Meg- I took it days 5-9 50ml. I was hoping for one, I knew it was possible but WOW. I am shocked. I'll tell you though-I have been so bloated and sick as a result of having so many, so the Dr says?? This is my first cycle taking it. You?

Thanks sammommy! Nicole, I just finished my 2nd cycle 50 mgs on days 3-7. I go in for my hcg shot next Monday. I'm just hoping it's not too late. Anyone know about this? Last month I had it on CD13 & my follicle was measuring 22mm, but CD13 this month is on Sunday, so I am going in Monday morning. Anyone know if this will be too late?

Meg ~ I think it would be ideal if you could do it on Friday, because the shot is supposed to help ripen the eggs. In IVF, the eggs are collected 36 hours after the shot. 36 hours would put you right into Sunday, your "mature egg" time :) Monday might be too late since release can occur at 20mm (Saturday for you!) What does you Dr. say.....curious :)

when I was there last month on CD13 for my ultrasound to check my follicles I had one (I'm not sure about any others) that was measuring 22mm, & the dr. said that was great...she said anything between 20 & 24mm is what they are looking for the shot to be successful. She then went on to say that for my next cycle if CD 13 fell on Saturday to come in on Friday (CD12) & if it was on Sunday to come in on Monday (CD14). I'm also worried that it's going to be too late. I know that once AF starts it's considered CD1, regardless of what time she shows up, but she did show up pretty late in the evening to get this cycle started, & my shot is Monday morning at 9am. Should I call & confirm that this is what I really should do? Thanks for the help!

OK ladies, need some advice. I don't know whats going on. The past two days my left ovary and lower back on left side has been hurting. I noticed yesterday but didnt think much about it because it wasnt that bad. But, this afternoon it was really bothering me. Also, when I went to the bathroom I noticed the cloudy, sticky looking substance. I am also very tired (fell asleep this afternoon from 5 to 7) and I feel like I have fever. This sounds like ovulation to me, but I am supposed to start Friday. I figured this was too late to be ovulating? What do you think?

Hi I am new here me and my hubby have been ttc for 4mo. I am on my first cycle of clomid I am on 100mg. Now I am in my ovulation period. I am using opk but i read that the clomid can effect the test does anyone know how accurate the tests are when you are on clomid?

LADYSHEP- I was wondering the same thing. Every time I take an opk it says that I am not ovulating. But if you read my post earlier- my ovaries and back are hurting so bad! So, I don't know if the things are accurate or not. How did you get so lucky to get on 100 mg after 4 mths? My doctor would not let me try anything till at least a year after we started trying. I took 50 mg in August and I am supposed to do the same thing for Sept. I wish he would go ahead and up my dosage!

poohqua-before you started clomid didn't your DR do an untrasound to make sure your ovaires were okay...that would show if you were pregnant, I would think. Ladyshep-I am in the same boat, the OPK are difficult to read, I just took one and it was slighlt darker, but who knows?? I have 4 focciles with mature eggs as of yesterday-so the dr said that I was ovulating yesterday and today-Imagine 4 babies-yikes! I am in pain today, I can feel it!

I think you are right about the Clomid skewing the OPK's, but I am not positive. OPK's have never worked for me! I have one ds, & according the my OPK, I was not Oing...well, 9 months later I gave birth, so I"m quite certain I was! :-) I think the only way to know with 100% certainty is with an ultrasound around CD14 or a progesterone test on CD21. I really hope that this is my month to get pg, but if it's not, I think I am going to talk to my dr. about going up to 100mg of Clomid. Sammommy, I just talked to my dr. about the hcg shot, & they said that CD11 (which is what this Friday would be) would be too early, the follicles would not be mature enough. I didn't even think to ask them what happens if I have already O'd by the time they give me the shot. Any ideas? All it is is a pg. hormone, so I'm thinking it can't hurt anything?

elwood I don't know what that could be I wished I had more advice for you. So far as the ? do I have a good doc- she seems okay. I just switched doc myself my last doc was a piece of work. Sammommy my doc. office is quite small with only 2 doc there so me going in for my blood wk befor the 1st is a no-no. Ladyshep when you buy opk they tell you on the box that results may not be accurate if you have pcos or taking fertiliy meds. I totally agree with sammommy to have your doc to a follicle scan that way there is no guessing involved. Elwood I hope you feel better. As for me the same thing just a different day. still no AF and still light brown when I wipe. Sammommy I am going to make sure that I request a follicle scan if I am not preg. And I will ask about another brand of metformin, they may need to increase that as well. good luck ladies.

Thanks ladies. Well I think I Olinged. I had this pain on m left side and a little on my right. Now it gone. As for the 100mg Elwood I dont know how I got that lucky. I am schedule for a progesteron test. Do anyone know whats the earliest you can take a prg test? Would the follicle scan be worht getting now that I have already pa__sed my window of oing? Thanks

Well today I took another opk and I was not o. So I am pretty sure that opk worked for me. So I guess it may be different for different people. Just wanted to share that with everyone.

Hi Ladies, I hope everyone is doing well. I should have come to this forum earlier, I have been visiting other forum but they are all talking about negative side of clomid. I am very irregular since I was young. My hubby & I ttc for 1 1/2 yrs. I fell pregnant 5 yrs ago when we just started going out, I was still in uni, so I had a termination. From then, I thought I can fall pg easily no problem. After we got married, we started trying 1 1/2 yrs ago, finally fell pg after 9 months of trying, but mc just 2 weeks later. We were very sad, but at least I fell pg twice. Since then, I am very stressful and anxious every month, especially my sis-in-laws fell pg the second month she tried. And my in-laws have been giving me a little hard time. Anyway, I started my first dose of clomid 4 months ago, started 50mg from day 2 - 6. did blood test, ovulated on day 22. Then, I changed to a new fertility doc, she want to stop taking it, because she wanted to monitor my normal cycle without clomid, period on day 41. She asked me to start taking clomid again on 50mg, day 2 - 4. u/s shows I have 4 follicles, 2 on each side, only 1 growing, but stop growing at 15mm. She also prescribe me progesterone pasteries shorten my cycle and also to give up that cycle. She put me back to day 2 - 6 this cycle. I actually find that I have more good quality mucus if i take 5 days. I started to have those good quality mucus on CD10 (kinda early), we had I/C just in case. Second day, good mucus stopped. After a cup of coffee, I felt sick & nausea, we thought it can't be so lucky!! since then I have been having morning sickness symptoms, like nausea, vomit, tired, sore, heavy b___bs & mild cramps on both sides. Did blood test on CD16, they said I ovulated, again on CD17 they said my estrogen and progesterone only drop very very slighty (should dropped significantly after ovulated), so I also donno whats going on, but I am 100& sure that I am prego, because I have no such symptoms the other 2 times taking clomid, only very mild hot flush. I took a pg test on CD23, negative, I guess too early to test. My doc aks me to take the test again next the earliest next Tue if I haven't get my period.... counting down every day... my morning sickness is reducing, b___bs still heavy, little nausea but gets pretty tired at night and sore back. BTW, I am also started my progesterone treatment... wish me luck ladies and to you all. good luck!!!

Good luck PL. I am sitting here anxiouse. I dont take a preg test until next week that would be week 3 for me. I have been experiencing nausea but I think it is to soon. I just o last night Iguess.But I took a opk and it was neg but for the past three days it was pos. Good luck to you
