Hi ladies,, I'm new to this so I will start out with a little about me. My name is Courtney and I'm 23. My husband and I have been married for a little over a year and are ready to start a family... Well for the past year we have not used protection and I have not been on BC and we never got pregnant. I was worried so my doctor ran some test and I was dx with unexplained infertility. :( tonight is my last pill of Provera so i'm praying that my period comes. My doctor has started me on 50mg of Clomid. What have you ladies done with Clomid (prenantal pills or sweet potatoes anything) please any advice would help. my husband is almost 31 and ready for a family.

Argomez - good luck with your appointment today, I hope everything goes well! You and I are going to be close to cycle buddies this month. AF should arrive today so I should start yet another round of clomid on Friday. Hopefully this will be our month!
Yesi - good luck this cycle, that's great you don't have very many side effects from the clomid. My progesterone levels have been fine, but last month was my first month to include the estrogen to thicken my lining. I personally don't think it made that much of a difference for me, but hopefully it will for you
Ttcasimonsbaby - welcome! This forum has really slowed down a lot, but it is definitely a great place to find support and encouragement. I have tried just about all of the tricks of the trade, and don't think they make much difference one way or the other, but I am a firm believer in clomid. We also tried for a year to conceive and once on the clomid, I have had three pregnancies. Granted I also had 3 miscarriages, but that's not the clomid's fault :) If you find that the clomid dries you up, mucinex tablets are a great fix. Most people say robitussin, but I hate the taste of the stuff and mucinex does the same thing. I take a daily prenatal vitamin and extra folic acid just in case. My doctor also has me taking a dose of baby aspirin daily since it's supposed to help the blood flow to the uterus. They also say green tea is great, but only take it until you ovulate because it messes with the folic acid intake. If I think of anything else I'll let you know, lots of luck!

Argomez- Good luck at your appointment today!
ttcasimonsbaby- My doctor had me try something different and i got pregnant the first try. She had me take provera and induce my period and then based on a 28 day cycle start taking the clomid when my next period should have stated. Example:
I started my period August 5th based on a 28 day cycle I should have started my period on Sept 2 so that was day 1 and i took the clomid days 3-7. I got pregnant the first time!(with twins)! wouldnt hurt to try or discuss this with your doctor. my doctor said its better for implantation when the walls are not stripped down from the period.

Afternoon ladies.....Argomez how was yoru appointment? I'm sending prayers your way for good news. Welcome to the newcomers...sending lots of baby dust. I have faith our time will come! Hopefully sooner rather than later! I am expecting a call from my doctors office in the morning for my CD21 lab results. I know that I have not ovulated but I'm still testing 2x daily. Well will be 3x today actually, I'm so impatient! ugh! I'm keeping the faith I will still OV this month just a bit late. I will not be moving on to 200 mgs of clomid. I have done 4 rounds and have been unresponsive thus far so I will be asking doctor tomorrow to go ahead and send the referal through for the RE. I have made my first appointment with them already for Nov. 29th. I'm hoping to start Femara if this cycle is a bust. We shall see, clomid headaches are so horrible.
Cant wait to see come BFP's soon!

Good Evening Ladies!!! My appt. went wonderful! My Dr. said I have 12 viable eggs on left side (which is my good side cause my right is closed from an ectopic 2 years ago) and 6 on my right. He said things looked great and no cyst. My husband says God is definitely doing a work in my body seeing that I have PCOS and no cyst at all. :) I feel so blessed! I start femara (3 tablets daily) tonight cd3-7 and follistim shots cd7-9 and appt on cd10 and lastly IUI on cd11 if all goes well. We are excited but really relaxing and the last thing I'm doing is reading stories on the internet. I've decided this group is perfect for me and that's all I need, anything else I'll just call my Dr. :) P.S - can you believe the nurse said by cd11 my follies should be good enough to take ovidrel to have them released, that's insane to me. I guess that's why my Dr calls it "getting agressive" :) Please continue to pray for me and that the will of God be done in my life.
Yesi - Thank you for your prayers, they worked! :) Oddly enough, clomid never really did anything to me beside hot flashes and I got dizzy the day I would ovulate. lol. I know, very weird but praying all goes well and those headaches and dizziness go away soon.
ttcasimonsbaby - Welcome to the site! Seb is right, it has slowed down but we are trying to fix that. :) Praying your period comes super soon.
Seb - Good to hear from you lady! How are you doing? Any visits yet? What dose are you on this month?
maljaeflores - Thank you for your well wishes, things went really great! Can't wait for my next appt. Can you believe my follicles can actually be ready by cd11? that's insane!
myjournie - Thanks hun for your prayers, you ladies are awesome! I'm praying you get some sort of good news tomorrow morning, don't give up. I have to say even though I responded to both clomid and femara (dr. switched me b/c clomid was drying me up too much) many women only respond to femara. I hear many times those who don't respond to clomid instantly respond to femara so many prayers going your way! You are going to feel like a whole different ball park with an RE, they are amazing. Still praying you don't even have to go there though. Blessings!

Argomez - Hiii lady! I'm so happy to hear that you are back. What great news from the doctors today! Sounds like God is really with you and your husband. I still pray for you both often. You're support and kindness got me through the hard days of clomid and crazy hormones! I still have the prayer you sent me. Just know I'm going to keep updated with your cycle and I really won't stop until you have your beautiful baby. I have all the faith & hope in the world for you. My daughter is almost 8 months and even now can tell you it WILL be worth everything! :)
To all the other amazing ladies, this website was so incredible. We all understand what its like to struggle to conceive. My greatest suggestion would be, to ride it out and not obsess. I know its so hard but try to keep distracted as best you can. Sometimes the stress can really wear us down. Sending lots of baby dust to the wonderful mothers to be.

