because of your muscles being cut. It is hard to poo afterwards as well, but stool softners help that out a lot.. I don't remember if I could eat or not as that was 10 years ago, but I do remember it only took about 1 week to recover from the surgery. Depends on your pain thresh hold I think... Don't be afraid of labor though as you have always stricken me as a very strong women and I think you would do great! They have epidurals and those help an to an extreme and the healing is so much faster naturally. But again, the choice is always yours1 :) Livy83- Hopeful makes a great point and also you can have the baby naturally after a c-section, you just have to find a doctor that will do it. It is just where I live they will not, they told me I could go about 3 hours out of town and the doctors in that town will do VBAC (v____al birth after Cesarion), but I choose not to have to go out of town to try to have my baby. I have also been told you only need to wait 1 year after a c-section to get pregnant again (could be different in other states). Hopeful- I am with you no matter which way you choose as when it comes down to giving birth all you think about it that little baby you will be holding soon! I think a planned c-section is nice this time around because I get to pick his birthday!

Hopeful..... I was also hoping for a natural birth with my DD but i had a placenta abruption at 41 weeks and they had to perform an emergency C section. The doc said i wouldn't go into labor until about 48 hrs and the bleeding was just too much, risky for me and the baby. C section is not that bad but the recovery time is longer than when you have a natural birth. I got preg again shortly before dd turns 1 and my doctor is looking into a natural birth unless if there is need for a section. I know one can have a section up to 3 times, good luck with whatever decision you make

Pricelessgirl, Congratulations on the birth of your little boy!! So exciting, you're a mommy now : ) what did you name him? Thank you for sharing your story. Why would they make you go through so many hours of labor before doing a c-section? Was that just your choice, or what they recommended? Tricky, thank you for your support as always. I always appreciate it. I have a few reasons behind why I want to just get a c-section. First, my obgyn is only on call at night, so if I happen to go int labor during day, I'm stuck with a doctr I've never seen before. The hospital by me sucks and if I go into labor, we have no way of getting to the hospital of my choice...calling 911 isn't an option either...they will just take me to the c___ppy hospital where I live...the emergency room and doctors there are ridiculous...I saw what my dad went through last month in 3 different hospitas, and I think that was a big factor in my decision...I don't want incompetant imbeciles touching me or my baby....so when I get the procedre done by my doctor, I will know I'm in good hands.I also want it to be quiet, and secret...I want nobody there but my dh...I don't even want to call my mom until after the baby is out...because it will belike bringing a 25 person freakshow to thewaiting room bothering and annoying me...since everyone in my family needs to know everything. Also, I don't think I mind facing a week of recover, I know it will be tough, but I would much rather go this route. My dh and I have discussed ad covered all bases and figure that is the way we want to go. Anyways, thanks for your info and input. I hope you have a great weekend! Merciano, thanks for sharing that with me. I hope you are able to have your natural delivery and I will keep you in my prayers for everything to go smoothly. I'm very happy and excited for you. When is your due date again? Livy, we are def. All here for support, and to give advice. I'm just trying to show you my reasoning behind my decision. Anyway, its nice to hear of peoples experiences and opinions, although I'm so stubborn, usually when I have my mind set on something, its almost imposible to change it.

Hopeful: We named him Wellington, he's super duper perfect! They gave me a choice to have an epidural to give my body a break and try again after some rest or I could have a c-section right away. I wanted to give it my best shot at doing a v-delivery before having to have a c-section. It was in the morning they allowed me to start pushing again and then the specialist came in and checked me and discovered that the way he was positioned in the birth ca___l (sideways) his shoulders were stuck and he wouldn't be able to get through that way. Afterwards the nurse said, I know that wasn't your birth plan. And I responded...my birth plan was get baby out..we succeeded! I wish you all the best in your decision making, the choices are only the beginning. It's so worth it all and I love being a mommy now, sticky baby dust to you all and hh9m to those expecting. I look forward to hearing more success stories in the near future!

Hi Ladies...Hope everyone had a great weekend! I haven't posted in a while, but I thought I would come on & tell everyone that I finally got a BFP!!! I tested on 7/4 & 7/5...and both tests came up + within 30 seconds! We are sooooo excited...but we are still very early on. All I'm doing now is relaxing, staying positive & saying my prayers! We are hoping for the very best & praying that I can continue on to a HH9M! I had my 1st blood test (hcg & progesterone) on Thursday & the 2nd (hcg) test on Saturday. The 1st test results came back perfect, but I won't get Sat.'s results back until probably sometime tmrw! Then I'm hoping I can get in to see my Dr. in the next week or so! Please keep us in your prayers!! Congrats to all the Mommies-to-Be & Baby Dust to all those still ttc!!!!

hello everyone! this is my first post. we have been TTC for 3 years. i am on my 4th month of clomid - now 150mg. first month: 50mg - prog. 3.8 (no O), second: 100mg - prog. 5.4 (no O), THIRD MONTH Clomid SUCCESS: 150mg - 26.84 (O!!!). the nurse said there was a chance I was pregnant but i got a BPN and on to the next month of 150mg. i am hoping clomid works and we are keeping our fingers crossed for a BFP this month. i wanted to share this b/c this forum and the stories have meant the world to me and have been very helpful. baby dust to all! i also wanted to note that I was using the Ovulation Predictor Kits BEFORE Clomid and was getting positive ovulation results, although i was not ovulating. only after I switch doctors and they ran BW did I find out I was not ovulating at all.

Hey ladies, congrats to all those who got their BFPs. I'm soo happy for you. I've been TTCing for 1yr now and clomid has done nothing to me which is kind of disappointing but everytime I see a baby in any one's arms I feel happy inside knowing that I will one day carry my own. My doctor is now moving on to another treatment HCG injections and triger shots which I should start at the end of this month. It is more expensive than clomind and can cost up to $2000. I'm lucky because our health care system is soo good so I'm getting the treatment for less than $800 with a private doctor. I'm happy I'm finally moving on to something else so hopefully I concieve on it. baby dust.

Hi Ladies sorry I haven’t been on in a while because they were bad storms last Thursday that knocked out our power and the electric company just got our power on today. I start AF Saturday so I am on cd 3; my RE has me taking clomid day 3-7 of cycle, so I started taking it today. I call my RE to let him know AF came. We talked on the phone about doing 3 rounds of clomid and if that don’t work, we will be moving on to IUI along with clomid and the HCG shot. He said that my insurance will cover all the monitoring/clomid/HCG shot and Trigger Shot/ Sperm wash/ and etc. All my husband and I will have to pay is $350.00 for the IUI it’s self. I will be having lab work done on Friday July 27th to see if ovulation took place. My husband will be leaving for training on July 27th, his fight is at 9 A.M. and returning on August 9th, his fight will be returning at 9 P.M. What will I do for 2wks without him? I will have to take care of the farm/house while he is gone Oo know. LOL. Pricelessgirl: Congratulations’ on your baby boy…. I am glad to hear everything went well for you my dear. Bpink83: Congratulations’’ on your BFP I am so excited and happy for you guys and honey I will keep you guys in my prayers…. Meesh-z: Welcome to this amazing site it has really helped me deal with so much and understand what I am and so many others are going through. I was using the OPK and got a positive every month and come to find out I wasn’t O every month but the OPK said I was that confused me too. Mariam25: Yes you will be holding a buddle of joy in your arms very soon. I will keep you in my prayers and let you conceive on the first time. I am going to be doing 3 rounds of clomid and I will be moving on to the IUI. Desert-Flower: Thank you so much I start clomid today cd3 I will be doing 3 rounds of this then I will be moving on to IUI. How is everything going for you? Hopeful86: Hi, how are you. I haven’t been on since the 2nd , due to we had some bad storms here in Ohio and knocked out our power for about 5 days. I am on cd3 I started clomid today. I also called my RE and he wants to do a couple rounds of clomid and then we are moving on to the IUI if clomid don’t want to work. I was on it with my OB-GYN but he did not monitor me what so ever so my RE is going to monitor me for a couple cycles with clomid and see. I am nervous about with but I know got is watching over each and every one of us. I talked with my RE about twins and multiples with clomid and he gave me 1 in 5 chances of twins because where I conceived them one and twins run in the family so we will see I guess. We also talked about IUI and it increases the chance more with the IUI. I told him the LORD will not put too much on us we could not handle.

Hello Every one, i;m very new to this forum. I have PCOS and started 50 mg of clomid last Friday (CD 3-7). Im also taking Metformin 2x a day for 1700mg. I happy to see all the stories here. I hope things will be working out for us, we've been trying a little over a year now, and my husband wants to have twins. I have a CD21 appointment on the 24 of July, i was told to start testing with OPK on the fifth day after the last clomid. Good luck to everyone. Anyone had a success with Metformin and 50 mg of Clomid?

Desert_Flower - July 9

Bpink – Congratulations! I am so happy for you! Think positive thoughts and I know you will have a hh9m. Jessica – I am doing okay. Taking it one day at a time, and waiting for AF to come so I can discuss with my RE on when we can start trying again. I’m sorry you got hit by those storms and power outages. It’s been crazy lately! That is great news that your ins will cover most of the cost – takes a little of the pressure off. My fingers are crossed that this will be your month!!! Welcome to all the news ladies!