Argomez - I am so excited for you, I hope these aggressive steps are what you've been needing to get your bfp. Thanks for asking about me, I'm still debating whether or not to take a break this cycle. The last three months I've been on 100 mg clomid, had great follies and triggered and all bfn. Last month I added IUI and still no luck. If I try again this cycle, I'm just taking the clomid. No trigger, scans, etc, I want to do it on my own. I think the stress of everything was really wearing me down. Today is cd 2 so I need to make a decision pretty quickly, but I'm keeping all of you ladies ttc in my prayers :)

So I woke up a little dizzy this morning. That's definitely a first with femara but I haven't taken anything in about 6 months so it doesn't surprise me. DH & I are really expecting to respond really well to the new meds but I'm still trying to not think about it. Just doing protocol and following directions, I'm standing firm in not googling anything. It's kinda like my worst enemy b/c I read all these success stories and get so disappointed. I can't do that to myself anymore. Praying for you ladies! Be blessed today!
mrs.daisy - Hello there dear friend! Wow, 8 months already? I cannot believe how time flies. Thank you so much for the encouragement and especially for the prayers, I believe God really listens to these prayers. I know my BFP is right around the corner, just waiting to turn. :) You're awesome! Can't wait to share great news with you lady.
seb - Don't give up just yet, try another month. Sometimes I feel like I give up way to soon and what I was looking for was just a step away and I end up starting back at square one. I'm praying for you, hang in there a little bit longer but definitely listen to your heart, the Holy Spirit will guide you. Thank you for your kind words, I really hope this works. :)

Argomez- How amazing is that! So thrilled for your good news. I pray this is your month.
Seb- Dont give up.....just try to de-stress this cycle. I know easier said than done but if all the new moms had given up then they wouldnt now have their little angels. Ask and you shall recieve! ( to bad he didnt give us an approx date that we would recieve! lol)
It will happen for us I just know it.
As for me....well as suspected. Prgesterone level was a whopping .6 Yes thats it, not even a whole point! I was prepared for this though. Good news is I am now having OV syptoms. nips are bit more sensitive that usual and I am having some pain in lower ab. not so much pain but achey heavy feeling. So I hope Cheetch and Chong are gearing up to release! I'm on CD23. I took a OV text this morning and the line if def there but not as dark just yet.(i normally have no line at all, not even a fint line so this is exciting) I'm hoping with my evening text it will be super dark and we can get on with the BDing! hehehe you can bet my DH is loving every minute on this! "just say when honey" lol I bet!
I pray for us daily. God is good he just has more patience than we do.
Will keep you posted.

argomez - thank you for the kind words! I really think you're right, I need to just keep going. I really feel like God has placed it on my heart to try just one more month. I know the trigger shot works for so many people, but I really think that's what my problem was. I was getting pregnant fine without it and the last three cycles with it, nothing. I think I will give it at least one more shot. How amazing would that be for us to be able to announce our pregnancies at Christmas?!
Myjournie - Thank you for your kind words as well. Haha I so wish He gave us the date it would happen so we could just continue with the motions and not think about it. I think I need to just take argomez's advice and just quit googling everything. All it does is get your hopes up and then makes you that much more disappointed when it doesn't work. I'm glad you are getting ready to O, lots of baby dust your way!

Argomez - this all sounds so exciting. I echo totally what Mrsdaisy says - I keep checking back here to see how you are and I will continue to do so until I read that you have a son or daughter - I just KNOW it will happen! You have been such an inspiration to so many others on this site.
I try to keep an eye on this site and the FB group, but I'm afraid that my attentions are now in other support groups linked to my husband's mantle cell lymphoma. I know it is off topic, but I ask if you guys would pray for us, especially from the 21st November when my husband has to undergo a stem cell transplant. It is a very scary time.
To everyone on here I echo mrsdaisy - this site is great and a tremendous support. We all know the struggles and the emotional rollercoaster of ttc. My daughter is now 4 months. It happens, and I am an old lady of 44!

myjournie - Sounds like your body is telling you more than any bloodtest could, that's awesome. I have a love/hate relationship sometimes with my body. lol.
Seb - Definitely listen to your heart babe, go another round and skip the trigger, I think you know exactly what you need to do. Praying for you!
ttcasimonsbaby - So the countdown begins. I usually got my period after provera within 3 days so hoping it flys by! Praying and hoping for you.
Peef - Hello there dear friend! You ladies can sure make me tear up! Thank you so much for your encouragement, you few ladies who have stayed behind to check on my bless my heart more than words could ever say!!! I am so thankful to have sisters like you and I too KNOW that soon I will come on here with the most joyful news. Thank you again! and of course we will pray for your husband. You of all people know the miracles God is capable of performing, now we'll pray for another. :) Please keep me updated.

Did anyone else not have a period for 3+ months and your doctor put you on Provera and Clomid the first time ? I just finished my Provera today and I'm waiting for my period. My doctor wants me to go ahead with the Clomid even though I havent had a period in months. From what I have read others did it different. He did tell me to get a O kit and start using it. My hubby and I are so ready to be parents I think I would do anything at this point.
